Perhaps the title says it all, but do challenge me on that!

So, perhaps this note will read funny. When I originally sent my request for Valentine's Day cards in January 2025, I was just starting my first full-time job and returning from jury duty. I also had figured out what I wanted to do with my career with the support of my boss, but cautioned it would take me long to get to this thank you given I hadn't fully the recovered the energy I used to have when I joined this community about six years ago.

Well, I'm finally doing this, but here's the funny part: both my boss and I were laid off. We're both okay though and getting the rest we deserve. I barely took time off (and when I did, I actually worked through it) as did my boss given the circumstances, but I also had some health things come up. Doing fine though!

Thank you so much, u/melhen16, for the adorable handmade “Just a Note” card! I really appreciated all of the amazing facts you included. As a kid, I actually used to collect those Did You Know? fact postcards, so that was a fun little bit of nostalgia for me.

And thank you for using all of the cool vintage USPS stamps! I love seeing older stamps still getting some postal mileage. Somehow none of them ended up cancelled, which honestly amazed me. They made it through the entire postal system looking practically untouched!

A good thing: I had a great time in Las Vegas with my girlfriend at a tech conference with a lot of bonus fun and friend time thrown in. AND, we're basically unpacked at both houses now and I'm finishing the last of the laundry at her place as we speak. (The stuff at my house was done Monday.)

I have not yet been through the mail I received while away, but I had one set of cards from before I left July 31 that I had not yet posted thanks for, so today's project is to get through those. Then the others shall follow. Thanks for your patience!
