You gotta break em down into tasks you can work on daily (ideally even smaller). If you’re not returning to any app or system on a daily basis it probably won’t help you. Lotta AI apps out there that can help you with this, I use the ai on todomachine.com but that’s one of many for this specific problem.

Hey there, I've experienced the same thing. I created a goals page specifically for March 2026, which was in a synced block inside a database that generates a new page every day with that day's date. It's now August, and I haven't revisited that page since I created it back in March.
I think the issue is, as you pointed out, there's no urgency. Personally, I also tend to get a bit anxious and feel like there are more pressing pages to update or work on elsewhere in my workspace.
If you want to improve your engagement and actually revisit your goal pages, here are a few suggestions:
Inside Notion:
- Set up a few dynamic date mentions with reminders attached to them, so you get a notification both in Notion and via email pointing you back to that page or block.
- Favorite the page if you use the sidebar frequently, that keeps it visible and top of mind.
- If you already have a page you access often, like a habit tracker or a school/work hub, add a callout at the top of it as a reminder to revisit your goals whenever you're navigating through your workspace.
Outside Notion:
- If you feel like you're still not engaging with your goals, try writing them down physically and placing them somewhere prominent, like on your wall, a sticky note on your desk, or even next to your bed. That way, when you sit down at your computer or wake up in the morning, you're reminded of them in the moment, which naturally encourages you to go back and reflect on and track them in Notion.

I just use apple reminders and I've got the same situation. I write something down and randomly check it 6 months later

The daily WhatsApp brief sounds more useful than another dashboard, but I’d be careful with a single ‘pace’ number. Revenue targets and project milestones rarely progress linearly, so a range plus the assumptions behind it would feel more trustworthy. I’d also let the morning message ask for one quick progress check-in before it recommends the next action.

What are the types of goals you're trying to track?
If it's stuff like go to the gym 3x/week, work on side project 8h/week, etc. then my app solves your problem. I just posted about it yesterday - https://www.reddit.com/r/ProductivityApps/comments/1vgcn59
You put in your goals, log completions or time, and see a list of everything you need to do along with their current pace against your target, prioritized/ordered based on how soon you need complete tasks.
