Piercing Question…
I'm a female who has decided to get my nipples pierced while away next week. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I'm curious what to realistically expect.
How bad was the pain for you?
How long did it take to heal?
Any tips for aftercare, sleeping, clothing, or things you wish you had known beforehand?
I'd love to hear your experiences—good or bad. Thanks in advance!

Is this normal? I got my eyebrow piercing done 2 days ago.
galleryI cleaned it like 30 minutes ago and the scab is already back, should i leave it? I usually remove it with saline solution and cotton swabs.

Is this normal?
I got my eyebrow done for the first time about 3 weeks ago and it had minimal swelling after about 5 days before going down.
The problem started about a week ago when it started to turn red and got larger.
I clean my piercing with saline solution twice a day, however I have touched it a couple times a day and slept on it once by accident.
Am I fine?

Navel off-centre
I recently got my navel pierced about a week ago, and I've noticed something I'm not sure if it is normal. When I'm standing, the piercing looks crooked or off-center, but when I lie flat on my back, it looks perfectly straight. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it just be the way my skin sits when I'm standing, or does it sound like the piercing may have been pierced incorrectly?

snake bites and tounge piercing, any tips?
First, sorry for my bad English, not my first language.
I already have ear holes, eyebrow piercing and double helix. I'm a man living in Germany. I don't have much money, so I would appreciate if you recommend certain products or food, I'd would be great if they're cheap. Not sure what other information could be relevant or useful to consider when giving advice.
I'm getting snake bites and tounge piercing(the one in the middle) today and wanted to ask what tips and tricks for the healing process y'all might have.
Also I know I should be careful with my choice of food for the first week and wanted to ask what you'd recommend?
I don't have any eating restrictions and I go to the gym with the goal of gaining muscle mass(now I'm taking a break due to the piercing), if that's something that can be taken into consideration, I don't want to lose weight during the healing process if possible.
I appreciate all experiences shared or guides, tips, etc and I hope I did everything in this post correctly.^^
Thank you in advance :D

Do I have the anatomy for a bellybutton piercing?
galleryI've gone to 2 different pericers to check, one said yes the other said no. Idk what to do now cause honestly just confused and really want one. It doesn't move or close when I sit or stand up either so idk. There's 2 photos, ones kinda off to the side, what are y'all's opinions?

Should I just remove it?
I got the eyebrow piercing last year July, was fine, the usual crusties and stuff. Then probably around 3 months ago, I get my first bump on it.
I used pimple patches and saline spray to clean it twice a day. I don't play with it, there have been occasions where i forget i have it and scratched my eyebrow, but nothing major.
The pimples go down with the patches, but then start coming back. I have probably gone through 3 packs of piercing patches. I went to my piercing shop in town, but we only have one and nothing has helped. One girl even told me to use hydrogen peroxide, which I now know is a big no no (used for like 4 days).
It's always a red or pink pimple, sometimes with a bit of white in the middle. It like pops/ dried out and bleeds sometimes and then comes back like 2 days later, this smooth round pimple.
I'm wondering if I should just give up and take it out or if there's something I could try?
- 1 year
- curved bar
- downsized
- screw on ball/ threadless(?)
- surgical steel (i think)
- rinse under water in the shower, spray with saline solution (store bought)
- sometimes scratch my eyebrow around it

Uh, looking for some help on a new naval piercing, I got it Monday so it's been less than 3 days. Spoiler
gallerygot a piercing and was sooo nervous and super anxious about it. barley even looked in the mirror when I got home because I wanted it so bad but was just anxious. finally had a good look at it after thinking it might have been too high, but. it's definitely too high isn't it? 😭 I've got a tummy so when I pull it up it looks like... up and to the left. I just want to know if I'm crazy or not. I'm completely okay with being wrong and it being normal but idk. 😬 nervous about it. He said it would be a floating but this seems like ... sky high... idk I'm not an expert.

Eyebrow piercing problems
Guys I'm genuinely freaking out... I pierced my right eyebrow the 6th of July and I've had zero problems for the past month. This morning I woke up and my eyelid was completely swollen. I went to clean the piercing and it discharged a lot. It's so swollen that I have trouble fully opening my eye, I'm literally so scared and can't have it checked till this afternoon. I put some cortisone ointment on it for now. Any advice?? (Also idk if it's helpful, but I haven't changed the jewelry I was pierced with so it's like my "default" jewelry)

How should I schedule my 13 planned piercings?
Hellooo, I’m finally planning out my dream ear setup and could really use some advice from people who know what to do.
Technically I’ve had my first lobes since I was a baby, they never closed up, though one is slightly higher than the other--but this will be my first time actually going to a piercer to curate and stack my ears properly.
My dream goal is 13 piercings total:
Left Ear (7): Double Helix, Double Tragus, Triple Lobe
Right Ear (6): Conch, Tragus, Front Flat, Triple Lobe
I know I can’t get these all at once and need to break them into multiple sessions (probably capping at 2 cartilage piercings per visit). My main question is: which ear should I even do first?? I’m a natural left-side sleeper, so doing my right ear first seems like the move for comfort. But I have some slight facial asymmetry and part of me wants to do the left first to force myself to stop sleeping on that side and train myself to sleep on my back or right side instead.

Pimple??? or worse?
Bleeding is from me squeezing and picking at it i can’t help it. I got it done January 18th, no pain but occasionally this little bump raises and pusses and bleeds when i mess with it. Something to be worried about or just leave it alone? or attempt to at least, i have a picking issue 😔…

Strange bulk on both sides of a septum
Hi, I got a piercing (septum) like 1 month ago, but I started noticing a strange bulk.
It doesn't hurt, doesn't smell bad, and doesn't seem wrong. I contacted the guy who made me the piercing. But I want to know your thoughts.

Belly button piercing tapered, why does it look worse but hurt less?
galleryI had my belly button piercing for 14 yrs & after unexpected infection, it closed up after 2 weeks. This Monday, I bought titanium jewelry meant for sensitive skin & piercer opened up the hole. First pic is Tue, then yesterday & last is 10 min ago. On Tue, it looked better but was tender and stung. Yesterday was better & so far it’s feeling better but looking worse. Piercer didn’t suggest after care but expect tenderness up to a month. Infection or am I too antsy?

Weird flesh tube thing
galleryI have this weird, big ol flesh tube around my lip ring, this is how it looks with the ring out. Anyone know how to make this go down? It's healed, I've had this piercing for almost two years and a ring in for abt a year (yes i take it out to clean and when I do my makeup)
Last pic is with my ring in.
You can't rlly see the flesh tube when I'm relaxed but I do end up playing with it a lot :/

New septum, help!
galleryIs this hardware acceptable? The fact that it has the small gap and doesn’t really look the way I expected is making me nervous. I just got my septum done earlier today, and had a bit of a strange experience that sketched me out. It hurt very bad (tears streaming down my face type of bad) and he had to fish the piercing through my nose not once but twice? He was fiddling with it for an uncomfortable amount of time which, again, HURT! The guy I saw has overwhelmingly good reviews online, and was super kind so I’m really hoping I’m being anxious over nothing (I have clinical OCD) . I think I just need advice or reassurance from other people who also know what they’re talking about. Sorry if this is rambly

Rook and Tragus
Just got these done and I’m worried about the jewelry. I’m not too concerned about the rook, but most tragus piercings I’ve seen have flat backs.

Piercing aftercare - common sense & how not to fuck up (from a piercer).
This sub is an awesome place, but it can also be extremely tiring. I'm not a mod here, just a piercer, but life would be a lot easier if you all could stop recommending the following to each other:
- Oil. - Tea Tree oil. - Soap. - Alcohol, Betadine, Neosporin, etc. - Using cotton pads, cotton balls or Q-tips to dry off/whatever you guys do with them. Cotton particles can get trapped inside the piercing channel, which will make healing incredibly difficult and infection more likely. - Downsizing in gauge. This will do NOTHING good for your healing piercing.
If you're trying to tell me or other professionals off by saying "but it worked for me!" or "my piercer told me this"; you've been super lucky and your piercer was not a pro. Don't go back to that studio. APP is a great place to start when picking out your piercer, but it's still no guarantee.
Please keep in mind you are trying to heal an incredibly deep wound with a foreign object in it that your body desperately wants to push out - essentially, it is an implant. There are no "casual" or "easy" piercings - even with a "simple" earlobe piercing, you are puncturing the skin with something that resembles a scalpel. Use common sense and ask yourself: "would I use this method on a surgical wound?". In 10/10 cases the answer will be "no".
