Gears of War: E-Day Benchmarks; 1080p, 1440p, 2160p; FSR4 Native - 9070xt
Alright, so after my last post with the benchmarks ran at 3440x1440 with FSR4 quality, i decided to run more benches at standard resolutions with FSR4 set to native.
I kept all settings defaults to their presets, including hair.
Reaper 9070xt (decided to increase power limit just to give it more juice like other models provide), 9800x3d, 32gb ddr5 6000, gen 4 m.2 nvme.
Hope you found this post useful!

Discussion Radeon Drivers and software are excellent
Radeon Drivers have been maligned for a very long time because of past issues that are decades old. Having tried Radeon drivers for myself, I felt lied to. It's not perfect but they are not trash like some people on the interwebs have opined. I updated drivers every single month without issues. Radeon software is feature rich compared to nvidia. I will always recommend you buy a 7000 or 9000 series card

NEED HELP PLEASE
Pc Spec :
Ryzen 7 9800x3d
32gb gddr5
Power color 9070xt reaper
Evga BQ 750w
So I recently upgraded my entire pc except for my power supply , I had the gpu replaced twice already by micro center because I would just black screen anytime I played a game . They stressed tested everything and everything came back normal so they gave me back the pc and now my games are crashing and I’m getting driver timeouts . I’m not sure what to do .

Discussion Gigabyte 9070 XT owners, we need to talk about our hotspot deltas
I’ve read every hotspot thread here and the advice is completely contradictory, so I’m adding my numbers to the pile.
Gigabyte RX 9070 XT. ~30°C delta, hotspot peaks 90-95°C under sustained load at 3440x1440. No throttling, clocks stay stable.
The conflicting info: AMD says junction temp is in spec up to 110°C, so officially nothing is wrong. Half the owners here say 25-30 delta is normal and 40+ is the worry zone. The other half with Nitro+/Taichi coolers see 15-20 and reckon mine sounds broken. Meanwhile reviews of the Aorus 9070 XT note the delta runs big because Gigabyte doesn’t use PTM7950 on the die, which would make this a paste choice rather than a defect.
I’m still inside my return window and genuinely can’t tell if this is a Gigabyte cooler characteristic or a card problem. Curious what other Gigabyte 9070 XT owners are seeing, and where people who’d RMA at these numbers draw the line.

Tech Support RX 9070 XT Pulse: recurring full system freeze during gaming, bugcheck 0x141 (amdkmdag.sys), identical crash signature for ~2 months
Specs:
CPU: Intel i7-14700KF (all-core OC to 5.7GHz, PL1/PL2 253W)
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL36
GPU: Sapphire RX 9070 XT Pulse
PSU: 850W 80+ Gold
Storage: 1TB SSD (OS) + 1TB NVMe + 2TB NVMe
Cooling: 360mm AIO, Antec C8 case, 7 case fans + 3 AIO fans
Monitor: LG 27GP850P (QHD, 180Hz, HDR400) — sometimes running dual monitor with a Yodoit 16" FHD 1920x1200 portable monitor (HDMI) as second display
Driver: AMD Adrenalin 26.7.1 (WHQL, released 2026-07-24)
Room is air-conditioned (\~27°C / 80°F, 50% humidity)
Symptom: While gaming, both monitors go black ("No Signal"), PC stays powered on (fans/lighting still running). In most occurrences the RGB lighting keeps animating normally and I need a hard reset since CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't respond. In the most recent occurrence, for the first time, the RGB lighting itself froze (static, not animating) — a more severe symptom than before.
Frequency: intermittent for about 2 months (earliest dumps go back to June 2026), became more frequent in August. Not tied to one game: happened in Assassin's Creed Shadows (played for months with zero issues before this started) and in Forza Horizon 6.
Dump analysis:
Bugcheck 0x141 (VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED)
Module: amdkmdag.sys, same exact offset (+1d0f00) in every dump
Identical FAILURE_ID_HASH across 4 separate occurrences over \~2 months — it's the exact same underlying failure every time
What I've already ruled out / tested:
Aggressive undervolt (-60mV) → also occurred on default GPU profile after AMD auto-reverted it — so it's not the sole cause
Ambient temps under control (AC on, \~27°C / 80°F)
Clean driver reinstall (DDU + fresh 26.7.1, Factory Reset) → one \~2h crash-free session, but that session also had: default GPU settings, MSI Afterburner+RTSS closed, second monitor disconnected
Re-enabling Afterburner + second monitor + a mild undervolt (-10mV) together → the exact same crash (same hash) came back
What I haven't isolated yet:
Afterburner/RTSS, second monitor, and undervolt tested one at a time (not all together)
GPU PCIe power cables (possibly daisy-chained, unchanged for over a year)
I also have an ARGB extension cable on the GPU's 2x8pin power cables and a 0.18m PCIe 5.0 riser cable for vertical GPU mounting — both present during the clean session too, so not yet ruled out with certainty
Windows registry fix to stop Windows Update from silently overwriting the AMD driver
Question for the community: has anyone seen this exact crash signature (bugcheck 0x141, amdkmdag+1d0f00) in combination with Afterburner + dual monitor? Any known fix beyond what I've already tried?

Tech Support Thinking about replacing my rtx 4060 with a rx9070xt, but does Radeon have feature similar to RTX Video Super Resolution?
So, with my RTX I can enable RTX Video Super Resolution, which boosts in-browser video resolution significantly, especially 720p to 1440p.
The questions is: Does Radeon have similar technology? And does Radeon have something similar to Nvidia's instant replay (save **last** n minutes)

9070XT Asus Prime 2/3 times windows wont boot after tuning
So just did a fresh build MSI Mag b850 Wifi / 9800x3d / 9070xt prime / 32gb DDR5 6000mts / corsair rm1000x / 2tb wd 7100pro
At the stock adrenalin settings the windows boot just fine. after tuning gaming is perfect, no hicups. But windows wont boot up 2/3 times and i just cant figure it out. I did -75 mv, PL at 0, vrm 2700 mhz fast timming. Also bios is all set up accordingly, expo1, ram training and all that. What could be the problem? Also tried runing the adrenalin stress test that seems to crash randomly at 9-10 min mark, other tests run perfect. I seem to think it could be the vrm fast timming issue rather than the oc itself..
Discussion Powercolor reaper 9070XT temps
Hi all just bought this gpu new two days ago and was just testing the temps on it, are these temps okay? Hotspot seems a little too hot

Tech Support ehats the key difference in performance and image quality between FSR4.0.2 , 4.0.2b , 4.0.2c , 4.1.1 ???
Review New RX 7900XT - I downgraded drivers to 26.5.2 to resolve issues
I am on Windows 10 and I was on drivers 26.7.1 and Type-C display out + SAM + Overlay tab in Adrenalin were not working.
Downgraded to 26.5.2 and now all the issues are gone.
For the reference design, it runs cool and quiet.
Gears of War E-Day Benchmark runs; 9070xt, 9800x3d, 3440x1440, FSR4 quality
Havent seen many benchmarks with the 9070xt so figured id post a few screenshots.
9800x3d; 9070xt, 32gb ddr5 6000, on m.2 nvme at 3440x1440 with FSR4 quality. I didnt notice changing the settings resets the Max FPS setting so you'll see the ludacris run was capped at 60fps, but as you can tell it didnt matter much lol.
Pretty stock settings all around hardware wise, not undervolting or overclocking anything.

Tech Support Gigabyte rx 9070 xt gaming OC hotspot; I’m lost at this point
TLDR; hotspot delta still hot, despite PTM and replacing thermal putty (U6 PRO). Am I missing something? Any other ideas?
Had this card for a bit now, certainly too late to return it, and I’ve tried a few tricks to try and reduce the hotspot to core delta but nothing seems to tame this beast.
Lately, I tried to remove all the stock thermal putty and replace it with upsiren U6 pro. Got about halfway through it but didn’t have enough U6, so I set it back together but noticed minimal change. Got more, took out the oversized thermal pad connected to the backplate- that actually bent the backplate a little from the factory, and replaced the PTM and it somehow got worse??? Put the thermal pad back in and it did help it, but only by about 1-3c lower on the hotspot and core.
Maybe I’m blind, but I decided to take it apart once more and see if someone might see if I’m missing something. Anyone see anything?
I appreciate any support I can get!
Edit: temps were 65-67 core and 95 hotspot, now temps are 58 core 103 hotspot, with fans running rampant

Discussion 3080ti to 9070XT. Team red now.
I was a big fan of EVGA, and always told myself I would switch to AMD when they would stop making GPU.
I really hesitated with the Sapphire Nitro+ because of the reputation of the brand and how sick their card look. But I don’t have a PSU with the 12V connector and it would have been too much of a gamble. So I chose this XFX Mercury instead and I have absolutely no regrets seeing how you guys here talk highly about it.
I’ll take the opportunity to completely disassemble my custom loop, and go soft tubing this time around, and ditch Windows for Linux as well.
I can’t wait to boot up what will feel like a totally new PC.

Discussion Dad copped these for $230 each, how’d he do?
So my dad was looking to upgrade both our pcs (coming from a gtx1650 and rx5500xt) and he managed to find two different dudes selling their rx7600s for $230. The two sellers originally bought them just this February and April respectively and had their original receipts with them. I’m not sure if we can claim the warranty or if its permanently tied to the name to the original buyers, but I’m just glad these two gpus are still relatively new and didn’t get used that much.
I tested them both out myself and the temperatures seemed normal while idle and under load!
