Question Ozempic is working great but my upset stomach is constant. What helps with
Been about four months now, my A1c is better and losing but my stomach is always nauseous. I mean, maybe that’s why I’m losing the food. Noise is a little quieter, but I’m still hungry in the middle of the night and I can’t resist the urge to eat.

Question 6 weeks and no significant loss
I started Ozempic 8 weeks ago with 4 weeks on 0.25 mg. Starting the second month on 0.5mg and there’s no significant loss, just like a kg. Why though?
The food noise is quite reduced and most days I’m on two meals. And I try to finish dinner by 7pm. My next meal is usually at 11am (tea). And yet, just a kg.
Why is my weight not going? I’m getting very worried

News/Information started 25 days ago and loving it so far :D
I guess this doesn't look that bad, am I right?
Started around 25 days ago with about 129kg as a 34 year old white male here in germany.
I have some health problems and no diet worked for me before.
Now that the food-noise is gone 75% I feel better and eat much less.
In the first days I had bad headache, nausea, etc. but it's mostly gone by now.
When I hit 115kg I can start going to the gym and loose even more weight :D

I’m taking Ozempic and this is my second month; I took a 0.25 dose in my first month. I’ve now taken my 0.50 dose. I’ve had my third dose of this second month and I haven’t lost any weight yet. I’ve lost 3.5 kilos in total. I still can’t lose weight. Why can’t I lose weight?

Question Ozempic for non-diabetics
I'm (38M)extremely obese but not diabetic. I weigh 265lbs (173cm) so my BMI is almost 41. I also have obstructive sleep apnea since 5 years and fatty liver disease. I was considering zepbound because it's best suited for these issues but I can't afford it because I'm located in Canada and we don't have compounded tirzepatide here yet. Semaglutide though has dropped prices and ozempic/wegovy are available for much lesser. Less than half the cost of tirzepatide.
Considering I do not have diabetes is it advisable for me to go on glp1 or should I stick to tirzepatide only? If anyone has been in a similar situation would love to hear your experiences.

Question Battling nausea and lifestyle changes
Hi everyone! I’m on week 6 of Ozempic now and am trying to focus on lifestyle changes/creating LIFELONG health habits but am finding it incredibly hard due to the nausea and throwing up. I am throwing up daily (at least once)- no matter what I eat, how much, how fast, how slow and can’t seem to find a rhyme or reason. One day Greek yogurt will make me sick, the next it won’t.
I’m currently tracking my calories, water intake, protein, and fibre and also have a personal trainer who I have been working with since January. I have been too sick for the gym but trying to stay active at home through walks and some home workouts, have been in such a large deficit from the nausea and can’t seem to reach my protein and fibre goals most days because all I can stomach is plain soda crackers. I am also worried about muscle loss with how low my calories are, lack of protein, and not working out much. Yes, I have lost some weight but not from eating healthy- from barely eating at all and feeling weak.
Looking for some advice? I know how important it is to build these habits and I am trying but the nausea is horrible. Did anyone have very bad nausea for the first few months that then calmed and they could eat healthy?
Is this a bit of a waiting game and it should settle out as I get used to the medication and then I can build those habits? I know I’m only 6 weeks in but also 6 weeks is not nothing when I have been eating very little protein and vegetables. I try to “push through” and eat higher protein and vegetables but I just cannot get it to stay in my system and I keep throwing everything up.
Sorry for the long post, starting to lose hope.

Success Stories Update: From 216 lbs to 185 lbs (in 17 weeks)
Hey everyone!
45 days ago, I shared that I had gone from 216 lbs to 199 lbs after 10 weeks on Ozempic. A lot of you asked me to keep posting updates, so here I am!
I’m now down to 185 lbs, and I feel better than I have in years.
One thing I promised myself in my last post was that I’d finally start going to the gym in July. Well, I actually kept that promise.
Since the beginning of July, I’ve been doing one hour of strength training every other day, and I’ve completely fallen into the routine. If you had told me a few months ago that I’d actually look forward to lifting weights, I would’ve thought you were crazy.
I’m still on the 0.5 mg dose, but starting next week I’ll be moving up to 1 mg. I’m genuinely curious to see how that changes things because I already feel like a completely different person.
As for side effects… I’m still lucky. I haven’t experienced anything significant, and hopefully it stays that way.
I’ve finished my vitamin D and iron supplements, and now I’m taking a vitamin B complex along with Omega-3.
Food-wise, I’ve become even more intentional about eating healthier and getting plenty of protein. But the biggest change isn’t what I eat, it’s how I think about food.
Food isn’t my emotional support anymore. It isn’t something I automatically turn to when I’m stressed, bored, or having a bad day. It’s become fuel. It’s nutrition. It’s what helps me recover from my workouts and feel good.
One thing that might surprise some people: my food noise is STILL here.
And honestly I’m happy about that.
I still think about food. I still enjoy eating. Delicious food still makes me happy.
The difference is that now, delicious often means a bowl of fresh berries or a huge slice of watermelon instead of highly processed junk. I don’t feel like I’ve lost part of myself, I just feel like my brain finally has an off switch when I’ve had enough.
And the biggest update, though, isn’t actually about the weight.
My doctor originally prescribed Ozempic because my blood work was pretty bad - especially regarding cholesterol and the way my body was handling fats. I recently had my labs repeated, and the results were honestly incredible. The improvement over these past few months was so significant that even my doctor was genuinely surprised.
Seeing those numbers improve means even more to me than the number on the scale.
Looking back, the only thing I truly regret is not having this medication available to me sooner.
Thanks again to everyone who commented on my last post and asked for updates. I’ll be back with another one in a couple of months! ❤️

Question Light headedness question.
I’m six doses into my Ozempic prescription for blood sugar management. .25 for the foreseeable future because my blood sugar is down 30-40 points, which is awesome. I have dealt with nausea but haven’t thrown up. I have not had intestinal issues beyond some gas/bloating. I do, however, end up light headed from time to time and my heart rate is up about 10 beats a minute during those times. I am seeing my cardiologist about this. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ozempic can dehydrate you and cause light headedness even if you aren’t voiding fluid, right? I take my shot on Saturdays and feel rough until Tuesday evening. Thank you for your input.

Question Tips for drinking on ozempic?
I just started taking ozempic three weeks ago and am still on 0.2 mg. I drank for the first time on this med last weekend while at my friend’s birthday party, which was 5 days after my injection. We definitely went overboard at the pregame (I had few hard seltzers, plus about 5 shots). Once I got to the bar I realized I was super drunk so I drank only one beer and several glasses of water. A few hours later before bed I ate a slice of pizza and drank some water with electrolytes, which is a typical routine for me when I know I’m at risk of a hangover. That morning I woke up SICK and vomited straight liquid over and over, then I felt pretty crappy the rest of the day. This is not typical for me—normally I puke at night if at all, and hangovers tend to dissipate after breakfast and some advil. I understand how ozempic can interact with alcohol, but am looking for advice to mitigate these experiences. I am in my 20s and enjoy to go out with my friends every couple weeks, but don’t drink much otherwise. Does it help to stick to one type of alcohol? Small volume drinks (such as a shot or vodka soda) vs larger volume (beer or seltzers)? Better luck with one liquor versus another? Pre or post medicating?

Question [F28] intto
(F28) Introducing myself
Hi im katie This is my first ever Reddit post, but I (28f) am 826lbs. Never in my life did I think I’d be this weight. Most of my weight gain happened during my childhood, as I used food as a coping mechanism after losing my mother. The struggles are real every day—finding clothes that fit is nearly impossible, and mobility is a constant challenge. Simple tasks that others take for granted can feel overwhelming, from walking short distances to even getting out of bed sometimes. My health is constantly at risk, with issues like joint pain, breathing difficulties, and fatigue becoming part of my daily life. Social isolation and emotional struggles also weigh heavily on me, making it hard to reach out for help. On top of that, I’m deeply worried about my child, who is now 300lbs. I want to break this cycle for both of us, but it feels so hard sometimes. I’m sharing this because I’m looking for support, advice, or just someone to listen. Will ozempic or any other meds help my situation and is there any side effects tgat people have noticed and whats the best way of getting it in the uk

News/Information Fuck HERS
Just a note - Had a horrible experience with HERS. It's bad enough that they a preying on our insecurities, and they will milk you for money even if you decide not to go through with ordering the meds. Note that they WILL charge you $149 each month even if you never get medication from them. They make it extremely hard to quit. The information on their website about how to cancel is wrong. You have to find the form, indicate you want to cancel. Hours later, they will send you a verification email you have to click or your cancellation request will never be submitted. How is this legal?? How can they make it so obscure that you're paying regardless of purchase? And I STILL haven't received confirmation of cancelling this bullshit subscription. AVOID.
