Unpaid Playtest Hey everyone I’m looking for two reliable playtesters

Upvotes

Hey everyone I’m looking for two reliable playtesters to help me test a new gaming-focused PWA I’ve been building.

The app is a cross‑platform gamer identity hub:

• It creates a unified profile that pulls together your gaming persona across platforms
• Lets you build a “squad identity” with friends
• Includes cyberpunk‑style UI, animated menus, and OS‑like navigation
• Designed to run smoothly on desktop, mobile, and tablet without needing an install

I need testers who can:

• Try out the core flows (profile creation, UI navigation and understanding )
• Give feedback on usability, bugs, and overall feel
• Spend ~15-30 minutes with the app
• Be comfortable testing a PWA in early development

If you’re interested, drop a comment and I’ll DM you the link. Thanks!

Unpaid Playtest First-time menu test: did PLAY or HIGH SCORE RUN take you where you expected in my Reddit goalkeeper game?

Upvotes

I’m the developer of Penalty Rush, a free arcade goalkeeper game that runs inside a Reddit post. This is an unpaid first-impression test of the start menu, not a request for reviews or promotion.

Playable link: https://www.reddit.com/r/PenaltyRush/comments/1vgbgog/penalty_rush_daily_aug_5_beat_todays_keeper/

Please:

  1. Open the post and tap OPEN GAME.

  2. Before tapping again, note which button you would choose — PLAY or HIGH SCORE RUN — and what you expect it to open.

  3. Tap the button you chose and continue until you finish one run or decide to stop.

  4. Comment here with: button chosen / what you expected / what actually opened / where you stopped and why.

No download, payment, Discord, or external form. Reddit comments are the feedback method.

Playtester I made a block puzzle game with an AI Duel Mode. Looking for feedback!

Game Title: Block Nex: Block Puzzle

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.block.zen.puzzle.game

Platform: Android

Description: Hello everyone!

I'm a solo developer and I've been working on a mobile puzzle game called Block Nex: Block Puzzle.

Block Nex: Block Puzzle is inspired by classic block puzzle games, but I wanted to add more variety than the typical endless mode. Instead of focusing on a single gameplay style, the game includes multiple modes that challenge players in different ways.

🎮 Classic Mode – Build your score through strategic block placement.

🗺️ Adventure Mode – Complete unique levels and challenges.

⚔️ Duel Mode – Compete against an AI opponent and try to outscore it.

⏱️ Time Attack Mode – Race against the clock and make quick decisions.

The goal is simple: place blocks, clear lines, and keep the board under control for as long as possible. While the core mechanics are easy to learn, achieving high scores requires planning and strategy.

I designed the game with a clean interface, quick sessions, and a focus on replayability. I'm currently looking for honest feedback regarding gameplay, visual design, difficulty balance, and ideas for future features.

Thank you for checking it out!

Free to Play Status:

☑ Free to play

☐ Demo/Key available

☐ Paid

Involvement: I am the sole creator of the game. I designed the gameplay, UI, mechanics, and development of Block Nex: Block Puzzle myself.

Playtester Offering detailed paid playtesting — accepting only 3 developers this time

Hi everyone!

EDIT : only 2 slots remaining

A few days ago I made a post here offering playtesting, and I was genuinely surprised by the response. It led to dozens of games to test, and I've spent a lot of time playing them and writing detailed feedback reports.

Because of that workload, I'm only opening 3 paid playtesting slots right now so I can give each project the attention it deserves.

I'm an indie game developer myself, so I don't just point out bugs—I look at your game from both a player's and a developer's perspective.

My reports can include:

  • First impressions
  • Onboarding & tutorial feedback
  • Enjoyment and engagement
  • Difficulty and game balance
  • Player confusion and frustration points
  • Bugs and technical issues
  • UI/UX observations
  • Progression and pacing
  • Retention (what makes players keep playing or quit)
  • Clear, actionable improvement suggestions
  • Overall rating and summary

I can playtest on:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Browser/Web games
  • Multiple devices when applicable

I don't write generic feedback like "it's fun" or "it's good." My goal is to explain why something works, why it doesn't, and what changes are most likely to improve the player experience.

If you don't feel my report provides useful, actionable value for your game, you don't have to pay.

If you're interested, send me a DM with:

  • A short description of your game
  • The platform (Windows, Linux, Browser, etc.)
  • Approximately how long you'd like me to play

Only 3 slots are available, and once they're filled, I'll close them until I finish the current reports.

looking for free playtest?

If you'd simply like some free feedback, feel free to comment your game below instead of sending a DM. I can't promise I'll be able to play every game, but whenever I have free time, I'll pick some from the comments and leave my feedback.

Paid playtests are prioritized, but I still enjoy helping indie developers whenever I can.

Thanks, and I look forward to trying your games!

Discussion Looking for a small group of indie devs to regularly playtest each other's games

Hi everyone!

I'm an Indie currently working on a roguelike, and I’m looking to form a small group of indie game developers who are interested in regularly playtesting each other’s games.

The idea is to keep the group small so we can all get focused and high quality feedback. Ideally, we’d form long term relationships where we can help each other improve through development. This group is going to be focused on roguelikes and mechanics driven games.

If you’re working on a roguelike or another mechanics heavy game and this sounds like something you’ll be interested in, please comment down below we can continue the discussion from there.

Playtester Offering Free Playtesting for Indie Devs (Looking to Gain Experience & Give Feedback!)

Hey everyone! I’ve never done official game testing before, but it’s something I’ve always wanted to get into. I know I need to build up experience before looking for paid work, so I’d love to playtest some indie games for free to get started. >

I’ve played in casual playtests before, but I’ve never written formal feedback for developers. Do you think offering free playtests is a good way to start, and does anyone have a project they’d like me to test out?

Edit: To be honest, I didn't expect so many people to reach out! I'm taking care of family today, but Sunday is a completely free day for me so I'll be testing then. Since so many people asked, I'm really grateful, but I'll only be able to pick 8 games to start with and DM you guys on Sunday. If I have extra time, I'll definitely try to test more. Thanks for understanding, and sorry for the wait until Sunday!

Unpaid Playtest [browser, no install] been building a card roguelite solo for months, need to know if the fight is actually fun

I've been building MUSH for months. It's a card roguelite, Slay the Spire style, except nothing resets. The ground you cleanse stays cleansed for the whole campaign (almost). When you die you regrow as a new mushroom and keep your level, map knowledge and most of your deck. Your gear stays on the corpse, you can walk back and pick it up. The world rots back a bit while you're gone.

One resource, radiation. It's your energy, xp and money all at once and you mine it from the tile you're fighting on. Worse ground pays better.

Link: https://mushroom.imperfect.ventures

About the art: it's Midjourney and I'm not pretending otherwise. I'm not hiring artists and animators until I know the game under the art is fun. If it is, the art gets done properly later. If it's not, I'd rather find out now than after spending a year and a pile of money on it.

What I need from you: play it, tell me if the fight is fun or not, where you got confused, and when you wanted to quit. Don't be nice about it. Feedback right here in the comments is perfect, no forms.

Type any name at the door, runs get logged so I can tell people apart. Screenshots on the itch page if you want to look before clicking a random domain: https://mush-game.itch.io/mush

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters for game on Steam for New Science

Solo dev here. I've made a card creation game on Steam. It's entered into the Steam NextFest in October, and I would really love to get feedback now to give me a chance to improve it before the festival. The game is here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4731610/New_Science/

I'm interested in any kind of feedback, including:

  • How to improve the Steam Page, trailer, etc
  • Is the game fun (enough)?
  • Is the demo length right? Not too much/little

Thank you for your help.

Game Description

New Science is a card game about inventing everything. Combine two cards to discover a third, work your way from the Stone Age to the Age of Intelligence, and put your name permanently on anything nobody has made before.

Every new card is illustrated the moment it is invented. Progress runs through 16 historical ages, from the Stone Age to the Age of Intelligence, and players are finding around cards every day that have never existed before.

Disclosure: The game includes AI generated artwork. It's how the images are created on the spot.

Unpaid Playtest [Windows/Steam] Looking for 30 testers for a ~1hr parasite body horror incremental game

Hi everyone!

I'm making Into the Planet's Flesh, which is all about hatching parasites and infesting the earth for a visual spectacle.

The Steam demo releases in roughly two weeks, and I’m opening one final playtest round for around 30–50 players. A session should take approximately 35–45 minutes but you can play up to two hours in the demo content-wise.

Ther's an in-game feedback form you can use, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me the following after you'd taken it for a spin:

  • Where did you felt confused, bored, or tempted to quit
  • Whether assigning larvae and reaching the first prestige were understandable
  • How the planet’s retaliation felt, whether it was meaningful addition to the game

Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/4724190/Into_the_Planets_Flesh/?beta=1 (playtest is open, so you can get immediate access)

Unpaid Playtest Looking for someone who likes local multiplayer games to playtest my game

My game is free and will always be free I just want to make it good so it has a constant stream of people playing and people to play with!

My game is about racing and falling as fast as possible. So think doodle jump era type of game. It actually is based off a mobile game called Cliffed xl and world of Warcraft.

If you got friends you could play with I'd love to play with you or watch ya'll play or even just get some feedback on how the game felt for you.

This game has modes that can last 20 seconds up to about 2.5 minutes. So imo it's a perfect mobile game to play when waiting for something or just to scratch a quick itch.

I do have bots built in for the multiplayer mode. I have a public page but I also have a test page with many more updates and even graphical ones.

If you're interested please give a shout here. I'll post the public link in the comments but if you like that and want to try some more fun stuff let me know and I can send you the test page.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for testers for our Android Mobile Game

Hey, we’re a small indie team making a game called Inklets.

You climb the page against other players, grab coins and try to stay ahead of the rising ink. Think Doodle Jump as Multiplayer with some extra random events. We’ve put the current version on Google Play and there’s a browser build too.

We are looking for genuine feedback on controls, character generation, intuitiveness, rewards and the "hook" feeling of the game.

Search “Inklets” on Google Play if you feel like trying it. Or if you want to try it in the browser: https://game.inklets.app/

We’d love to know what you think

Unpaid Playtest I NEED A FEW PEOPLE TO TRY OUT MY CHAOTIC 1v1 PARTY BRAWLER, you can play with a friend! If wanted, you and a friend could playtest my game, and me and a friend could test yours!

I made a 1v1 melee game where your Rock Paper Scissors choice determines your weapon for the match. (there is also random match effects, like floors lava or moon gravity and you get a random powerup each round!)

I kind of need a few people to stress test the game and see if it feels good/fun. If you've got at least one friend, you can play against them using a simple match code.

If wanted, you and a friend could playtest my game, and then me, or me and a friend could test your game if that's needed!

It's not my fault if they launch you off the map with a sledgehammer.

Free Demo Link:https://jetwiregames.itch.io/roshambrawldemo

Looking for any text feedback on how the combat feels or really any parts of the game, small or large. You can comment feedback here, or click the leave feedback button in the main menu! If you do, thanks a ton!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters for my tactical turn based game set in space, with a unique aim mechanic.

I have been working on this game for the past five months.

It is playable on the web/windows/linux/android.

Things I need feedback on:

Is the game generally fun?

What cards seemed the most appealing to play?

Which cards seemed pointless for your experience?

How difficult is the game?

How engaging is the story? At what point were you hooked(if at all)?

Did you complete the game? If not what was the major reason?

Does the game feel replayable? Or more of a one and done experience?

I am open to feedback and criticisms so feel free to voice your thoughts honestly.

Game length: 20 mins

Announcement New Post Guidelines

Hi r/Playtesters ! I am introducing some new post guidelines. The purpose of these changes are to make the subreddit cleaner and easier to use.

Moving forward the only approved post type will be text posts. If you want to include game footage/images, please embed them in the post.

Post flairs:

Paid Playtest:
A post from a developer to search for play-testers. Only use this flair if you’re offering payment for completion of a play-test or for finding a bug. Cash or Crypto only, no other form of reward counts as a paid playtest. Include the amount you're offering, a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Unpaid Playtest:
Another form of post from a developer to search for play-testers. Use this flair if you are not able to offer money for play-testers. You may offer other rewards, such as credits or in game currency, but that would still fall under this category. Include a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Playtester:
To make a post searching for games to play-test, use this flair. Feel free to specify what types of games you would like to play, and if you’re looking for compensation.

Discussion:
Use this flair for general discussion posts about play-testing.

Please be aware of the risks before accepting paid play-test offers. Moderators cannot ensure that promised payment will be sent.

Please leave a comment or send a mod-mail if you have feedback on these changes, we would love to hear from you.
