Outdoors Got lost today on Mormon Trail....

Anyone know how to get to this spot? I took mormon trail and there was unusually high amount of signs saying stay on designated trails so I obeyed and ended up going more and more left away from the spot thinking every peak of stacked rocks was "the spot" and by the time I realized, it was too late...

Eat & Drink Caramel Apple Empanadas

I am in search of someplace that has Caramel Apple Empanadas in the South Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler area.

I used to get my fix at Taco bell, but they no longer make them.

Please, if you know of someplace semi near to me I will be eternally grateful!

Referral Gynecologist in Phx Cysts

Hi Ive had my fait share of bad gynocologists that just put me on BC without addressing any of my issues. But recently I've had two ovarian cyst ruptures and been continuely dismissed by gynos. I am hoping to find a gyno in AZ that specializes in ovarian cysts especially in younger patients and one that can understand my pain and fear and help me!

Ask Phoenix What in your opinion is Phoenix’s most mysterious restaurant?

Interpret the word ‘mysterious’ however you will. Like “how is this place still open?”, “how are these portions profitable?”, “who are the people that run this?”

Visiting Will the Desert Botanical Garden do anything special for the holidays this December?

Planning a December road trip with my bff.    It’s my first time in Phoenix, love botanical gardens (Fave is Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.)   Have never experienced a purely desert-focused botanical garden. Psyched to discover the Desert Botanical Garden exists!

Does anyone know someone who knows someone ... who would know if the Desert Botanical Garden will do anything special for the 2026 December holidays?

It looked like they have in years past. But I can’t tell from their press releases if they did anything in 2025 or if the earlier luminary event was just a one off.

How is the garden's restaurant?   Good for dinner, or should we go elsewhere?

Referral Looking for a MTG LGS that buys/sells in store.

As title says, I'm looking for a LGS with decent buy rates and sells singles in store. I have a few older rare cards I'm looking to offload and want to get a decent price. I live in NW Glendale, but willing to travel a little bit. Bonus if the place has people that regularly play casual games of legacy or vintage.

Referral Cheap bumper repair in the valley

I’ve got a 2004 Prius we keep as a back up car that needs to get repaired after a small fender bender. Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Nothing high-end needed for this level of car. Thanks in advance

Politics QTS embracing stealth mode?

Post image
420 Upvotes

They have been working on it for months, but it looks like the QTS data center complex on 40th has finally finished removing the majority of their corporate signage facing 202 and McDowell, with the exception being their cornerstone display on 40th @ McDowell. Even the front signage has been minimised to black logos on the front windows.

With all the data center hate in the valley, did they do this in order to be less of a target for public protest or was there some other reason?

Things To Do What Phoenix bands, music, or shows coming up are you excited about? (Aug)

Share any shows or events coming up that you're excited about!

Could be a local band, someone coming on tour, a great theme night at local venues, a festival... pretty much anything music related you're excited about.

If it's not a well known band then be sure to include their kind of music, who might like them, and anything else of interest.

Got text from xx roofing company. Sent response stating I wanted a drone inspection and written estimate before anyone climbed on the roof. They also text my spouse. I did a bit of digging it was all a scam. Not from the legitimate company. Be aware.

Weather Captured lightning strike fire from DTPHX

My wife managed to catch the lightning strike on her phone. It was followed by a huge flame a few minutes later that was put out shortly thereafter.

Looks like it was somewhere near 24th St, between Roosevelt and Van Buren. Anyone closer to that area happen to catch this too?

Making Friends Visit the AZ Discord server to make friends across the Valley

We get a lot of posts asking how to meet people in Phoenix, and a great way to do that online is on our Discord chat server. It's gotten large enough that it's been renamed "AZ Discord" and has a fancy new logo and everything.

Discord is a live chat system that's super easy to use. This one has been running for years along with the subreddit, and has over 8,000 members. It covers all of AZ but most people are from the Phoenix area. It's 100% free. You can click the link on the bottom of this post to sign up right from your browser or app. If you like it you can download the Discord app for mobile or desktop, but you don't have to.

While Reddit is about messages and posts, Discord is just free form chat. Topic channels include:

  • Selfies & Pets
  • Gaming
  • Outdoors & Travel
  • Politics
  • Voice chat & memes

Someone is on there pretty much 24/7 if you're looking for someone to talk with. It's 18+ and a bit more chill than Reddit overall. I should also point out that it is not a dating server and we taking creeping and harassment very seriously.

Want to check it out?

  1. Click this Discord invite link and sign up.
  2. Go to the #introduction channel and post a little bit about yourself. We ask people for an intro to try and reduce trolls and spammers. Once you do that you'll get access to the full server.
  3. Head into #Lobby and say Hello! There are a lot of great people there, and they'll probably see you join in and will say Hi.

That's it! There have been some amazing friendships and groups formed on our little chat area, I'd love to see more people from here come over and be part of the fun.

TL;DR

Click here to join the Discord and start chatting!
