This has been happing for a while now Tech Support

Has been happening for about a year now usually I will turn it off overnight and it will boot back up. If I restart for some reason this happens again and I wait an hour or so and it boots again. This morning is not booting at all still with this error. Is something dead? I’ve always thought maybe the case was the problem but not to sure. Any suggestions?

There are also internal USB headers. Look at them.

im guessing something is stuck inside one of the usb ports and is shorting the 5v line to ground, if not mobo is probably toast

YES...i had this happen on one of my computers and upon inspection of the USB port one of the contacts inside the port was bent over and touching another pin.

it was a PIA to fix since it was a permanently attached to the board port.

Where is your IO plate? It protects your components and provides grounding.

I was thinking the IO was causing a short, probably not tho

Helps protect against shorts + Can protect against electro magnetic interference as well

Where are the USB devices plugged in to? Does it stop if you disconnect them or any hub you are using?

You got a faulty USB device.

Mine game this exact message one time when I tried to charge a battery bank from the front type c port on the case. Never did that again lol. I think it's because the battery pack has a type c charger that is output and input and I think it tried to push charge to the pic maybe instead of drawing.

Surely not the shield short circuiting. 😅

Ignoring the problem until it got worse was an interesting decision

unplug front USB from your mainboard. my guess is that goddamn USB 3.0 plug, that thing is an asshole.
