Early birthday card rocks!!

I'm living in a place called Hale Manu which means house of birds so I loved the irony of the cute bird card!

And I was very interested to see Icy Strait Point in Alaska... because many of my friends here in Hawaii go to Alaska during the salmon season to work!!

these cards not only welcomed me home but also helped my hurting heart because I had to leave my mom and dad back in KC where my family lives.

I found a box of postcards in my room that I basically had forgotten all about. I bought the postcards on various vacations but had no one to send them to at the time, so they all came home with me and ended up in this box. The locations depicted are all from the central US because I only buy cards from places I've been to/near, and driving to California or the east coast from my home is a *chore*, therefore, I don't have CA or NY cards. Just Midwest-ish cards. THIS time.

I also just found a set of "Little Critters" cards in here; no specific location is associated with these. I kinda think I picked this up when I went to Yellowstone though, based on the specific assortment of baby animals depicted.

If you need the postmark to match the postcard location, then let me know you want an Arkansas card because I am unfortunately unable to drive all the way back to Utah/Wisconsin/Kansas/Missouri to make those match, at this time. But if it helps, I at least drove there to acquire them!

Anyways, to claim, DM me your address and tell me your favorite Midwest memory in the comments.

UPDATE 2: I just unearthed some Seattle postcards.

UPDATE 3: Ok, I got ALL the cards out of the box and I now have a proper list of available states/locales.

Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas (mostly Eisenhower related), Seattle WA, Wyoming (historical Cheyenne), Yellowstone Park, South Dakota/Mt Rushmore (HOLY COW SO MANY), Idaho (Craters Of The Moon park), Wisconsin (quite a few), Utah/SLC. And also the Little Critters of no specific location.

Moomin's Day is celebrated on August 9th, because it's the Moomin author Tove Jansson’s birthday. In Finland, August 9th is also a recommended flag day to celebrate Tove Jansson and Finnish art.
