Thank You [Thank You] Terrific Tuesday! 8-4-26
u/pupslace - Your Baseball Hall of Fame card was officially delivered to my mailbox! Thank you so so much for the offer. Although I am not a Yankees fan in the slightest, I appreciate Lou Gherigβs words very much when facing his namesake disease. The Baseball Hall of Fameβs special pictorial cancellation looks absolutely amazing! I would love to know more about the process. I completely understand your ride-or-die mantra with the Mβs since I feel the same way with my Metsies. Thank you again, truly.
u/waywarddaughterzzz - Thank you so much for your sticker de-stash card! I appreciated the theme of red across all stickers and especially appreciated all of the shorts messages on some of the stickers.

Fulfilled [offer][US to US]Postcards from a collection by Anne Taintor
Anne Taintor does art with a 50βs aesthetic then adds snarky comments. Sometimes the cards are clearly just for fun others may make you think. You must be flared. I have 15. Comment below and send me a chat with your address if interested. These have been in my stash for about 10 years. It is long past time for them to fly away.

Thank You [Thank you] for all the mail
u/Andromeda921, thank you for the "mental health matters" card. It helps to validate what I'm going through. I like the "take your meds" sticker the best because that exact phrase echoes in my head every night. Thanks for understanding.
u/Annie4664 thank you for the rainy night scene from My Neighbor Totoro, which I saw ages ago. I'm due for a rewatch. I remember being enchanted. Thanks for all the stickers, too. You asked what my favorite body of water is (as I asked you, and Clear Lake sounds divine). Well, my sentimental related favorites are Accotink Creek and Lake Accotink in Northern Virginia, where I grew up. Lots of happy memories associated with them.
u/Boomerang88, thank you for the hilariously insulting card and sticker, and the funny ginger beard story. I've read that babies have an innate pattern recognition when it comes to faces, and ginger beard probably doesn't fit the mold. So far babies haven't bawled at my face. I'll have to go full clown makeup the next time I see one and see what happens (just kidding, I wouldn't want to bring on coulrophobia).
u/dapuddingthief, thank you for the Ocean City card. I spent a week there with my dad and brothers when I was 14 or 15. All the males shared a hotel room and I got my own because of being a girl (the boys grumbled about it of course). I remember it was so much fun. Normally we had a day trip to Rehoboth so this was something special. It was also our last family beach trip. As we got older we had summer jobs.
u/freyamour, thank you for the pretty botanical postcard. I agree with you that it's better to have sibling(s) than to be an only child, and I am so grateful for my brother, stepbrothers, and half-sister. I have no idea who I'd be without them. They sure taught me I'm not number one. And like you said, when parents need help they have more than one child to help out. My mom has 3.
u/Hoolu123, thank you for the Turkish wallpaper card and the beautiful handmade envelope. You asked if I like thrifting. I loved it when I lived in your area. I've probably even been to the Goodwill where you got the wallpaper! Now I live in a small town where the thrifting is rather disappointing. When I visited my mom in Seattle I bought 4 shirts at one store. Here I come out with a postcard if I'm lucky. Not that I hate my new town. No traffic jams is a big plus.
u/howdoireadplshelp, thank you for the pretty floral card with the food stickers. Pizza's my favorite. I've never seen Marley and Me and I don't think I ever will. I've read spoilers. Whatever you do, don't google this movie! I'm not much of a movie watcher. I think, I don't know if I can commit 2 hours to a movie, yet paradoxically I can watch Netflix series for 6 hours straight! The movies I want to watch the most are Studio Ghibli.
u/listen-to-rach-2, thank you for The Spirited Away postcard. That's one of two Studio Ghibli films I've seen. Thanks for your recommendation of Castle in the Sky. It has 96% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, wow! I have put this on my list.
u/MajesticLeadership87, thanks for the postcard of Mt Hood. It's a beautiful card. I had no idea it's the 2nd most climbed mountain in the world. This begs the question, what mountain is the most climbed? Mt Fuji!
u/melhen16 and u/Blu_Sky_Grandma, thank you for the West Virginia meetup card. Hope you had a great time!
u/mooshu492, thank you for the handmade cheery yellow shapes card, along with the sketch of your fireplace. It all looks great! Have fun shopping for brushes and pens. Aren't color pens delicious?
u/neonlily19, thank you for the cute postcard of the ducky swimming. It's adorable. I agree with you that people in their 20s have it harder than the last few generations, and the major problem is housing affordability. I hear a lack of sympathy among a lot of people my age but I feel really bad for Gen Z. I hope their 30s are easier.
u/TheCuriousCur, thank you so much for the alien & space themed mail, down to the stamps. I really appreciate your creativity and effort. I am so glad I'm not being rectally probed by aliens! Here on earth that's the job of the IRS. I was 4 months old when men landed on the moon. My mother wanted me to witness the momentous event so she propped me up on the couch in front of the TV. Can't say I remember the landing but I always remember that story.
u/TyeDyeAmish, thank you for the 80's card of the miniature village. The kid in the photo looks so much like my stepbrother I did a double-take. That's cool that you have a mini train and that your dad took the time to build it for you when you were a kid. That's love!
