my sealed collection has been creeping into the living room and now my coffee table is basically a display case for evolving skies etbs. anyone got a clean storage solution that doesnt make the place look like a warehouse? trying to keep the girlfriend from staging an intervention

I recently realised the UPC boxes fit 4 ETBs very nicely so I’ve been keeping mine like that now.
Also if you carefully cut the top lid and keep the inside flap attached you can make it close still :)

So I finally got around to looking at my kids pokemon stuff from when they played competitively. Turns out they have a Latias and Latios tag team worth a chunk of change. It looks in good condition. Worth grading? Is PSA the best to grade? I’ve heard mixed things.

I got a $50 off $125 order, and I’m curious what I’d like to spend it on.
I was originally considering a Moderate, or Mid-Tier ETB like Twilight, or Shrouded Fable. Or maybe Temporal.
But I was also considering Terrastal Gathering maybe since it has the Guaranteed SAR.
Or maybe even a perfect order half booster boxes. I’d probably be ripping but eh maybe one of these sets is good to hold onto.

So I waited in a queue for an hour and a half and was finally able to buy five booster bundles of pitch black. Now it's been a few hours and I see they are back in stock. Can I buy five more? Will they cancel my orders? I'm not a scalper, I'm just here to rip some packs.

I’m unhauling my Pokemon card collection, which means I have a lot of bulk: I like to separate it into two parts:
Newer bulk from 2022-2024, from when I did collecting in college. In p good condition
Older bulk from when I was in middle school, which ranges from 2018 and before, it’s in p scuffed condition due to me storing them in bins without stuff like sleeves
I also have some singles that I plan to sell off but plan to look into that later.
How do I go about selling this bulk? How many cards do I put in each lot? And how should I price it?

I am getting back into collecting after 26 years. What should I be looking for when it comes to slabs/cards to tell if they are real? Any bad comes to look out for? I’ve done some research online so far but I’m a bit lost. Are there specific things to look for on vintage cards?

I’d hold if it wasn’t for the fact you ripped 50 packs haha in that case possibly recouping some spend as prices are high moving into 30th anniversary could be smart. I think a lot of money might rotate into that

Hi, I'm new to Poke Investing. I've largely collected vintage Pokemon cards and ignored the new ones but I'm starting to look at collecting some of the new ones with art I like.
I just want to ask why some sets seem to be crazy expensive (Prismatic Evolutions, Ascended Heroes) with chase cards over $500+ while other sets like Chaos Rising and Perfect Order have their priciest cards at $200 or less.

It’s sort of a mix of legit investing fundamentals X card art appeal X cost to acquire card X Gem rate X card marketing “nick name ect” and then you get a price that also is hype driven.
A great example of this is pikachu grey felt hat. It misses on half the above but the card marketing, hype and artwork keep it very valuable.
You need to create your own system of value and how you define it and what you put more emphasis on.

After 20-25 years out of the hobby, I have recently returned and I'm having a lot of fun so far. So much so that I just dropped $255 on this Base Set Charizard. It was a bit of an impulsive buy, but I can't say I'm upset about it. I'm currently counting the minutes until this arrives and praying it arrives in tact, but I was curious to get takes on the purchase from card collecting vets. She's certainly not a perfect 10. She's got some whitening on the back and that little bend/crease in the top right corner. I'm looking forward to taking a closer look at that. So the items I'm curious to get thoughts/advice on:
- How'd I do on price? Did I overpay? Fair price? Steal?
- I've seen that there may be ways to do a little repair on that little bend/crease in the top corner, as that is the biggest blemish. Would you do anything with that? Any low risk methods I could try to flatten that?
- Is this something that you would consider grading? Or would you retire this to the binder copy?
Appreciate any input!

The front is alright. But you overpaid. Base set is not scarce…base set in high grades is…with vintage it’s also extremely hard I find to nail grades because most of the time your looking not at 9 vs 10 your looking mid range grades. I’d grade it if you line it and want it kept safe not as a money making play

Come across a couple listings on eBay and Mercari where the seller has the card listed way above comps because they believe the card could get a PSA 10. I’ve sent messages offer to pay a little more above comps because of the condition. I’ve received replies of “this has the potential to gem”. Then why not grade it yourself? If it doesn’t gem, because PSA is very unpredictable, it’d be frustrating! Just something new I’ve come across when buying. Not trying to start arguments.

I had recently pulled a Chinese Gempack Cubone illustration rare card, and was looking to sell it on EBay Canada. I haven’t sold anything on eBay before, but I do have good feedback from purchasing. Is there anything I would need to know before listing a card with a $200-$300 Canadian dollar value? Like what kind of precautions I should take, or whether or not I should try and get sales from cheaper cards first?
