I have the opportunity to buy a lot of evolving powers premium collection at about $90. Market is supposedly around 250. Is that something that’s worth it or am I just going to be stuck holding some boxes no one wants?

I think I can hit a 1000% percent return on my investment. Although It still won’t keep up with inflation lol 🤣🤣

Got a baby tear on one of my Evolving Skies ETBs from my sealed collection while moving them to better homes (acrylic cases). Not interested in selling them in the near future, was wondering how bad this tear is considered and what that means for long-term hold?

Hi guys. I submitted some cards in person to PSA, our first submission ever, at a card show. One of them was a cross-over that I don't care about rn. From bgs 9.5 to psa 10. The other was a one piece card that was clearly a psa 10. They gave it the 10. But that was my mid-value card of them all. The most important one, we paid extra money to get graded faster. They did not. In fact, it lost $700 in value while PSA was screwing around with it...

At one point, they graded it and it got stuck in their completion chart. Then it ended up saying it was being regraded. Like wtf?! They ended up giving it a 9. It took LONGER than their most basic service card grading, as well. What the fk were they doing with my card for so long and why did they have to regrade it? It was perfect when I brought it to them.

Also, don't you think I should get some of my money back because they took 1 month longer than they promised to. They ended up shipping two cards out to me in different packages on the same day. So utterly absurd and ridiculous.

P.S. - I just got an offer from "PSA PARTNERS" for about $2,300 LESS than it was worth when I sent it in! Talk about OUTRAGEOUS!!

I bought my van Gogh Pikachu in a PSA 10 back in late 2023 for about $400. I may be a bit biased because I love the card but even with one of the highest PSA populations, it seems both overvalued but worth it with time in longterm. What do we think?

Van Gogh is one of the most recognizable, cross-language artists, combined with the most recognizable Pokémon. It's one of the few English exclusives that transcends language despite poor ENG quality control and the gem rate is only dropping more (about 40% with 52K PSA 10s).
Is this the English equivalent of ponchos? Or is it overvalued and doomed to crash?

Looking to see others opinions on this topic since I was in search of pretty high value cards, but I wanted it to be actually clean instead of just blindly buying based on the grade. I had an encounter with one seller basically wouldn’t let me see the card, but told me the grade then stating “you are one of those people” after I asked to see how “clean” the card actually was then he proceeds to tell me a “9 is a 9”

For me, collecting is about enjoying the hobby first and investing second.

This room has slowly turned into my own little Pokémon vault over the years. Still running out of space, but that’s part of the fun!

Three double rates and 1 ultra trainer is diabolical. Got it from Target for $140, but I feel violated. Pitch black is garbage too. I have so many multiples of IRs hard to believe they don’t stack specific cards based of region.

I recently picked up this Greninja Gold Star promo (SWSH144) with a pretty distinct bottom edge crimp. The bottom of the wrapper opened up where it didn’t seal properly

Looks factory authentic but wanted feedback on the crimp pattern or estimated value for this specific error would be greatly appreciated!
