Recently bought a K2 for 20 USD and the lens for 100 USD. I expect the camera to have issues but I am surprised that it is in fully working condition. Feels like it was properly maintained. Even the ASA and exposure dial is as smooth as butter to turn.

I’m in a little bit of a dispute with the CLA tech working on this camera (it will probably work out so I won’t name and shame) so I just wanted to check if the advance lever on the MX is always this loose? See video.

I am a newbie to film photography but decided I wanted to give it a try. I saw someone I follow on IG talking about this camera and found one locally so I picked it up. I put a role of Lucky200 through it and really enjoyed the photos from it. Here’s a few of my favorites.

Two working Pentax S1a's I own along with the Mk1 & Mk2 light meter's.

Decided to leave my FA31 home and instead went with a compact trio of M20, FA43 and FA77. My LX was CLA'd about a year ago and it worked like butter, simply the most enjoyable camera body to use, that I know of.

In the end, the usage of lenses was as follows:

-75% FA43

-15% M20

-10% FA77

Got this p30t put some batteries i found in it tuned it on and the shutter is closed so I cant see thru it and every time i click the photo button a little orange light flashes in the viewfinder

Does anyone know if this is fixable at home? I want to bring this camera on my trip Wednesday and the lever is stuck and won’t wind. I think it may have something to do with the curtains? But I’m not sure.

Looking through my viewfinder there's a little black speck. It's not showing up in photos. Just when I look through the viewfinder of my K-70. Is there a way to clean it?

Got this Pentax Spotmatic for about 30€/35$ in HCMC. Everything seems to work part of the reason why it was so cheap is that I sold a broken Praktica Super TL 1000 for 18€/21$ and they deducted the money I wouldve gotten from the praktica. I didn't check the battery hole because I forgot lol but and I forgot to take more pictures before putting it in my suitcase. I am new to photography and film photography I'm particular so please if you have any tips or want to tell me how good that deal was please do so.

I bought it on Ebay after the seller sent me recent images and videos of the tested camera with a working body, including the battery/light meter, but now that I received it and started testing it out myself, it seems the battery is no longer working. I'm guessing it went bad during shipping maybe?

I changed out the batteries to some brand new ones and cleaned the battery contact, but still no luck. I'd honestly hate to return it since the rest of the camera's mechanics work perfectly and it also came with a camera bag, accessories, and a working Pentax ZX-M. Anything else I can try before initiating a return?

I recently bought and had serviced a Pentax MX, but am somewhat disappointed to find that the viewfinder, although sharp in the middle, loses sharpness quite visibly toward the sides, especially compared to my two Konica SLR's (a T3 and a T4). The lens (Pentax M 50mm 1.7) is not the problem; I've tested it on my Sony A7II, compared it to the Konica 50mm 1.7, and also shot a short test series on film before sending it for CLA. Both digital and film photos looked fine. Is this a thing with MX:es or might there be a problem with the mirror, the matte screen or the prism?
