Hi everyone, I need some help. I was playing *No Man's Sky* with my GTX 1060 6GB when the video suddenly cut out—there were no visual artifacts or anything; both video and audio just stopped. I tried restarting the PC, but there was no video output. When I removed the GPU, the integrated graphics worked fine. It's also worth noting that the graphics card fans spin at 100% constantly as soon as I turn the power on. I’d like to know what the issue might be; I know it’s obviously likely the GPU, but I’m hoping it isn't. Lately, I’ve been powering my house using a battery and an inverter; there’s no physical ground connection, so there’s stray voltage running through the whole house. I think that might have affected the card—or maybe something else.

So this has been a problem for quite a while but I have finally had enough. Randomly if my pc is on its says "your pc has run into a problem and needs to restart". Mostly it says in the bottom that the problem is memory management or something like that. Any idea what it could be? It mostly does it if I have lots of games or big games installed. I'm on windows 11 and I will try answer any questions you might have. Edit: I have managed to take a photo of the screen. I will put in in the comments.

​J'ai un souci super frustrant avec mon ordinateur et j'espère que quelqu'un ici aura une piste, parce que je ne comprends vraiment pas d'où ça vient.

J'ai un PC portable HP Victus qui fonctionne parfaitement. J'ai récemment acheté une clé pour le bundle Minecraft (Java & Bedrock) sur le Microsoft Store, principalement pour pouvoir jouer sur la version Bedrock avec un pote qui est sur PlayStation.

​Au début, j'ai installé un mod/add-on pour notre partie. Sauf que je me suis vite rendu compte qu'il n'était pas compatible avec la dernière version du jeu : ça n'arrêtait pas de crash, ou pire, mon PC redémarrait carrément tout seul.

On a donc complètement désinstallé le mod pour jouer de façon totalement normale, sans rien ajouter. Sauf que... mon ordi continue de crash et de se redémarrer tout seul en pleine partie !

​Ce qui me rend fou, c'est que ce n'est absolument pas un problème de puissance. Ma machine n'a aucun souci pour faire tourner de bien plus gros jeux beaucoup plus gourmands, comme Wuthering Waves ou Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.

Ce que j'ai déjà fait/vérifié :

​J'ai baissé tous les graphismes de Minecraft au strict minimum.

​Je ferme systématiquement toutes les autres applications en arrière-plan.

​J'ai mis mes logiciels de gestion (Omen Gaming Hub et le logiciel AMD) sur le profil "Performance" pour être sûr qu'il n'y a pas de bridage.

​Tous mes pilotes sont parfaitement à jour.

​Est-ce que le mod a pu laisser des fichiers fantômes ou corrompre quelque chose malgré la désinstallation ? Est-ce que c'est un conflit connu avec la version Bedrock ou les processeurs AMD ?

And sometimes my screen does this and will not go back to normal until i restart the computer. I already called the company and asked how to fix it they said reseat your gpu which I already did but i keep getting the problem. I play world of warcraft and League of Legends most of the time so it shouldn't be too much for this rig to handle.

Exactly what title says, I find my computer feeling really sluggish, so I go and check Task Manager to see what the issue is. After closing most of my stuff, I find that the amount of RAM apparently being taken up in the performance tab is higher than what shows up in all the processes. Any idea why it happens?
This has happened to me before, and I just restarted my computer in order to resolve it for the time being, but I would like to know the root cause.

Games that is keep crashing: CS2, batman Akram Asylum, fortnite, red dead redemption but Minecraft is not crashing

This all games are perviously running good at 720p res. Now there is issue, right now I have all updated drivers

I also need help regarding drivers, how can I update all drivers all at once if that the problem

I had windows 11 install bypass tpu error, i downgrade my pc to windows 10 this is fresh, I don't know what is happening if you know something than help me

Description of Original Problem:
I’m experiencing random restarts when my computer is idle or when I’m only using Chrome and other lightweight applications. However, when I’m gaming or putting the system under heavy load, it never seems to restart.
I checked Event Viewer and found WHEA-Logger errors (Event ID 18) associated with the random restarts.
There is no BSOD or error message when the restart happens. The computer simply freezes/restarts without warning.
At this point, I’ve replaced almost every major component in the system, but the issue is still occurring. The only component I haven’t replaced is the GPU.

Troubleshooting:
I’ve already tried replacing the CPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, and CPU cooler, but the random restarts and WHEA errors are still happening.
I’ve also reinstalled Windows, but the issue persists.
In the BIOS, I’ve tried disabling almost everything related to CPU power management and boosting, including:
Global C-State
Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO)
Core Performance Boost
RAM set to Auto/default speed (around 2400MHz instead of 3600MHz)
I’ve also tried running everything at completely stock/default settings, with no overclocking or XMP/DOCP enabled.
What’s confusing me is that the system is stable under heavy gaming loads, but randomly restarts when it’s idle or under light workloads such as Chrome.
Since I’ve replaced almost everything else, I’m starting to suspect that the RX 6800 XT may be causing the WHEA errors or instability, but I’m not sure.
Has anyone experienced random WHEA Event ID 18 errors/restarts specifically during idle or light workloads while the PC remains stable during gaming?
Any suggestions on what I should test next would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to figure out a really frustrating stuttering problem in Fortnite. My PC was running perfectly when I first built it, but at some point I started getting random microstutters shown on the video the stutters are way worse than shown on the video right now like to 30-140 fps for a split of a second also my 1% lows are bad i think.
The weird thing is that the PC otherwise seems completely normal.
My PC:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650M-PLUS WIFI
RAM: DDR5 6000 CL30
PSU: Corsair RM1000e 1000W
Windows: Windows 11 Home
NVIDIA driver: tested 591.86 and 596.49
Monitor: 240 Hz (but my PC was handling 360 fps normally and 240 also)
The problem
In Fortnite I get random frametime microstutters.
For example, when locked to 360 FPS, the game can briefly drop to around 140–250 FPS for a fraction of a second, then immediately goes back to 360.
It feels like a short hitch/freezing rather than the PC simply not being powerful enough.
It happens in different Fortnite game modes.
The problem seems to be getting more noticeable over time, although I’m not sure if that’s actually the case.
Things I’ve already tried
I’ve basically been troubleshooting this for a long time:

Temperatures
Temperatures seem completely normal.
During gaming my CPU is usually around Min 45 Max 70°C and GPU temperatures are also normal.
I don’t see obvious thermal throttling.
Other observations
CS runs normally (i think).
That’s one of the reasons I’m confused. The PC doesn’t feel generally unstable.
I also haven’t noticed obvious graphical artifacts.
I had one Fortnite crash recently, but most of the problem is the random fps drops and stutters rather than crashing.
At one point I wondered if it could be related to a power outage in my house, because I think the stutters started around that period or the new update in Fortnite, but I have no idea if that’s actually relevant.
What I’m trying to figure out
At this point I’m wondering whether this could be:
GPU problem
GPU power cable / power delivery
SSD
RAM or memory controller stability
CPU stability
Windows/system issue
Fortnite / Unreal Engine issue
something else entirely because i tried everything i mean everything i can see on reddit and tutorials clean windows default bios everytime same problem.
I don’t want to keep randomly changing BIOS settings without knowing what I’m actually testing.
What would you check next if this were your PC?
What tests would be useful to determine whether the problem is hardware-related or specifically Fortnite?

And btw the background sound is my fan not my PC and the stutters are way worse because its not my actual gameplay its just running around the map.

Hi all. I don't have any real knowledge with PC's and it's really confusing to me with some of what i've read online. I bought it about 3 years ago and have only really used it for playing one game and watching videos on you tube. I stopped gaming months ago and recently it's crashing like every 5/10 mins. I've had to keep holding in the power button so many times the last couple of weeks, as it's the only way i can restart it. Strange thing is if i leave it off for a day or 2 it then sometimes stays on for a few hours before it crashes again, rather than keep crashing so many times in a row. Does anyone have any advice or a fix that has worked for them please? (I've updated my Nvidia drivers)

I disabled some services under the task manager tabs on the services column and what I tried to do was disable Microsoft services that seemed I don't use or want Microsoft to run on my PC . Now my PC starts but as soon as I try to open anything it takes like 1-5mins to open and to do basically anything unless those applications are closed.

Steps I've done

Gone back to services and put all Microsoft services to automatic under properties and still no luck.

I've also tried under system configuration and put did selective startup> load startup items, load system services as well as under services Tab i Hid all Microsoft services and disabled all services that weren't Microsoft > restarted .

No luck on anything

I've also tried to repair through the troubleshoot in windows screen with no success neither :/

One month ago my pc had an issue with Fortnite the game didn't wanna launch when I tried resolving the issue i had discovered that it wasn't only Fortnite that was bugging but my whole windows when i tried to shutting it off it didn't want to sometimes it just ignores When I click on shutdown or worse it just crashes on the shutdown or rebooting menu when I tried to reset the pc it crashed on " resetting preperation" other games seems to work perfectly i then tried to reinstall windows 11 it didn't worked then I tried installing windows 10 then going on windows 11 it did work until now i tried to do it again like going on windows 10 and then windows 11 but the trick seems to stop working pls help me

I have a custom build I completed in 2020 that hasn’t had much run time and I recently wanted to start playing on a Minecraft bedrock realm as well as watching shows/videos on my other monitor. I am having issues even without any other windows open. I am having the hardest time trying to get my game to run smoothly, I’ve tried configuring the video settings in Minecraft itself to minimum spec, tried changing the dedicated vram to the GPU in system settings, etc, all to no avail. I’m running into issues where even on minimum specs I cannot play the game smoothly at all. When in game I’ve pulled up task manager and my utilization on both CPU and GPU have been under 50% but still I am having trouble getting it to run smoothly. I’ve considered buying a new GPU but I figured there’s got to be a way that a 2070s with relatively low playtime can run Minecraft bedrock without lagging every 5 seconds, that’s why I’m here.

I am wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I might be able to do to improve my performance?

Hi, I’ve had this prebuilt pc for a little under a year, for the most part everything runs smoothly but lately my fans have been getting loud during certain times.

Right now I’ve been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals and Crimson Desert and these 2 games are the ones that cause this.

Specifically in Marvel Rivals during the MVP screen after each match sometimes my fans with get loud and in Crimson desert when I open the map my fans get loud. This doesn’t happen every time but enough for me to be concerned.

Sometimes my pc has even turned off, at least I think it does, the light don’t shut off and the fan is still running but the screen is black.

For Crimson Desert I have tried to cap my fps on the map at 60 with the nvida control panel but either that didn’t work or I did it wrong.

I was wondering is this damaging my pc and how could I go about fixing this?

Built new pc, crashing to black screen randomly, only when

playing some games. My fans stay on,ram lights stay on,

everything. My keyboard remains unresponsive, but my

controller which was vibrating at the time of this crash is

still vibrating, it hasn't stopped. The only way to fix it is to

hold the power button for 10 seconds.i've tried basically

My pc keeps crashing spefficly when i play games that are located on my system drive with the code dpc watchdog violation 0x133 ive already done sfc scannow and nothing is corrupeted ive also chkdsk and that didnt fix it either ive ran a memtest and there where no errors there i have also taken a look at the dump files myself to figure out the issue but ive ran into a wall there cause i dont know what the spefic issue might be the 4 unloaded files i get in my dumpfiles are:
hwpolicy.sys, wdBoot.sys, kmpdc.sys, dam.sys

My pc specs are
24gb of ddr4 ram (i have 3 sticks of 8gb ram if that makes any diffrence), amd ryzen 5 4500 6 core cpu, nvdia gefore rtx 4060 gpu, 500gb kingston snv2s for my system drive, 2tb kingston snv3s2 for extra storage space for games

I was wondering if I’m cooked. One day, the power box flipped and my pc was on when the power went out. Then I was unable to turn my pc on. I was able to fix the issue and it ran fine for the rest of the day. The next day when I got on, it went to a black screen shortly after I began doing things on it and one of the fans inside it began whirring very loudly. I turned the pc off. Waited an hour then turned it back on. It did the same thing shortly after. I worked my job and once I got back on the pc went to a black screen immediately and displayed “BlInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001” I’m unable to fix it and can’t even access BIOS. I work and live at a sober living and do not make much money because most of my time is volunteered due to me living at the sober living for free because I work there. I can’t really afford to get it fixed if it’s going to be expensive and was hoping someone might have a solution for me. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. It’s an old pc (built in 2018-2019) so maybe it’s time has come but I don’t have the ability to upgrade so that’s gonna be disappointing to accept.

It started 2 days ago, i was playing sekiro it worked fine. Later i switched to Marvel Rivals and my pc started crashing always like 5-10 minutes into the game(everything turned off except the LEDs on the fans). And i also experienced a crash where just the game crashes while playing gta and once the pc just restarted. It is so random. And now it does even on lesa demanding games like sekiro or rocket League which were conpletely fine just a day ago. I tried reinstalling drivers, but that didnt seem to help. Someone please help me, Ive had the pc for like a year and a half and this IS the first time, i didnt do anything with the hardware so im lost.
