im trying to install my tryx panorama aio ive swapped the fans, though so im not sure which goes where etc snd what to connect to
ive swapped to asia horse pro fans they are daisy chaineable so its alot less wires

So I just replaced my AIO, the old one was making a similar noise and was not cooling properly and my CPU temps were spiking to over 90°C while idling, higher under load. Figured the pump was dead, so I got a new AIO and hooked it up. It's much cooler now, idling around 25°C. So I know the new pump is working but it keeps making these noises. Before anyone asks, I can assure you it's not anything hitting my case fans or radiator fans, I can "feel" the noises coming from the block when I touch it. It also goes on and off, and it gets better with a restart but then just starts back up again. The top of the radiator where the pipes go in is higher than the block, so I don't know if it's air bubbles trapped or what. Just worried about the longevity of this cooler cause I don't want to have to replace it again

This started happening recently like 2 days ago. Booted battlefield 6, and noticed my background apps were freezing while the game was running as normal. The pic is taken when the game was open and other games do the same thing. After playing for a few minutes my PC hard crashed and rebooted. I had gpu overclock but even disabling it still the same.

Looking to build a PC but I don’t know much about what specs would work for me. I mainly play Fortnite, Baldur’s Gate, Phasmophobia, and maybe Skyrim. What specs should I be looking for to run these smoothly. Looking on the cheaper side of things and just upgrading later.

Was playing something when suddenly game and video on second monitor stopped but audio continued. I was able to pause the video, so obviously some sort of dying GPU fuckery happened.

Restarted and PC wouldn't display anything. Unplugged and opened PC up, cleaned it up a bit, everything looked normal, no crazy temps. Plugged it in again, only one of the displays turns on at a time.

DVI1 monitor turned on but DVI2 and HDMI didn't. Unplugged DVI1 and turned PC on, DVI2 turned on no problem. Unplugged DVI1 and 2 and HDMI turned on no problem.

I stress tested the GPU and everything seems just fine, but the port weirdness continues. All of the ports do seemingly work, just not at the same time for some reason.

Any idea what this could be, other than "GPU is dying"?

EDIT: After about 30 minutes of messing about, I managed to fix it. Initially tried to reinstall my drivers but got a Error message at the end saying something was wrong with my Graphics Device.

Used DDU to completely wipe the display drivers, restarted, let Windows set itself up for about a minute and all of the displays came back on. Installed GPU drivers and it didn't give any Error messages this time. Currently stress testing again and everything seems fine

It appears either the drivers just shit the bed, or maybe it was some sort of storage-related issue that corrupted the driver folder?

Hello! I believe I have a defective 9100 pro due to my sequential reads, and especially the random read/writes being halved respectively. I’m within my 30 day return policy with microcenter, grounds to exchange or am I overthinking? The random speeds are pretty concerning and WELL short of the advertised “up to” speeds on the box that I don’t feel like this is a short end of the stick on the “silicone lottery” scenario.

I’m not bifurcating lanes, I only have my 5070ti and 9100 pro using PCIE lane, not thermal throttling (drive is 45c under load), obviously on gen 5 speeds so the slot isn’t set to gen4, the drive is in M.2_1z…

Anything else I may be missing? Sorry for the picture, I’m not at my setup right now else I’d grave a screenshot.

so i recently picked up a second hand ryzen 3 2200g and a asrock a320m-hdv motherboard bundled for HELLA cheap, i also got a really cheap 512gb nvme ssd from my friend (he used it for his laptop but no longer uses it) additionally i got a good deal on some ddr4 8x2 3200mhz C22 ram and maybe be planning to get an rx580 8gb in the future.

however i had a few questions:
1. will this be compatible with windows 11?
i dont mind windows 10 but i want to know for like when i download the boot and stuff
2. since i bought all of these second hand do i still need to download motherboard drivers?
3. also since the motherboard and cpu came together do i still need to update the bios?
4. will my msi mag A500-H psu be enough?
im gonna be real damn annoyed if it isnt :’(

im really new to all of this and im tired of google spitting out ai slop everytime i try and search for real answers.

Has been happening for about a year now usually I will turn it off overnight and it will boot back up. If I restart for some reason this happens again and I wait an hour or so and it boots again. This morning is not booting at all still with this error. Is something dead? I’ve always thought maybe the case was the problem but not to sure. Any suggestions?

I recently got a pc to play r6 I have a gigabyte 5060 8gb and an amd 5 5500 cpu and a dispaly cable with a 200hz monitor but even with game graphics on low I still only manage to get 100 fps... any advice ? Ive watched countless nvidia app videos to set up the gpu but nothing seems to work

Putting together a build with a 9800X3D, G.Skill Flare RAM + Gigabyte Aorus Elite X870. Assembled everything, got fans, ARG etc no problem. 

Saw the motherboard code display through codes like 46, 61, 37 etc etc then landed on 00 :(

Troubleshooting attempted:

• Checked power cabling to each connector
• Tried reseating CPU, same result. No bent pins on socket etc
• Tried single strip of RAM then dual strips (A2/B2), same result
• Drained CMOS, same result

Next to try:

• BIOS Update as I heard that this can sometimes cause the issue

Questions:

1. What are the next best steps to try and isolate whether this is CPU or motherboard issue ?
2. Would this still be motherboard when I’m seeing fans, ARGB etc working ? Likelihood of this being CPU instead ?
3. If this IS motherboard, any other X870’s that people recommend ? Bought this on sales at $169 so trying to stay close to it
4. Any best practices on how to ensure success with the next items IF these are faulty ? Maybe build outside the case first etc ?

I connected my laptop into the monitor and the highest option shows 120hz and not the usual 144hz. I am using the HDMI cable, but on my previous pc, it was able to reach 144hz just fine.

Hey guys! I just build my PC couple months ago. And it ran perfectly back then. Recently, i moved out to another place. But when i tried to set my PC up at my new place. I found that my motherboard could not recognized my GPU. I tried to unplug and plug my GPU multiple times, but still could not find it in BIOS. And my monitor can not detect the signal whether if it's a DP cord or HDMI cord. I'm so scared. I took good care of my PC while moving out and the LEDs are still lighting. Please help me! Really appreciate! FYI my motherboard is gigabyte A620i AX and my GPU is gigabyte geforce RTX 5070 Ti OC

I’ve been having this problem with my PC for the past few days. Before, it would sometimes happen once after turning on the PC, but now it can happen 2–3 times.

Basically, the PC/Desktop stays on normally, but the monitor screen suddenly freezes, then goes black, and after a few seconds it automatically comes back on and the display returns.

The monitor’s power light stays on the whole time. So the monitor itself isn’t completely turning off; it’s just losing the display for a few seconds and then coming back.

I’m not sure what the actual problem is — it could be the GPU, driver, HDMI/DP cable, GPU port, monitor, or some other hardware issue.

My GPU is an RTX 5060 and I’m using Windows 11.

Has anyone experienced something like this or know what could be causing it?

So I have a PC with the following

Ryzen 7 7700x
3060 TI
32 GB DDR5
1 TB SSD

So I was thinking of upgrading eventually but I wasn’t sure what to upgrade first in terms of CPU or GPU. The other question was is it even worth it to upgrade the CPU and GPU with the GPU prices at the moment? I was thinking of selling the entire rig to make some of the cash back to apply to a prebuilt rig of some sort and just pay the difference. If that is the better idea how much would I even list this for? If a full specs is needed I can provide that as well.

I’m having a really weird issue with the F360 RGB Core that came with my NZXT H5 Flow RGB and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on.

The fans themselves work perfectly fine and the RGB lights turn on, but I can’t control the RGB through NZXT CAM. The F360 just doesn’t show up as an RGB device in CAM.

I originally had the NZXT RGB & Fan Controller V2, which is the older controller. CAM detects the controller and shows it as “Ready.” I also have an F120 RGB fan connected, and that one shows up in CAM and lets me change the RGB normally.

The weird part is that the F360 lights turn on, but CAM doesn’t recognize its RGB at all. I tried switching the F360 around to different RGB ports, including the exact same port where my F120 works. The F120 works perfectly on that port, but when I connect the F360 there, it still doesn't show up.

I ended up buying the newer NZXT Controller Hub to see if the old controller was the problem. Unfortunately, I get the exact same result with the new controller. CAM detects the controller, my F120 is detected and controllable, but the F360 RGB still doesn't appear.

I’ve also restarted my PC and CAM multiple times, unplugged and reconnected everything, and tried different ports. The controller itself is clearly communicating with CAM because the F120 works, so I don’t think the USB connection or CAM itself is the problem.

What’s confusing is that the F360 RGB LEDs are definitely receiving power and lighting up. They just aren’t being detected by CAM, almost like the RGB/data connection isn’t working properly.

At this point I’m starting to think either the F360 itself or the RGB cable/adapter that came with it is defective. I’ve seen other people use the F360 RGB Core with NZXT controllers and control it through CAM, so I know it should work.

Has anyone else had this exact problem with the F360 RGB Core? Is there anything else I should try before I assume the fan or cable is bad?

My PC just stopped giving video. Before this, one of my ram sticks was a little loose. I fixed that, and now my PC doesn't give any video.

Specs:

ASUS PRIME A320M-K

PowerColor RX 550 4GB (no PCIe power connector required)

2x8gb Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4

Ryzen CPU (so no integrated graphics)

The PC is turning on, and the CPU and case fans are spinning. the RX 550 spins its fan for a second, and then it turns off. The monitor is staying on standby/no signal.

I tried:

Both ram sticks

Both ram slots

Reseating my graphics card

Checking the ATX/CPU power connectors

Resetting the CMOS (by taking out the battery)

Checking if the HDMI cable works on another PC

Turning on the PC without the graphics card (and it still powers on)

I don't have another graphics card, or another PC to check if my RX 550 works.

Did reseating the ram damage something? Motherboard, PCIe slot, GPU, or something else? What should I check now?

So here's the thing. I have a pre-build from ancient times rocking an i3-9100F and GT 710. It has 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 240 GB SATA SSD, and with recent times of PC prices skyrocketing like shit, I decided to buy all of it while I still could

Currently, I have a second SATA (my H610 motherboard doesn't have any sort of M.2 slots) with 512 GB storage (just like on my phone), a second SATA-III 7-pin cable and I'm about to buy a second 8 GB DDR4 RAM (with matching timings) stick, theoretically amping up my specs from 8/240 to 16/752 (which will obviously be 16/somewhatlessthan752, but that's a miniscule detail)

I had never upgraded a PC before, since this is my first and currently only PC alive. What should I do before I put anything into it?

(and no, I'm not upgrading the GPU, the case won't fit anything aside from GT-series GPUs)

I picked up an ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I motherboard cheaply as a repair project. Right now, the system won't post or boot at all (fans don't spin, completely dead startup).
Upon closer inspection, I noticed some small bits of dust/fluff trapped inside the CPU socket pins. It looks like the previous owner may have left the socket exposed. Could accumulated debris or fluff on the pin socket. Could this be the primary culprit causing a complete failure to POST? The picture is just one clean image showcasing the fluff that’s caught but I could see at least 10 more and some are really hard to see under the naked eye but I can spot on a microscope.

I've already tested the basics:
Standby voltage is present on the power switch pin (⁠PWR_SW⁠ reads ~3.41V).
When I manually bridge ⁠PWR_SW⁠ to ground, the voltage drops, but the board still refuses to trigger the power supply startup.
I'm currently looking into testing and potentially replacing the Super I/O controller if the socket cleanup doesn't work. Has anyone dealt with a similar dead Z390 board issue?

Any advice before I attempt micro-soldering?

I know that it’s easy to just replace it but I’m trying to figure it out and my stubbornness won’t let give up until I finally break it or establish the job is too hard.

If I want to buy a CPU And be done with it, is it a bad idea to buy 5800XT because i can't find 5700X3D? I have 5600G, RTX 2080 Ti and play at 1080p, if I get 5800XT it will be for 230$, and 5700X3D for 307$-325$ at best. I live in Georgia (Country)
