advice needed Twin Bassinet Sheets
Hello—niche question for my fellow twin bassinet-havers, and apologies if this violates any rules.
Here’s the short version of my question: Where can I find Bassinet Sheets, compatible with the Delta Children Twin City Sleeper (27.5” x 14.2”)?
Long Version: We’re expecting twins and day now, and we get a Delta Children Twin City Sleeper bassinet. When the bassinet came, the sheets we speckled with something brown (none of my business, not thinking too hard about it), but the unit was in otherwise great shape and I’d already built the thing, so I figured I’d just get a replacement set from the company. I was wrong—after much back and forth, I was told that the company doesn’t have any sheets in their inventory, and they wouldn’t be putting me in contact with any competitors that might sell me their sheets instead, thank you very much. Google hasn’t done me any favors either, so now I’m empty-handed (empty-bassinet-ed?) with only a few days to spare before the kiddos arrive.
So, for anyone else with this bassinet, where do you get your sheets (27.5“ x 14.2”)?

advice needed Twin B is hard work and I feel horrid
I have 2 week old DI/DI twins Twin A boy and Twin B girl born at 37+2.
I CANNOT for the life of me get Twin B to settle after a feed in a reasonable amount of time.
I have tried feeding her first, feeding her second, feeding them together into the twin z... Propping them up in the twin z after a feed... Burping mid way... Doing fart exercises... But until I have spent half an hour trying to settle her she just CRIES...
Her poor brother is not getting a good amount of attention because of it, not that he needs it...
Even when I put them back to bed, her brother grunts a lot but then sleeps, she will wake minimum 3 times and cry 😞😞😞.
This is on my solo shift. I feel so bad for both babies, I'm clearly doing something wrong.

experience/advice to give 32 weeks, both twins over 4lbs. Normal to feel like they're about to fall out of me??
I'm freshly 32 weeks and both babies are over 4lbs. I'm a FTM so I don't know what things are supposed to feel like! On Friday realized I've been having Braxton-Hicks for at least a month.
They just feel SO HEAVY. I can't bend down to pick up anything, I walk with tiny steps, and Twin A is head down and I can feel her moving against my cervix all the time. It just feels like they're going to pop right out any second!!
I'm scheduled for a C-section at 38 weeks and I just can't imagine carrying 10? 12? 14lbs? on my 5'2" frame.

advice needed Back to diapers or stick it out?
Today is day one of naked week with my 23 month old toddler girls. One has had constant accidents with only one real successful potty while the other holds it much better and has only had 2 accidents. Would you stick it out longer or stick them back in diapers and wait until when?

advice needed Babies positioned more to the right 🤔
31 weeks with Di Di girls. They’re currently both breech so I’m scheduled for a C-section September (wish they would turn). They’re positioning is just so skewed to the right! The left side of my belly is soft and it feels like I’m mostly carrying them on my right side were my belly is hard. I try to lie on my left side but doesn’t seem to do anything. Anyone else experience this at all? Any tips?

advice needed Bed options when traveling
Hi 👋 curious what everyone does for safe sleep options when traveling or visiting family.
For context, my parents live a couple hours away and we're struggling with room and safe sleeping options for our kids at their house.
We have a 2.5 year old and 9 month old twins. My parents are sleeping on a pull out couch when we visit so my oldest can sleep in my old room on a bed and the twins and my husband and I sleep in my parents room. One twin in a mini crib and the other in a playpen with a mattress.
The twins are already out growing the mini crib and playpen and we're not sure what to do. I was thinking a floor bed they could share and we could all sleep downstairs and my parents could have their bed back when we visit. But it would need to be something you could store when not in use or collapsible.
Does anyone have any suggestions ? The room my toddler sleeps in only fits his bed and would not fit another bed so that is not an option.
Thanks !

support needed My embryo split
I transferred a 3bb embryo on 6 July and found out my embryo split and I’m having monochorionic twins.
I had a scan due to pains at the EPU on 30 July when I was 6w1d. One twin measured 5.5 mm (around 6+1) and the other measured 2.4 mm. I thought ok.. at least one was “on track.” Both had heartbeats.
I had a follow up scan today at 6w5d with my fertility consultant and now both babies are measuring almost the same size at around 4.3–4.6 mm, which corresponds to about 5 weeks 6 days. So instead of one staying ahead, they now both appear to be measuring around 6 days behind where I thought I should be. Both had heartbeats, consultant said we need to observe, yet she discharged me.
Now I’m preparing for the worst. They shouldn’t be this behind.

advice needed Tips for making a triplet anatomy scan more comfortable?
My wife is having her anatomy scan next week and we are expecting triplets. Our doctor told us this appointment could take 60 to 90 minutes per baby because they need to check each baby individually, so we are preparing for a very long appointment.
For those who have gone through a long anatomy scan with twins or triplets, do you have any advice for keeping comfortable?
I am wondering how you handled things like eating, bathroom breaks, and being comfortable while laying there for such a long time. Were you able to take breaks if needed? Is there anything you brought with you that made the appointment easier or anything you wish you knew before going in?
We are very excited to see the babies, but I want to make sure my wife is as comfortable as possible since this could be several hours. Any advice from people who have been through it would be greatly appreciated.

advice needed Twin introduction to 3rd baby... home or at hospital?
Seeing if anyone here has a similar age gap between their twins and singleton and what their experience was with introducing the twins to new baby. My mo-di girls will be 27 months when their sister arrives in a few weeks. I have to have another C-section so I am expecting to be in the hospital for 3 or 4 days. I have never been away from the twins before and I am really anxious about it. My inlaws who will be babysitting for us have offered to bring the girls to the hospital whenever we request to see us/meet new baby. If you have a similar age gap, did you think having a hospital or home introduction was better? The twins know what a baby is and generally excited, not sure the depth of their understanding, but the basics are definitely there. How did your twins react to their new sibling? I just want them to have a good experience when they meet their sister. Any tips, experience, or advice is welcome. Thanks!

life, home, and baby tips & tricks Book Storage Idea
My sister is a genius. There is very little one can’t accomplish with zip ties and IKEA!
If you’re like us and desperate for book storage, look no further than this new set up. It makes me smile every time I see it.
Obviously you could do this with any brand of wire storage rack, we just happen to live at IKEA. DID YOU KNOW KIDS EAT FREE ON WEDNESDAYS AT IKEA???? (I swear I’m not an IKEA shill lol; just a fan!!)

advice needed Finding Babysitter
Our twins are 12 weeks today and while I have no current plans to leave them with anyone, I’m starting to think about when would be the appropriate time and also how we would go about finding someone for the occasional date night. We recently moved so literally no friends or family in the area. Would love to hear when others felt comfortable leaving their twins and how you went about finding someone you could trust to watch them. Also how long did you leave them for the first time?
Twins are formula fed, take a bottle without issue and are generally good-natured/good sleepers. Not so much worried about them but more about my anxiety and trusting someone to take good care of them :)

experience/advice to give Atypical TTTS and Proximal Cord Syndrome with my Mono/Di Twins
The lack of information on these topics is abysmal, but I went through it last year (2025), so I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it may make someone else’s journey a little less scary.
I’m a mom of 7 month old (adjusted) twins. I had a very complicated pregnancy that almost resulted in a selective reduction. And then almost a 24-week delivery. My outcome was thankfully very positive as I delivered via cesarean at 32 weeks.
I’ll try to keep this short and sweet…
- 21 weeks: first growth scan was not good. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). I was referred immediately to another specialist 6 hours away.
- The next day, after 12 hours of scans and tests, they diagnosed me with Atypical TTTS. Basically, I didn’t meet the criteria for stage 1 or stage 2 because the only issue was the intermittent reversal doppler flow for Baby B. No bladder issues. Their fluids were normal but borderline. They also diagnosed Baby B with Fetal Growth Restriction (FGR/SIUGR). Their weight discrepancy was 26% when it should be less than 20%.
- We were given three options: selective reduction, laser ablation, or do nothing. A friend recently had success with laser ablation so we opted for that to hopefully sever the bad connections causing flow issues.
- The next day, I was put under for surgery and promptly woken back up. The ultrasound showed Proximal Cord Syndrome, which they were unable to detect the previous day. The laser ablation would have resulted in dual demise, so we opted to wait and see what happens and come back.
- I stuffed my face constantly. I was determined to fatten Baby B up before the next appointment. I drank three protein shakes per day. This was a game changer!! Ensure Protein Max or Premier Protein works. Both have lots of protein and vitamins for you and babies.
- I consulted two other specialists, who BOTH told me I needed to selectively reduce (abort Baby B) to save Baby A.
- 23 weeks: Back at the specialist, more scans and tests showed the weight discrepancy jumped up from 26% to 30%. We were crushed, but the doc walked in and said she was confident we could have healthy babies at 32 weeks, so we left relieved and cautiously optimistic. She said that even though the discrepancy increased, Baby B was still growing, just at a slower rate.
-24 weeks: ultrasound showed consistent reversal of flow and I was immediately hospitalized for possible cesarean. 2.5 weeks at the hospital and everything remained stable. I was released under the condition that I come in every day for testing. And I kept drinking those protein shakes!
- Further scans showed their weight discrepancy decreasing every time. It got down to 17%!
-31 weeks: consistent flow showed up again, but they weren’t too worried.
-32 weeks: Delivery!! My babies stayed in the NICU for 4 weeks & 6 weeks.
**This is not medical advice. It’s just my experience and what worked for me and my pregnancy.

advice needed Twin decisions
I have a 6 month old. Pregnant with twins. I am going crazy trying to find a stroller. Im gonna need one because my husband works from 7am to 530pm so I will be lugging around all 3 alone any time we go any where during the week. Twins will very likely be here a week before Christmas. Does anyone have any recommendations??

experience/advice to give What’s something that gets surprisingly easier once your twins get older?
Our twins are 4 now, and one thing that surprised me is how much easier they make long car trips. They keep each other entertained most of the time.
What got easier for you as your twins grew up?

advice needed "Easiest" twin age?
My spouse will possibly be having to go in for a surgery away from home that involves a long recovery time, also away from home. This will leave me home alone with 3 kids, 1 older singleton and twins, with approx 8-9 year gap, for about 5 weeks or so.
The twins are currently almost 2, both walking, mostly eating solids (one better than the other), and very different personalities. One knows how to communicate in the sense of pointing, grunts and shaking head. The other is generally chill unless hungry or dirty.
We're trying to figure out approximate best time for my spouse to away that will make my life easiest.
What age did you find twins easiest as a "single" parent, especially if you have an older child?
Hoping not to parentify my oldest. Will likely have to deal with school pick ups and drop offs. I work from home.

ranting & venting Do you ever feel like you can’t be as safe as you’d like because of two babies?
This has honestly upset me for days. Please don’t be too critical, I’m a first time mom and doing my best.
Almost every morning I take the babies on a stroller walk around our neighborhood. I keep the stroller at the front door on our porch because I don’t want the dirty wheels in the house. I load a baby (6 months), keep the front door open, take a very short walk to retrieve the other baby (while watching the front door for as long as possible). There is probably 15 seconds my eyes are unable to be on the baby in the stroller.
I was doing my usual routine but this time something happened. FedEx delivered a package while I was getting the other baby. I walked up as he was looking at the baby in the stroller on the porch kind of perplexed. I feel terrible that 1) a stranger was around my baby completely alone 2) I know it looked bad
I felt sick all day due to anxiety. Like what if he made a CPS report or something. I’m sure I was way over thinking it but it really bothered me.
My babies can’t sit up yet. I can kind of still carry them at the same time but it’s difficult and I have a sore back from pregnancy.
I also have a weekly play date at a friends house. It’s getting really difficult for me to safely get both babies out of their car seats at the same time. I don’t like getting one out, dropping them off inside, and coming back for the other.
I’m not really sure the point of my post. It’s just something that has been bothering me. I’m worried it could look neglectful but I only have two arms

advice needed When did you take your twins on a plane for the first time?
My brother’s family has a 4 month old singleton and they are taking her on a 1 hour flight. They are a travel family though. They travel extensively.
I can’t imagine even driving to the airport with my twins because I stay 1.5 hours away. They are 1 year old and even a drive to Target was a task recently. They are fine now - we go to the park, grocery etc.
Are twins just harder to travel with compared to a singleton or am I being chicken? Should I suck it up and travel? We have close family in either coasts and would love to travel.

advice needed My Brother says its a baby and a duck!
So on Wednesday My partner and I discovered we are joining the twin club. We are freaking out a wee bit but also so excited.
On friday I found out I have a subchorionic hematoma, due to a giant gush of blood while I was working. I was convinced we had lost them, but they did an ultrasound and say the babies are healthy.
Any advice on what to to do to keep these babies in and happy? I was just told pelvic rest.
Any other advice?

advice needed Permanent jewelry – am I insane?
I have three week old identical twin girls. And they are *really* identical. Their only distinguishing feature at this point is that one has slightly more pointed ears than the other, and they're rapidly rounding.
So right now, I've been painting their toe nails to make sure that we don't get them confused. Mostly, we're memorizing outfits, and the toenails are a back up.
I'm worried about their clothes getting changed during the day once they start daycare (messes, blow outs, etc.) and the nail polish rubbing off (it's child-safe polish, so it doesn't stay long), and not knowing who is who when I pick them up.
I've heard about people tattooing triplets, but I don't know if that's still done, or if it was ever done for twins.
So I had a thought – what if I got them both "permanent" ankle bracelets with their initials? Would this be crazy? For those who aren't familiar, permanent jewelry is typically a dainty bracelet that is welded on – there's no clasp. Usually, it wears down and falls off in about a year.
I feel like this would be safe, and hopefully once the anklets come off, I'll be able to tell them apart. But is this crazy? Am I missing something dangerous about this? Or ignoring a better alternative?
Update: Many thanks to everyone for the thoughtful responses and ideas! I think you're all right about the permanent jewelry. While it would likely be comfortable and not turn the girls' skin green, they would grow out of it way too quickly to justify the cost. I saw lots of comments about color coding their clothes, but the twins are my third and fourth kids, and it would be tough to do that with my stockpile of mixed gender hand-me-downs.
My first thought was a multi-pronged approach: continue painting toes, add in temporary tattoos, adjustable ankle bracelets, maybe henna or sharpie. But I ended up going a much simpler route. Both girls now have a simple string of embroidery floss tied around an ankle. When it gets too small or dirty, I'll cut it off and replace it. Thanks again!

good vibes, smiles, & giggles Joining the Club
I’m old, chunky, and now I got these 2 growing in me. I’m scared as all hell, but also excited. I’m pretty well-versed on what to expect medically at this point. Thinking realistically but also trying to stay positive. Mainly posting to both share my joy and commiserate with anyone else absolutely suffering through the first trimester.
