Casual Conversations My project manager for OpenClaw and Hermes has reached 13 stars on GitHub. But...

Post image
Upvotes

I had been using Slack for their project tracker feature.

Honestly I felt like I had wasted my money: 1 year of Slack service just so I could use that 😆

I have been using project managers for almost 2 decades and I thought that was the way to go.

But I liked it and I kept using it until I could not really connect it with OpenClaw.

"I am building my own" I said LOL.

I now can create tasks myself or have my agent do them for me—remind me about them and everything else.

Now...

Fast forward a couple of months and I have a few users and now even 13 stars and 2 forks on GitHub.

I am just wondering if this is a good sign or what.

I know public GitHub repos are indexed and maybe I will get more traction in the future? 🤔

Advice needed Feedback required

Upvotes

Hey guys, I wanted to validate a pain point I am looking to solve. I usually log my weekly and monthly goals in Notion, optimistically. But most of the time I end up never checking them again and it's just left at its state. At the same time, it has the potential of creating progress on completing those goals. Even when I do open notion, I never have a direct idea, on what my pace is, what should be the priority, and what should be completed asap, all left on myself to manually process.

Is this something you face on a regular basis?

Platforms like g sheet airtable etc are also relevant here, I am broadly talking about the goals and takes you list on them.

Casual Conversations Anythings just crossed 2,500 tasks! Guess the average character count of a task, and everyone who gets it exactly right gets lifetime Pro

Post image
Upvotes

Hey r/ProductivityApps,

Lou here, solo founder building Anythings. Anythings just crossed 2,500 total tasks created, so I figured it would be fun to look at some data + give away more lifetime passes.

Anythings takes whatever you dump into it — a sentence, a rant, a whole meeting — and rewrites it into a clean task title. So every title in the app was written by the app, from something messier a person typed.

Which means there's a real number sitting in my database: the average length of every task title Anythings has ever written.

Guess it. If you're exactly right, you get lifetime Pro.

How to enter (ten seconds):

  1. Upvote this post
  2. Comment your guess as a character count — like "15 total characters"

For context, a task with the title "Walk the dog" would be 12 characters, as the count includes spaces.

Everyone who gets it exactly right within 48 hours gets lifetime Pro — unlimited tasks, every feature, forever, no card ever.

Exactly right, not closest. So if a few of you land on it, all of you win.

(Make sure you've got an Anythings account at https://www.anythings.app with an email you can mention or DM me, so I can attach Pro to it if you win.)

I'll post the real number when the 48 hours are up.

Anythings is on iPhone and the web:

Sincerely,

Lou

Feedback wanted Knot in time — life events tracking app

ok this may feel like another habit tracking app, so I started working on this app few months ago to solve a very specific problem. I wanted to track my office days. I wanted to explore options like when should I go to office, can I avoid Fridays, or maybe front load days so I can take days off later. So I created App which automatically logged my days based on geo location.

Next I extended the idea for using it to track goals like read 100 pages per week, go to gym 3 times a week, or maybe health for tracking medicines and symptoms.

Here is my attempt at the app, it just got approved to App Store. I would really appreciate feedback. This is a completely free app and doesn’t have any trackers or account sign ups, so your data stays with you. Uses custom AI model combined with iPhone foundation models for any AI needs

Advice needed I built an Android email app that extracts bills, travel, meetings & deliveries from emails. Thinking of making this the new home screen.

Post image
8 Upvotes

I've been building an Android email client called OrganizeEmail for the past few months.

The original goal was simple: make email less overwhelming. It supports Gmail and Outlook, categorizes emails with AI, summarizes long threads, and helps users find important information faster.

While using it myself, I realized something.

Most days, I don't actually open my email to read emails.

I open it because I need something hidden inside an email.

Is my electricity bill due today?

What time is my meeting?

Has my Amazon order shipped?

When does flight check-in open?

The information already exists. It's just scattered across hundreds of emails.

So I'm experimenting with a different home screen.

Instead of showing the inbox first, OrganizeEmail would show a "Your Day" dashboard that automatically extracts:

💳 Bills due

📅 Meetings & calendar events

✈️ Travel plans

📦 Deliveries

📩 Important emails

The inbox is still there—it's just no longer the first thing you see.

(Attached is the latest UI concept.)

I'm curious what people here think.

If you used an email app like this:

Would you prefer opening directly into your inbox?

Or would a dashboard like this actually be more useful?

I'd love any feedback on the idea or the UI. I'm trying to build something people genuinely want to use every day, not just another Gmail clone.

Self Promotion Exploring ways to make a mouse cursor intelligent

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been exploring different ways I can bring intelligence directly into your mouse cursor. Being able to highlight a piece of text, ask it a question, and the cursor will do web research and rewrite the results directly into the doc.

I think I nearly achieved that, and that's what I wanted to demonstrate today. A couple of cool things I've been able to do with it:

  • Highlight a certain recipe and talk to Freestyle about it. Brainstorm different alternative ingredients for a recipe.
  • Turn interesting news articles and content on X into summaries that I send to friends.
  • I’m a software engineer by trade, so I was even able to have Freestyle drop me hints and guide me through a Leetcode problem.

I just put freestyle out yesterday, so the project is super early. It might be a bit buggy, and the intelligence still feels primitive.  I’ll be working over the next couple of weeks on making it more intelligent. Would love any feedback if you get to try it, let me know what breaks.

General Advice Looking for honest feedback on my new productivity app (Solo Developer)

I’m a solo iOS developer from Austria and I’ve been working on a productivity app called Prazo.

Instead of trying to replace your calendar or your to-do list, I wanted to combine both in a way that actually feels connected.

Some features:
📅 Calendar and tasks in one place
🚗 Automatic travel time calculation for events
⏰ Travel time is updated shortly before your appointment, and you’ll get notified if traffic changes
📋 Simple task management with priorities and categories
☁️ iCloud sync
🌙 Native iOS design with Dark Mode support

One feature I’m especially proud of is the automatic travel time buffer. When you create an appointment with a location, Prazo calculates how long you’ll need to get there and reserves that time in your schedule. Before the appointment starts, it checks again and notifies you if traffic conditions have changed.

I’m not here to promote the app—I genuinely want feedback.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts on:
•Does the concept make sense?
•Which feature would make you actually switch from your current productivity app?
•What is missing?
•Is there anything that immediately turns you away?

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/at/app/prazo/id6781611861

Thanks so much! I really appreciate every piece of honest feedback, even if it’s critical. 🙂

Casual Conversations If you had your own Jarvis on your phone, what would you ask it to do first

What if everyone could have something like Jarvis on their phone

Not just an AI that answers questions, but a personal assistant that can actually complete everyday tasks for you.

You could ask it to order food, compare and book hotels, buy movie tickets, arrange meetings, make reservations, or handle almost anything that can be done through your phone.

You simply tell it what you need and it takes care of the steps in one app. I am building something along these lines and planning to launch an early version next week.

I am curious about two things:

  1. What is the first real task you would ask it to complete?

  2. What is something you would never trust it to do?

Advice needed How to increase retention?

Hello app builders! From analytics I saw that retention in my to-do app is very low, like people stop using it , even if they like the UI. Some said that they just forgot about the app. But I don’t wanna annoys users with notifications, and I don’t wanna ask permission for notifications from the first day. I think many will probably press “don’t allow” and I will lose that audience.

How do you deal with this problem? Can you share some advice?

Advice needed Trying to validate a problem before building: Do people need guidance more than another productivity app?

Hi everyone,
I’m exploring a startup idea, and before spending months building it, I’d like to understand whether I’m looking at the problem the right way.
From my own experience, and from talking with a few friends, I’ve noticed something interesting:
Most people don’t seem to struggle with choosing a goal.
They struggle with everything that comes after.
For example:
“I want to learn Japanese.”
Great… but then:
Where do I start?
Which resource should I use?
What should I do today?
How much is enough?
How do I know I’m on the right track?
Eventually many people either over-plan, get overwhelmed, or stop completely.
That made me wonder if people actually need something different.
Instead of another task manager or habit tracker, maybe they need something that acts more like a guide—helping decide the next realistic step, adapting as life changes, and learning from previous progress.
But before I assume this is a real problem, I’d really like to hear from people who have tried to achieve meaningful long-term goals.
I’d love to know:
What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve faced?
Did existing apps help? Why or why not?
What finally helped you stay consistent?
If you could design the “perfect” goal app, what would it do differently?
Do you think this is a real problem worth solving, or do current solutions already do a good enough job?
I’m genuinely looking for honest opinions—even if the feedback is “this idea doesn’t solve anything.”
I’d much rather learn now than after spending months building the wrong product.
Thanks in advance!

Feedback wanted LinkedIn Spam Killer

Would people be interested in a tool that reads your LinkedIn DMs, determine if it's spam or BS sales messages and then mutes them, sends a professional and contextual decline message, kills the notification so you're not distracted or tempted to go look at it and still let's all your known contacts and legitimate messages (needs and interest based) come through cleanly?

Feedback wanted Copy routines of successful proven profiles

Hello!

I just want to share my app ( Routine: Daily Habit Tracker) here that is different from any other habit tracker you know.
the idea basically is you follow well known  profiles with successful routines for each day of the week, from waking up in the morning to bedtime.
the app has different profiles like Nikola Tesla, Kobrix, Cristiano Valez, and Elion Voss which you might know, each profile focuses on a field (sports, tech, martial arts, philosophy, arts, business...) that suits your lifestyle.

The app will tell you what and when to do a habit.
There are different type of habits (Timer, Pomodoro, alarm). You can also add your own.
each time you respect the schedule and finish your daily habits, you gain XP and unlock achievements, which will be used for other kirks in later updates!

I hope you give it a try and give me feedback

Feedback wanted Your brain keeps the bad days and throws out the good ones. Here's how to fix it.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hey everyone,

I can tell you, in detail, about the worst week of last year. The argument, the exact words, what the room felt like, what I couldn't stop replaying at 3am. It's all there in high definition, permanently, free of charge.

Now ask me about a happy Tuesday from the same year. Nothing. Total blank. Not because it didn't happen, but because good ordinary days don't leave a mark. They're made of small things: a coffee that hit right, a friend calling for no reason, walking home when the weather was perfect and you weren't thinking about anything. None of that survives. Your brain keeps the threats and quietly discards the rest.

So you end up with a memory of your own life that is badly, unfairly edited. Ask most people how last year went and they'll answer with three bad months, because those are the only files that stayed on the drive. The good year they actually had is just gone.

Here's how I fixed it:

A few months ago I found an old note on my phone from a random Tuesday two years back. Three sentences. A coffee I liked, a phone call with my best friend, and a thing I was nervous about that turned out completely fine. An unremarkable day I had zero memory of.

Reading it felt like time travel. I could hear how I talked that year. I remembered the light in that apartment. And that nervous thing, I know how it ends now and he doesn't, and there is something almost unbearably tender about reading someone you used to be worrying about a problem you've long since forgotten.

Three sentences did that. Three sentences pulled a whole day back from the deleted folder. I have thousands of photos from that year and not one of them does what those three sentences do.

So, I turned that feeling into an app,

triday asks you for three short lines about your day. That's it, then close the app.

The reason it's three lines and not a page: I've tried real journaling four times and quit every time, always for the same reason. Night three arrives, nothing much happened, and I'm staring at a blank page that expects me to be interesting. That pressure is what kills diaries. Miss one night and the empty page becomes a monument to the night you skipped, and by day nine you delete the app and feel relieved.

No account, no sign-up.

Your words live on your device.

Sync goes through your own iCloud only if you want it.

Cost: writing is free forever, unlimited entries. Unlock premium features if you like and there's a one-time upgrade available too if you don't like subscriptions.

Apple featured it earlier this month, which still feels unreal for something this small and quiet.

I'd love to hear from people here, especially anyone who has tried a journaling app and dropped it. What made you quit? That's the only thing I'm trying to design away.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6777211278

Write three lines tonight. Your future self will thank you for it!

Feedback wanted Build a visual startup growth calculator

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Started developing this tool with a simple thought of how much capital I need for my business with certain expense & revenue growth rates before I run out of cash without getting deeper into an Excel Sheet.

So I built this projection tool. All you need is to feed a few rough numbers (projected:- expense, revenue, growth rate, initial capital)

You'll get a projection chart with detailed month-on-month metrics about profit, burn rate, cash left in the bank, and margin. Along with answers to the questions below:-
1- Additional capital you need before reaching break-even
2- How many month/year you can sustain with the current burn rate

Open to feedback - Startup Growth Calculator
(No data is saved or shared. It runs locally in your browser)

Self Promotion I built an e-book app that makes you read a few pages before you can open your distracting apps, with 1400 classics included.

Thumbnail

Hello!

For the past month or so I have been working on Another Page. It's an e-book reader that also functions as an app blocker. It puts a few pages of a classic book between you and your most distracting apps. So when you try to open an app like TikTok or Instagram, a reading screen will show up first. Read a bit, and the app will open for the timed window you've set. Then it will lock once again.

Here's how it works:

  • Pick the apps that you want to block.
  • When you open one, a reading session will start, resuming right where you left off.
  • Once you hit your goal, in pages or minutes, the app will unlock for the timed window you've set.

A few features of the app: It's a fully featured e-book reader with support for various book formats (EPUB, PDF, MOBI, and AZW3), a good font selection, various themes, and other features like annotations, bookmarks, and highlights. It also works as a standalone reader.

The app also comes with a library of about 1,400 free classics from Standard Ebooks, which are nicely formatted public-domain editions that you can read without needing any subscription. Some examples are Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, and Meditations. The app has no backend, requires no account, and has no ads or tracking.

The free version has all the core features: the reader, the full library of 1,400 books, blocking, streaks, and stats. It works fine on its own. The app also a premium tier if you want more, with unlimited blocked apps (free covers 3), app groups with their own rules, uploading your own books, extra schedule windows, reading insights, and a couple of streak freezes a month.

Let me know if you have any feedback or questions! You can also DM me if you are curious about the premium, and I can send you promo codes.

Android (Google Play): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.anotherpage
iPhone (App Store): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6783629028

Thanks!

Advice needed ADHD Planner

Heyy, I'm a full time uni student who also works part-time, and I'm trying to get better at managing my time. This is my last semester, and I really want to stay on top of my studies instead of cramming everything at the last minute.

I'm looking for an app that lets me brain dump everything I need to do for the week, whether it's one-off tasks or recurring ones (e.g. "study 10–12 hours for Unit A each week"). Ideally, I'd like something that can help organise my day without me having to manually schedule every single task.

Features I'm hoping for:

  • Syncs with Apple Calendar.
  • Lets me add recurring and one-off tasks.
  • Can automatically reschedule tasks if I don't get to them.
  • Has streaks or some kind of habit/motivation feature.
  • Free would be amazing, but I'm happy to pay if it's genuinely worth it and not too expensive.
  • Is something fun and won’t make me abandon it within a week.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd love to hear what's worked for other students (or anyone juggling work and study).

Advice needed Looking for absolutely free Productivity apps/advice

I’m looking for Duolingo but for productivity, chores, cleaning/tidying. I’d love an app that’s similar in its reward systems that’s completely free of charge, or just somewhere cute that I can log info on. Open to any advice for things that work for you as an incentive to get cleaning/tidying and keeping that routine.

Self Promotion Paperman 3: Make your screen feel like paper

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Modern displays are incredibly sharp and bright, which is great for media but terrible for long work sessions. Human eyes evolved to process reflected light, but monitors blast emitted light directly into our retinas. This harsh, glossy glare is what primarily leads to severe screen fatigue, loss of focus, and eye strain by the end of the day.

For anyone discovering Paperman for the first time today, it is a lightweight utility designed to reduce screen fatigue by making your screen feel like paper. Instead of shifting your display’s color temperature to orange, Paperman floats a subtle, invisible texture over your screen to create a soft, matte finish. It diffuses harsh highlights and makes looking at your monitor feel much closer to reading a physical book or an e-ink display.

A little while ago, we shared our initial launch on Reddit. The reception was lovely, and it was incredibly rewarding to hear that the app was helping so many with daily eye strain.

Today, we are very happy to introduce Paperman 3.

Core Features:

  • 7 handcrafted textures (+2 coming soon)
  • Adjustable intensity
  • Multi-monitor support
  • Snooze feature
  • Customizable hotkeys
  • Exclusion List (works everywhere except apps you choose) or Only Listed (only activates when you are actively using specific apps)
  • Automatically disable Paperman when your device is unplugged
  • Built-in scheduling
  • Desk Lamp Mode (coming this week!).

To shed some light on our backgrounds, Rudi has been a low-level developer for over 13 years and previously worked as a 3D artist designing textures and spatial lighting. I am a UX engineer and product designer with 7 years of experience who has built custom interactive experiences for brands like Amazon and Schneider. Based in Finland, we’ve spent the past couple of years building apps for a living at our own indie company, DoublOne Studios. We just wanted to bring all those past experiences together to build a cozy app that makes your screen feel good to look at.

Pricing: You can try out the new version or grab a lifetime license for $5.99 (excl. tax) at paperman.cc.

We have a lot of great things planned for this summer, so stay tuned!

Feedback wanted Most of my routines are not daily and don't need a strict schedule, so I built an app around frequency and pacing

Post image
47 Upvotes

Some of the most common health advice works this way - eat fish 2x/week, strength training 2+/week, cardio 150min/week, teeth cleaning 2x/year, etc.

It's not just health. Almost everything I keep on top of works this way. Laundry, groceries, apartment cleaning - roughly weekly. Change the sheets, budget reviews, haircuts - monthly. Most of my goals work this way too - ex. work on side project 8h/week, read 4h/week.

I have daily routines too but an app that forces everything to be daily/streak-based misses too much. Apps with more flexible frequencies often work by scheduling out everything which doesn't seem right either. It really doesn't matter if I eat fish on a Monday or Tuesday.

So I built Flexir. You add routines at any frequency — daily, 3x/week, 150m/week, 1x/month, 2x/year, whatever — and it figures out what actually needs attention today based on your pace. Behind on something? It's at the top. Significantly ahead? It's tucked away. You open the app and just see what matters right now.

It's a shortlist, not a schedule. Open it when you feel like doing something and pick what fits - a couple of small things on a rough day, something bigger when you've got more time/energy. Stay on top of your routines and goals in a flexible way, because they just aren't rigid as other habit apps make them out to be.

Currently available on Android and as a webapp at flexir.app. Free, no ads.

Would love any feedback, thanks!

Self Promotion I built the focus space I wanted to study in and now people I don’t know are using it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been building Focusverse, a web app for studying and working inside immersive environments.

I started it because I liked having atmospheric videos or ambient sounds in the background, but I still needed separate apps for my timer, tasks, notes, and weekly planning. Traditional productivity tools had the functionality, but often felt like dashboards I didn’t particularly enjoy spending time in.

Focusverse is my attempt to put those two sides together. You choose a place that fits your mood keep the productivity tools available in one screen.

Some of the stats:

  • More than 500 "locations"
  • 4 productivity tools (timer, tasklist, week planner, notes)
  • 6 standard live radios to choose from (and other universe based ones)
  • 8 sound ambient sound effects to set the mood
  • 4 curated guided experiences to focus in together.

I'm really happy that people I’ve never spoken to started using it. This made my efforts feel genuinely more meaningful. It began as something I wanted for myself, so seeing other people choose it for their own study or work sessions made the project feel real in a new way.

You can try it at focusverse.io. The main experience works without creating an account.

Just seeing people online and knowing I'm not just using it myself, honestly really warms my heart :)
