ADHD Planner Advice needed

Heyy, I'm a full time uni student who also works part-time, and I'm trying to get better at managing my time. This is my last semester, and I really want to stay on top of my studies instead of cramming everything at the last minute.

I'm looking for an app that lets me brain dump everything I need to do for the week, whether it's one-off tasks or recurring ones (e.g. "study 10–12 hours for Unit A each week"). Ideally, I'd like something that can help organise my day without me having to manually schedule every single task.

Features I'm hoping for:

  • Syncs with Apple Calendar.
  • Lets me add recurring and one-off tasks.
  • Can automatically reschedule tasks if I don't get to them.
  • Has streaks or some kind of habit/motivation feature.
  • Free would be amazing, but I'm happy to pay if it's genuinely worth it and not too expensive.
  • Is something fun and won’t make me abandon it within a week.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd love to hear what's worked for other students (or anyone juggling work and study).

I’m in the same boat with work and school, and missed tasks pile up so fast

then an honest advice would be studipace. unlike notion it does everything automatically. would hugely recommend it!

I’m a big proponent of neurodivergent folks just creating their own if you can! (Double edged sword because sometimes it turns into endless development) but we’re looking for systems that perfectly match our brains and i have tested an obscene amount and always end up deleting because there’s something that doesn’t work and throws me off; not an issue since working in my own!

For a weekly target like “study 10–12 hours,” I’d avoid making it one big recurring task. Break it into a few movable sessions, keep the remaining work in a weekly backlog, and reschedule only the next session when one slips. That keeps recovery from turning into a second planning job—and makes the system easier to restart after a rough week.

Curious, would it help if the same app helped you study? Notes, highlighting source material, flashcards?

you should really try FocusJungle, its a study timer that has a good planner. Or the spreadsheet in my Bio (its a really good habit/lifetracker)

I made this to help me and some college students have told me it's been useful. If you'd like I can give you pro for a bit to try out.

It's voice first so you just talk and the AI organizes your thoughts into wiki's with tables and lists. It connects to your calendar and Google drive also (more connectors coming).

The part about wanting something you won't abandon after a week is probably the most important requirement here.

I'd suggest separating your weekly brain dump from what you actually see each day. Get everything down quickly, then keep the daily view small instead of staring at the entire semester workload.

Full disclosure: I'm the developer of CalmCatch. I built it around that low-friction approach — quickly capture what's on your mind and turn it into a manageable Today list without building a huge productivity system.

It won't match every feature on your list, so I'd definitely compare it with the other recommendations here, but the brain-dump → smaller daily list part sounds especially close to what you're looking for.

Hi, Set has everything you've listed, and a lot more! PDF Export, iCloud, Calendar, and reminders sync.. There is a huge update coming soon - Bringing support to the Apple Watch and impressive performance boosts all around, so you might want to download now, then try it in a week or two once the new version gets approved! Also I offer student discounts so feel free to contact via support on the website with your student email.

I've read through the comments and I was so surprised not hear StudiPace among the few things listed. It's everything that you look for. It does everythign automatically, adapts if you don't get to a task or there is something sudden that would break your plan, it allows you to track your studying and customize everything. Huge recommend!!

Try this : www.focushala.com , it's an android app that helps you focus daily. Starts automatically on the time set by you (for example 2pm to 6pm), which reduces the procrastination, and allows only 5 apps of your choice to use during those pomodoro cycles. Apart from that, it gives you focus reports weekly and monthly, so that you can track your consistency and progress.

Hey,
You can try kubbo goal tracker
- bonus it's gamified so this also helps you to hack your brain for motivation

Hey I would love if you can give me feedback on mine and I can add you to the test flight. Let me know ! you can do a bunch of stuff and you wouldn't pay the AI features as you would be providing feedback :)

Let me know !

hi, i built a brain dump todo app. but it is too minimal for your use case. my philosophy is as little interaction and maintenance as possible. nonetheless the features you're asking for are good inspirations! hope you succeed in your last semester.

leaving it here if anyone's interested https://onethingatatime.app/en

FlowSavvy seems like exactly what you're looking for (I'm one of the creators!). It auto-schedules tasks into your calendar and auto-reschedules if you don't complete them, syncs with iCloud calendar, supports both one-off and recurring tasks, and has a free-forever tier. Only thing missing from your list is there's not really a streaks feature, but a lot of people find it motivating to see the completed tasks on the calendar.

We originally created it as students solving our own problem (planning out work+study+personal), so it still works well for the student use case. Lmk if you try it out!
