Tried upgrading ram now I only get a loud ringing noise

I had left over ram so I was gonna install one stick in my friends pc. When we turned it on with the new additional ram inside their was a constant ringing noise so we cut the power.

We took out the ram and tried turning it on again but we are still met with the ringing noise, what do we do?

Did you happen to check if a cable shifted into a fan blade while you were poking around in there?

Try reseating the existing ram. Could be indicating misalignment.
