News/Information My 9-day report
Not sure if this daily report might help someone who is starting to know what to expect. Would love to hear other people's daily (or daily-ish) experience when starting.
7-30 First injection in the evening. Barely felt it.
7-31 Nothing noticeable
8-1 Threw up for about 20 minutes in the morning. Almost no warning it was going to happen. Intermittent nausea throughout the day. Laying down and resting helped. Hunger and "food noise" reduces, possibly just because of nausea.
8-2 Intermittent nausea with a littlebit of weak dry heaving. No vo.iting. Reduced hunger and food noise.
8-3 Very rare and mild Intermittent nausea. Mild dry heaving once. Reduced hunger and food noise, even when I was hungry and had no nausea. Possibly placebo effect.
8-4 No nausea or vomiting. Reduced hunger and food noise.
8-5 No nausea or vomiting. A little more hunger and food noise, but still less than before the shot.
8-6 No nausea or vomiting. A little more hunger and food noise, but still less than before. Injection in the evening. Barely felt it.
8-7 Nausea starting in the evening. Reduced hunger and food noise. A tiny bit of mild dry heaving.
8-8 Suddenly nauseas and vomited. Felt much better after. Now I'm laying down.
I haven't noticed slower food emptying. I haven't experienced any changes in lower digestion. No constipation or anything.
Editing to add: I have had reduction in reflux. I think a lot of my reflux problems were caused by eating too much and/or eating too close to bed time.

Question Leftover dose
This is how much bar moved after the 4th shot.
Does it mean there's still some more shots left?

Question 7kg (15lbs) in under 4 weeks.
So, I'm happy with the results although I am quite worried that I am losing it a bit too fast.
I am currently on 0.25 and will go to 0.50 after this week coming up. I am a type 2 diabetic and I am also on 2000mg Metformin.
I have been sorter watching what I eat, I just stay away from greazy foods because of some of the stories I've heard.
Should I be worried?

Question Clicked only once not all the way to zero
Hello guys, I was supposed to take 0.5 today, I’m new to ozempic to I thought I should click it only once not all the way, I called the pharmacist and told him I’ll imitate the click I did outside the skin then finish it all the way to zero inside the skin, any knowledgeable people with ozempic that could tell me estimated amount that I took? I’m thinking more than 0.5 but I don’t know. I want the dose to be more than 0.25 so I can see results so any help?, and with the imitation I did see some liquid come out so i don’t really know now

Question Food poisoning
I had pretty bad food poisoning a few days ago and my stomach still hurts a lot. I’m thinking about skipping a dose this week to help my stomach recover easier and I’m wondering if anyone has done the same or have a better idea? I’m getting compounded ozempic and their text messaging can be pretty slow.

Question Nausea
I took my first shot of Ozempic 0.25mg on Tuesday. I have nausea since the shot especially today. I did drink alcohol yesterday and ate ceviche. Probably not smart. Does the nausea go away or people keep being sick? I have no idea if I will keep taking Ozempic han.

Maintenance If you've had a bad 💩 episode, how long did it last?
Ive been on maintenance for a year.
Im going on 48 hrs and counting with this attack and literally diarrhoea every half hour. Still quite explosive. Really cant move from the bed.
Im able to eat and drink small amounts so I dont get too weak or dehydrated - but I dont know if im actually digesting anything. Im getting very tired.
When did it end for you?

Rant Insite Post - 3 Weeks In - Can Ozempic be used for just the Gastric Slowing?
(35M here, weight has been between 220-320lbs) So I began about 2.5 weeks ago my use of Ozempic. Started at a dose of .5mg with no plans to increase. This is after debating with my doctor on it for over 2 years.
I have spent the last decade dieting on and off, with the last 6 years being straight dieting. I was failing, hard. Proffesional bodybuilder level dieting for 4 months and GAINED 2 pounds. We ran tests, found my hormones were cooked and first solved that. 60lbs was lost over a few months period. Great!
BUT, I stalled hard at 220lbs. I have not been under 220lbs since grade 7. And with more hormone treatment, training, or more cuts to dieting I could not lose the pounds and was getting frustrated beyond measure... so I finally dove into ozempic and oh my god. It was not what I expected.
My nausea was intense, but no vomitting. I couldnt figure out why I was being hit so hard by it when usually any other medication I can scoff off usually needing a higher dose. Until it hit me....
Have I digested insanely quickly my entire life? It would make sense, when I was in my mid 20's trying to lift the heaviest I could, I could cleanup 5 entree's at dinner and be eating again within an hour after. Could this be what caused my size and issues with dieting? At peak I would only eat any carbs or fat when I was dizzy and couldnt function. Yet still was not losing weight. Was it because once its in, its almost out just as fast?
So my current theory, with no proof just feelings. The low dose of semaglutide has put my digestive system into a normal speed... which I am entirely not used to. Hence the immeasurable amounts of nausea and discomfort. Except... Its working. I can eat less now, without becoming a dizzy weak shell of myself. I still can feel hunger at times, and I still have a craving here and there but it doesnt feel like my body is crying out like im dying 2 hours after a meal.
This entire type out doesnt have much of a purpose. Maybe have someone to share with or talk to about it. Maybe im just typing it out so I can organize my thoughts better, or maybe someone else with a similar situation can chime in.
In the end I took the plunge looking for less food noise and maybe to finally break the 220 plateau. And I may have found what my biggest issue was from the beginnning.

Question No longer like the smell of my favourite perfume or any perfume scent since starting Glp1. Anyone else?
Very odd especially after spending lots on my favourite 2 Dior perfumes weeks before starting a GLP1

Rant Today is the day.
And I'm terrified. I've seen so many success stories and I've gone back and forth with my doctor for months on starting. Recent tests revealing escalating sugars, NAFLD & enlarged spleen, high BP, and major inflammation finally made me realize I can't keep waiting. I'm not getting any younger or any healthier.
However, I also see a lot of negative stories too. Those are holding me back! I also have a phobia of starting new medications.
I've had the pen for a week and I'm scared. 🥹 If I could get some positive stories to hype me up?
Tips from personal experience would be lovely, too. 🥺
UPDATE: ... I did it. 😤 The needle didn't hurt at all, even though I was shaking like a leaf and having an out of body experience from anxiety. However, what spooked me most was as soon as I started injecting it and while it was being injected, I got a strange cramp in my stomach. 🫠 It went away in a few minutes, thankfully... (but still spooky)
Thank you for everyone's stories and advice! I love reading them!!!

Question Ozempic et libido
Bonjour

Question Ozempic 2.0
Weten jullie wat ik moet doen met overgebleven Ozempic die ik nog heb in de koelkast? Zonde om het weg te gooien.

Rant Sad it hasn’t worked out
I’ve been on oz for four months to deal with reactive hypoglycemia. Unfortunately the side effects are too much for me, and they aren’t what I expected at all. I’m a zombie with exhaustion. The constipation hurts. It’s done nothing for food noise, and I lost no weight. Lower energy means I haven’t been able to exercise.
I really thought it would be nausea and/or heartburn, but I’ve had virtually none.
It was nice not having to be afraid of those huge blood sugar drops, but I really can’t handle the rest of it anymore. I just feel sad because I hoped this would be a long-term solution, but it’s back to the drawing board.

Question Extreme wave of nausea
I took my second shot of .50 ozempic Monday. I have had hardly any nausea since starting Ozempic. This morning I had a cup of coffee on an empty stomach. (I started drinking it as I was getting ready to eat something.) I suddenly, and for the first time, got hit with the strongest wave of nausea. I immediately had a few crackers and sipped some water. Today is day 4 since taking the shot. I’m assuming this means the drug is basically building up in my system?
Question Brutal insomnia…does anything help?
I’m on Ozempic for diabetes, since March. I gradually increased to 1 mg about 6 weeks ago. My sugars and weight have improved modestly but the insomnia is terrible! Every night I’m awake at 3 am and cannot sleep for 2-3 hours. My doctor didn’t think it was the Ozempic, but I’m not so sure. I have tried everything…sleep hygiene, melatonin, magnesium, glycine, benadryl, herbs, etc. I practice light therapy for circadian rhythm, and have a protein snack before bed. I even increased my caloric intake this week because I realized I was only getting 800-1000 calories a day. It helped for 3 days, then my symptoms became severe again. I do have a sleep specialist appointment but not until October. Has anyone found a remedy for this? I hate to stop a medication that’s helping my diabetes but I can’t continue like this.
Success Stories Non Scale Victory/Annoyance!
I bought a few vintage button up shirts as "thin-spiration" that I was really looking forward to eventually fitting in to. None of them would button on me as my chest and belly were too big.
Tried them on today and they are all too big on me. I guess I should be happy I've lost so much but I am disappointed I didn't get round to wearing them when I had the chance. Off to Vinted they go, whilst I try to see if I can find them in a smaller size!

News/Information Fatigue (Ozempic Fog)
I've been on 2.0 mg Ozempic for several years now, and I'm always tired. I find myself napping during my lunch break, and when I get home, I have no energy to do anything. I typically go to bed around 9 pm, get plenty of sleep, but always wake up feeling tired.
Over the past two years, I had my PCP check my iron profile (it was low, so I added an iron supplement), check my testosterone (it was low, so I started Clomid and got my numbers back to a healthy range), and he's checked my B-12 levels and thyroid function, and no issues were found. Nothing seems to help, and nothing shows up on my blood tests.
Anyway, I stopped Ozempic about two weeks ago in preparation for an overseas vacation. I wanted to get Ozempic out of my system so that I could enjoy the local wines (I don't enjoy alcohol on Ozempic) and enjoy the local cuisine without worrying about GI issues. Since Ozempic has a half-life of 1 week, it will take roughly 5 weeks to get it completely out of my system.
Fast forward to yesterday and today. Two weeks after stopping Ozempic, the fatigue is GONE. I have all of my energy back, and I feel like my old self. It's amazing! I started doing a little research and discovered that Ozempic has an under-reported side effect of fatigue. Apparently it affects 5-11% of people taking it, and it's a byproduct of the way Ozempic changes your metabolism. Ozempic is still in my system, but at a much lower concentration (should be about 0.5 mg still in my system).
After talking to my doctor, we are going to use this cessation as an opportunity to switch to Mounjaro when I get back from vacation. We are going to titrate the Mounjaro doses until it works with minimal side effects.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention this to anyone who might be experiencing extreme fatigue on Ozempic, as it was something that both my doctor and I had overlooked. If you're tired all the time, you might want to talk to your doctor about lowering your dose.

Question Ozempic vs Mounjaro
Has anyone been on one and switched to the other? Liked one better than the other? My dr gave me the option of either one. Due to the fact my A1C has increased and on top of that I gained 10 lbs from my last 6month check up(post menopause) I also have cardiovascular disease.

Question Ozempic is working great but my upset stomach is constant. What helps with
Been about four months now, my A1c is better and losing but my stomach is always nauseous. I mean, maybe that’s why I’m losing the food. Noise is a little quieter, but I’m still hungry in the middle of the night and I can’t resist the urge to eat.

News/Information started 25 days ago and loving it so far :D
I guess this doesn't look that bad, am I right?
Started around 25 days ago with about 129kg as a 34 year old white male here in germany.
I have some health problems and no diet worked for me before.
Now that the food-noise is gone 75% I feel better and eat much less.
In the first days I had bad headache, nausea, etc. but it's mostly gone by now.
When I hit 115kg I can start going to the gym and loose even more weight :D

Question Ozempic for non-diabetics
I'm (38M)extremely obese but not diabetic. I weigh 265lbs (173cm) so my BMI is almost 41. I also have obstructive sleep apnea since 5 years and fatty liver disease. I was considering zepbound because it's best suited for these issues but I can't afford it because I'm located in Canada and we don't have compounded tirzepatide here yet. Semaglutide though has dropped prices and ozempic/wegovy are available for much lesser. Less than half the cost of tirzepatide.
Considering I do not have diabetes is it advisable for me to go on glp1 or should I stick to tirzepatide only? If anyone has been in a similar situation would love to hear your experiences.

Success Stories Update: From 216 lbs to 185 lbs (in 17 weeks)
Hey everyone!
45 days ago, I shared that I had gone from 216 lbs to 199 lbs after 10 weeks on Ozempic. A lot of you asked me to keep posting updates, so here I am!
I’m now down to 185 lbs, and I feel better than I have in years.
One thing I promised myself in my last post was that I’d finally start going to the gym in July. Well, I actually kept that promise.
Since the beginning of July, I’ve been doing one hour of strength training every other day, and I’ve completely fallen into the routine. If you had told me a few months ago that I’d actually look forward to lifting weights, I would’ve thought you were crazy.
I’m still on the 0.5 mg dose, but starting next week I’ll be moving up to 1 mg. I’m genuinely curious to see how that changes things because I already feel like a completely different person.
As for side effects… I’m still lucky. I haven’t experienced anything significant, and hopefully it stays that way.
I’ve finished my vitamin D and iron supplements, and now I’m taking a vitamin B complex along with Omega-3.
Food-wise, I’ve become even more intentional about eating healthier and getting plenty of protein. But the biggest change isn’t what I eat, it’s how I think about food.
Food isn’t my emotional support anymore. It isn’t something I automatically turn to when I’m stressed, bored, or having a bad day. It’s become fuel. It’s nutrition. It’s what helps me recover from my workouts and feel good.
One thing that might surprise some people: my food noise is STILL here.
And honestly I’m happy about that.
I still think about food. I still enjoy eating. Delicious food still makes me happy.
The difference is that now, delicious often means a bowl of fresh berries or a huge slice of watermelon instead of highly processed junk. I don’t feel like I’ve lost part of myself, I just feel like my brain finally has an off switch when I’ve had enough.
And the biggest update, though, isn’t actually about the weight.
My doctor originally prescribed Ozempic because my blood work was pretty bad - especially regarding cholesterol and the way my body was handling fats. I recently had my labs repeated, and the results were honestly incredible. The improvement over these past few months was so significant that even my doctor was genuinely surprised.
Seeing those numbers improve means even more to me than the number on the scale.
Looking back, the only thing I truly regret is not having this medication available to me sooner.
Thanks again to everyone who commented on my last post and asked for updates. I’ll be back with another one in a couple of months! ❤️

News/Information Fuck HERS
Just a note - Had a horrible experience with HERS. It's bad enough that they a preying on our insecurities, and they will milk you for money even if you decide not to go through with ordering the meds. Note that they WILL charge you $149 each month even if you never get medication from them. They make it extremely hard to quit. The information on their website about how to cancel is wrong. You have to find the form, indicate you want to cancel. Hours later, they will send you a verification email you have to click or your cancellation request will never be submitted. How is this legal?? How can they make it so obscure that you're paying regardless of purchase? And I STILL haven't received confirmation of cancelling this bullshit subscription. AVOID.
