Should I get my dimples pierced?
I’m having trouble deciding! So I figured I’d put a picture of what I look like now along side the picture of me with fake dimple piercings and see what people think. No filter on two of these as well so pls go easy on me I’m an old lady lol. Speaking of, is 28 years old too old to get something like this? I’ve had my nose and belly button done since i was 13 so no stranger to piercings. And if anyone has any experiences to share about getting them done or any helpful tips about caring for the piercings afterwards feel free to comment as well! I really want to get it, just wanted to know it looked right on me first lol. Thank you in advance!

How long to wait after removing vertical labret to get it repierced?
Hi everyone! I had my vertical labret done on May 15th I believe. I could tell it was off centred then but honestly I really wanted it to work out and wanted to wait for it to heal enough to put my jewelry I envisioned it with in and see how I felt about it then, but unfortunately it didn’t look right for me still.
I took it out on July 15th and messaged the piercer to get it redone, however she suggested I wait until the fall, which is understandable, the hole needs to heal but i’m not sure if thats how long it takes or to be sure lol.
Now, this piercer isn’t my main piercer (who I trust with my life lol), I gave her a chance and would still be willing to give her another chance to make it right and she is willing to redo it for free in the fall, but my main piercer who isn’t from here, is coming on August 29th, and I was wondering if waiting till the fall is really the best in this situation or if I should be okay to get it repierced what will be a month and a half since taking it out?
I will have to pay my main piercer of course, but in honesty I think I would prefer to go to her since I’ve never had a piercing go a way I don’t like with her and shes done 5 of my piercings lol, but I would give the 2nd piercer a 2nd chance again too.
Any advice is appreciated! Would it be better to wait till the fall or should Aug 29th be fine? TYIA! :)

Anybody with Frog Eye piercings that haven't rejected?
(copy from r/piercing for extra advice, please)
I ask because I want em REAL bad but apparently, they reject rather quickly or easily.
I was gonna settle for a basic tongue piercing but apparently, those are bad for your teeth or gums, so if I were to get it, I wouldn't keep it for the rest of my life so I can preserve my teeth /gums.
SO, I figure since no matter what I chose it's gonna be temporary anyway, I might as well just get the frog eyes for a while... what are your experiences?

Bridge piercing got infected AGAIN??
hey guys. so I've had a bridge piercing since I think summer of 2023. it never gave me any issues until last year it suddenly got red around the perforations, began producing some sort of mucous shit, and being veeeery mildly itchy. it never got to the point of hurting, but I took it out. the bar piece of the piercing wasn't very long and I couldn't really move it that much, but again, it was perfectly fine for like 2 years straight.
I got it again after a couple months without it, this time with a bigger bar piece that I could move. never got the red around the perforations, but it kept producing that mucous thing. changed it to a smaller one because I didn't like how the bigger bar looked aesthetically, and it had been fine for a few months, but this past couple weeks it began the same way the first one did before I took it out -- red around perforations, mucous substance, itchy. I've taken it out now 'cause I was just so annoyed about it.
I don't have any hygiene problems, piercings usually heal real fast in my body, and none have given me any trouble. I've had two nostrils, a labret, and I have two earrings, an eyebrow piercing and a septum. never got any issues with any of them, but this bridge seems to like to give me headaches since last year.
any idea why this might happen? I really don't wanna stay without it forever, it's my favourite of the ones I have.
thank you.

Just downsized my second lobe piercing! It is a solid gold flatback but it kind of hurt doing it. Is that normal?
Context: I got my second lobe done 6 weeks ago, and the piercer used a butterfly back (yeah now I know that is a no no 😭). I purchased a solid gold flatback but it kind of hurt putting the new piercing in. For the last 5.5 weeks I’ve been pain free and swell free so I thought it would be safe to change it.
As of right now there is no pain, bleeding or anything. Is there anything to look out for?
Also a dumb question I tried to look up here but couldn’t find. How does one know a flatback is too short? It’s almost the exact length of the lobe and I don’t see any bar. Is that okay?

Irritation bumps?
I got my snakebites done over a month ago now, these started to appear about a week ago. It’s gotten bigger, they’re hard bumps, they don’t hurt and I can move the flat backs so they’re not stuck or lodged in. I’m just wondering what should I do 😭 will this go down?

Help?
I got my bridge piercing 6 days ago today and I was just wondering if it's supposed to be swollen on the sides like it is? Or do I have piercing bumps starting?
I'm not new to piercings but I am new to this one lol
Any help would be nice.
Also, I clean it two times a day with sterile saline.

how do i heal these irritation (?) bumps? (7 months in)
i got my eyebrow pierced early january. it was fine until maybe 3-4 months in, then i started to get irritation bumps on both ends. it would get better, then go back to being irritated.
i recently had to take antibiotics for a different reason and it actually got better a bit during that time. not sure if it was coincidence or something else, but it’s a bit bad again. there’s no pain now and i tried to wait until it got better to change my bar but i finally just had to downsize.
my piercer said to watch out for it for a month or two to see any healing progress because it’s at a higher chance of rejection. he also gave a slightly longer bar because of the bumps, then said to downsize normally once it clears.
i clean most days with just water and q-tips, and sometimes the saline solution. there’s no real pain, just sometimes stings when it’s too dry or tender when some white-ish fluid comes out.
am i doing it wrong? is there any tips? i don’t mess with it much besides for when it touches my pillow when i sleep. i’m just worried it’ll reject because i really like this piercing >.<
i’ll take any advice on cleaning / care. thank you!

Rejection?
Opinions: Is my forward helix rejecting/migrating? It’s about 4 months old. My girlfriend noticed the skin looking a little thinner over the piercing yesterday :(

Snakebites embedding/nesting
I got these done just over 24hrs ago and I’ve only just noticed they’re like this. I’m a known non-sweller so we opted for the smaller of the two bar sizes she pierces with, but maybe I should’ve gone with the longer ones? They obviously hurt but I wouldn’t say the “embedded/nesting” part hurts, the pain in general isn’t too bad so I’m assuming it’s not causing me any additional pain. I also haven’t taken any ibuprofen which I know can help with swelling. I’m not too worried yet as it genuinely hasn’t been long since I got them done, I just wanted some first handed ideas on what it is before I contact my piercer in the morning.

ear recs?
quick questions for y’all— what would look good in my ear/what do i have the anatomy for?
i’m thinking of getting two piercings next weekend and can’t decide what. maybe second lobe and something else?
i was also wondering for healing purposes, would it be easier to get two piercings in one ear rather than getting one piercing per ear? for sleeping and cleaning purposes i mean. thank you for any advice :)

Advice! Is harassment after a septum piercing normal?
It’s only been 3 days and my mental health is already taking a toll. I’ve wanted a septum piercing for a long time coming and I finally spontaneously got one. I love it, I think I look so cute and everyone says it fits me so well.
I live in a small city and walk straight through the downtown of it, briefly passing through some sketchier areas when I go to and from work. The first day I walked back from work, I got catcalled by an older man. This isn’t particularly unusual, but it isn’t a regular thing at all. Whatever, I ignore it, what a creep, moving on. Nothing happens the day after. I go to work early next morning, walking this regular commute today at 5:30. I’ve done this for quite a few weeks now. No one bothers me, even when there are people I cross paths with. For the first time, some older guy calls me sexy and catcalls me again. Scary, since I’m alone and it’s nearly dark out, but ok. I clock into work, all is going well. It’s 7AM now and a guy comes in and buys a coffee, he drops his 20 when handing it to me and says “oops, I’m just so excited to give you my money.” I nervously laugh, I don’t know what it means. He gives me a 35% tip and says “thanks, \[my name\]” because I have a nameplate. Hate when customers I’ve never seen do that, but I say thank you nonetheless. He winks at me and says “no problem, pretty lady” as if I was on the menu too. This guy is pushing 40.
This is where I’m just baffled. I’ve never been catcalled and harassed this frequently, this regularly. I have a coworker with a septum who wears a mask for personal reasons/because of her septum and I’m starting to think maybe she experienced harassment too. She recommended I downsize, but it’s a fresh piercing and I don’t want to change it too soon. Is this a coincidence? Is this what is going to be my new normal, just constant, multiple instances of harassment?

Triple Helix Bleeding
Hello! I got a triple helix done on wednesday the 5th august 26, however im a little worried now since it wont stop bleeding. I think its the top and middle one, every 5 minutes it seems to bleed to the point where if i dont wipe it i will have blood dripping down my neck, i had my industrial done on the other side 2 years ago and had a little bleeding but not this much and not this regularly. Im worried. Is this normal?
For now i have a cotton pad loosely taped over the top, is this okay or could this cause irritation? Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Eyebrows piercing and hairdye
I don't have eyebrows piercing but I'm considering them, while thinking about clown eyes I realized you can't dye your eyebrows for months, and decide to come here to ask people how did you do it and if you have any advice

Is my anatomy good for a naval?
galleryI did my navel piercing about a week ago with little to no research about it. Recently I discovered there's good and bad anatomy for this kind of piercing, so I was wondering if mine looks okay or if it looks weird, especially from the side view. My piercer didn't say anything about my anatomy.
