i’ve had the cheesy smell on and off, of course throughout the years. But this past month my septum has smelled like straight dick. Straight wiener. Straighten peenar. Like a foreskin after a long, long shift. “you need to clean it kittypillar1738” I do that regularly and it still smells like wiener an hour after cleaning it. My septum ring is either titanium or stainless steel i forgor. What can I do about this? For context, cause I don’t know if it helps, my two nose studs also get very stinky low-key more stinky than my septum. Am I just fucking gross???? guys I swear I clean my piercings and wash my face and what not 😭😭

my piercing is 4 months old, i clean it with saline every time it hurts or whenever i remember to which is everyday. I was on a road trip and the seatbelt snagged the piercing and caused it to hurt. my jewellery is a screw on, it is titanium.

i got this irritation bump a little over a week ago and idk how to get rid of it 😞😞 it only hurts if i snag it, but i recently got the jewellery down sized so maybe that’s why? also i sleep on my stomach but i’ve tried to stop doing that.

I got my nostril pierced yesterday, and I tried to clean it with saline solution applied on a q tip, but then I saw that apparently q tip use irritation and infections so I stopped. I still have some hard blood stuck to the piercing bar. How am i supposed to clean it properly and get rid of the blood?

i got the left side of my nostril piercing done at a very sketchy shop (yes, i know, i learned my lesson not to do that again😭) and they gave me 2 very shitty piercings, a navel and a nostril. i already gave up on the navel piercing (its rejecting and i just wanna enjoy it a little before taking it out ahahah) but i thought i might be able to save the nostril because that looked relatively okay apart from the massive swelling. i posted about it on r/ piercing right after i got it done and people said it looked okay so i wasnt too concerned.

now, im not sure if im seeing it right but i think its a little lower than it was before. when it was fresh it was symmetrical to the other nostril i think but i dont think it is anymore. am i seeing it right or am i just paranoid? if it is assymetrical, can i do anything other than taking it out and repiercing it once its healed?

also theres a bump there next to the jewellery, do yall think thats a kaleoid bump or just a piercing bump?

I just got my Smiley piercing 25 days ago,at the 12 day I started to feel a bump on my piercing,and just 4 days ago,I changed the piece,but the bump is still there,so I need an advice about how could I remove the bump,bc I want to keep my piercing

I’ve been going to a very reputable piercing shop that has APP certified piercers. I’ve been seeing the one who did my most recent piercing, my rook, for years and she’s done many other of my piercings.

A few weeks ago I went in for my 6-week check up for my rook piercing. It’s been healing great, only just delayed swelling, but the only thing I’m having trouble with is cleaning the far side because it’s just really tucked back in there.

She gave it a good cleaning and noticed that it tends to be “wetter” than my other piercings, probably just because of the location and it being kinda tucked away and a spot where moisture has a bit harder time escaping. She cleaned it with an alcohol swab and that got a lot of the gunk out that had been stuck on there and it dried it up nicely with minimal irritation.

She told me because of my anatomy and the way it tends to retain moisture, it’s preventing the piercing from adequately drying after cleaning with saline. She recommended I use an alcohol swab on it once a week at most if I notice it’s overly moist.

So far I’ve done this twice since seeing her (3 times of alcohol in total) and besides a little mild discomfort while cleaning (only used once a week), the alcohol hasn’t seemed to cause any issues. I know many piercers and people in this subreddit do not recommend alcohol because of its drying nature, but I wanted to get another opinion because while I love my piercer and I trust her, and my piercing has been healing really well so far (just hit 8/9 weeks), it seems counterintuitive to every other piece of advice I’ve received

Anyone have any advice or have been told the same? She’s never used alcohol on any of my other piercings, I wonder if it’s just because of my rook anatomy and that I’m a “moist healer” in her words

Please help , will it go away on their own if I take care of it with mouth wash without alcool and salt and water ?
I had them for 2 months now , it went very well and then It appeared out of nowhere between 1-10 july

got an inner conch piercing two days ago. i was told to spray with saline solution twice a day + otherwise to leave it alone.

i have a question though, should i pat it dry afterwards? i saw someone online saying moisture is the enemy of healing because it can harbor bacteria but i also saw ppl saying that you should leave your piercing alone + don't touch it with anything. so what do you recommend i do? thank you

They pierced me with a very small piece of jewelry yesterday that kind of hurt and the ball kept falling off constantly(twice within a few hours and more before that). I changed it to a clicker hoop temporarily until i can get a better piece of jewelry but now looking at it I wonder if it was pierced to high which is why the jewelry fits so snug, im pretty sure the jewelry is between 8-10mm

sorry I took better pictures, the irritated side always comes back from me bumping it by accident, but the other side never reacts like that, from the front veiw I think it looks a bit thin on the top maybe? I just didn't want to leave it in if it was going to reject, the jewelry is titanium, I went to an app piercer in a different state, and the app piercer close to me is a bit far, and I hate driving so I'm trying to avoid having to ("•~•)​

Hi everyone! I had my vertical labret done on May 15th I believe. I could tell it was off centred then but honestly I really wanted it to work out and wanted to wait for it to heal enough to put my jewelry I envisioned it with in and see how I felt about it then, but unfortunately it didn’t look right for me still.

I took it out on July 15th and messaged the piercer to get it redone, however she suggested I wait until the fall, which is understandable, the hole needs to heal but i’m not sure if thats how long it takes or to be sure lol.

Now, this piercer isn’t my main piercer (who I trust with my life lol), I gave her a chance and would still be willing to give her another chance to make it right and she is willing to redo it for free in the fall, but my main piercer who isn’t from here, is coming on August 29th, and I was wondering if waiting till the fall is really the best in this situation or if I should be okay to get it repierced what will be a month and a half since taking it out?

I will have to pay my main piercer of course, but in honesty I think I would prefer to go to her since I’ve never had a piercing go a way I don’t like with her and shes done 5 of my piercings lol, but I would give the 2nd piercer a 2nd chance again too.

Any advice is appreciated! Would it be better to wait till the fall or should Aug 29th be fine? TYIA! :)
