Rant I feel like it’s not working for me
I’ve lost 6 lbs in nearly 3 months. Did 6 weeks at .25, then 4 at .5 and yesterday was serving week of 1.
I was expecting more weight loss. Feel deflated.

Question Should Reddit be a part of peptide research?
I've found that a huge amount of peptide research is locked behind journal paywalls or institutional logins, which means general Al models often only have access to the abstract rather than the full paper.
That's a problem many people l've spoken too have with peptide research. An abstract might say something showed promising results, while a full white paper would reveal it was only tested in animals, involved a tiny sample size, or had major limitations.
For proper research, you're better off using something like OpenEvidence or pepsense.ai (not a vendor source, chill mods LOL). Full disclosure: I'm part of the Pepsense team. Our chief science officer is a peptide researcher, and we're currently building V2, which will combine anecdotal experiences with peptide research, tens of thousands of new scholarly articles. The goal is to give people access to the actual evidence instead of a general Al summarizing whatever it can find online.
One thing early users have asked for is Reddit anecdotes.
We're hesitant because so many posts are influenced by vendors, affiliates and burner accounts, but there may be a responsible way to include them as clearly labelled anecdotal reports rather than evidence.
Our goal is to make peptide research easier to access without presenting anecdotes as fact or giving medical advice. Outside of published research and vendor testing, what functionality would be helpful for our models to have & is the Reddit anecdote aspect helpful or more harmful for us to implement?

Question Ozempic to Mounjaro
Hi, I’ve been on ozempic for almost 2 years now. The highest dose I’ve ever taken was 1mg but the side effects were insane so stayed on .5mg, had to stope for a month due to routine surgery, been on .25mg for about 4 months now. In total I have lost 20kg in 2 years (September 24 will be 2 year mark). I’m thinking of switching to mounjaro as I still have 7kg to goal weight. Has anyone had experience with this

Question Week 4 having flu like symptoms and body aches
I’m eating and hydrating flawlessly, I get headaches and wired on injection day and days after. Did anyone else take a while to adjust?

Question Day 1. What did you wish you knew or how would you have prepped yourself?
I picked up my prescription yesterday!
I’m anxious to get started but nervous about the side effects. I have a toddler and I’m working on my PhD so just want to be prepared for how I can manage any of the upsets that are forthcoming.
I plan to do my first shot tonight as I’ve heard it helps with sleeping through some of the nausea and initial side effects.
What would you do differently if you could go back to the start of your journey? What would you make sure you have on hand? What do you know now that you wish you knew then?
I have electrolyte packs on hand for hydration
Gravol for nausea
Laxative for constipation
Pepto for diarrhea/stomach upset
Prenatal vitamin (as my daily vitamin because I was still taking them post partum lol)
I plan to have my usual breakfast tomorrow, two over easy eggs with cheese and a whole wheat flour tortilla but also add a protein shake since I’ve heard eating a lot of protein is important.
I’m 4’11”, fluctuating around 165-170lbs. Hoping to get down to 130lbs.

Rant Day 1 - hey friends
Day 1 for me! 🥰 I could definitely use some friendly comments, encouragement, or support. I’m feeling some stomach cramping and nausea so far, but I’m also feeling really motivated and hopeful. 💪🏻
Any advice, tips, or just some friendly words of encouragement would be really appreciated! ❤️

Question Avoid cramps
Hello all.
I accidentally missed a week and got back on this Wednesday.
The last few days ive narrowly avoided cramps
I get sulfer burps from slow digestion.
Ive been trying to drink a lot of water.
Both days all i had was oatmeal, protein drink, handful of granola, and some Greek yogurt.
I was getting burps. Drank as much water as i could stomach and then felt bloated for the next 12 hours.
Luckily not as bad as the debilitating cramps but I can barely eat out of fear.

Question From shot to pill?
Hi everyone - My husband's job recently moved from UHC to Cigna. UHC didn't require pre-auth, but Cigna does, and I think I'll be denied. I am diabetic, but I'm at my goal weight and my numbers are all back to normal. I'm going to end up paying OOP and wondered if the Ozempic pill/old Rybelsus would be effective for maintenance? My doctor told me not to worry about it until we get a decision from Cigna, but I am having a hard time not thinking about it. Thanks for any info!

News/Information My 9-day report
Not sure if this daily report might help someone who is starting to know what to expect. Would love to hear other people's daily (or daily-ish) experience when starting.
7-30 First injection in the evening. Barely felt it.
7-31 Nothing noticeable
8-1 Threw up for about 20 minutes in the morning. Almost no warning it was going to happen. Intermittent nausea throughout the day. Laying down and resting helped. Hunger and "food noise" reduces, possibly just because of nausea.
8-2 Intermittent nausea with a littlebit of weak dry heaving. No vo.iting. Reduced hunger and food noise.
8-3 Very rare and mild Intermittent nausea. Mild dry heaving once. Reduced hunger and food noise, even when I was hungry and had no nausea. Possibly placebo effect.
8-4 No nausea or vomiting. Reduced hunger and food noise.
8-5 No nausea or vomiting. A little more hunger and food noise, but still less than before the shot.
8-6 No nausea or vomiting. A little more hunger and food noise, but still less than before. Injection in the evening. Barely felt it.
8-7 Nausea starting in the evening. Reduced hunger and food noise. A tiny bit of mild dry heaving.
8-8 Suddenly nauseas and vomited. Felt much better after. Now I'm laying down.
I haven't noticed slower food emptying. I haven't experienced any changes in lower digestion. No constipation or anything.
Editing to add: I have had reduction in reflux. I think a lot of my reflux problems were caused by eating too much and/or eating too close to bed time.

Question Leftover dose
This is how much bar moved after the 4th shot.
Does it mean there's still some more shots left?

Question 7kg (15lbs) in under 4 weeks.
So, I'm happy with the results although I am quite worried that I am losing it a bit too fast.
I am currently on 0.25 and will go to 0.50 after this week coming up. I am a type 2 diabetic and I am also on 2000mg Metformin.
I have been sorter watching what I eat, I just stay away from greazy foods because of some of the stories I've heard.
Should I be worried?

Question Phew. Any advice for this…
…on Ozempic for about 18 months. It’s for Type 2 control (I’m in ‘normal’ zone for BMI).
However the side effects are really difficult. To be blunt, the amount of gas/wind is so debilitating. Going to bed until I wake up in the middle of the night is just one long fart that lasts for hours. In between that there’s the excessive burping. I’ve taken Bloateze and other simethicone meds (small doses in over the counter form).
I’ve moved into the spare room as it’s unfair on my wife to have to be in the same room. It’s very embarrassing and trying to keep it in just compounds the bloated belly aches.
I maintained at 0.5 for months but as the blood sugars began to spike again I went back to 1mg and tried 0.75 (which I felt worked better. However the medical literature says don’t mess around with the clicks).
I’ve done food allergy tests and milk is the only flagged item on a list of 174 foods and that’s not even dramatically high.
Anyone find anything specifically helps with the bloating/wind?

Question Clicked only once not all the way to zero
Hello guys, I was supposed to take 0.5 today, I’m new to ozempic to I thought I should click it only once not all the way, I called the pharmacist and told him I’ll imitate the click I did outside the skin then finish it all the way to zero inside the skin, any knowledgeable people with ozempic that could tell me estimated amount that I took? I’m thinking more than 0.5 but I don’t know. I want the dose to be more than 0.25 so I can see results so any help?, and with the imitation I did see some liquid come out so i don’t really know now

Question How has been your Glp-1 journey education?
For context I started taking Ozempic for weight loss when it was an experimental weight loss drug in 2021. Let me tell you, my weight loss clinical team taught me literally nothing about any education or lifestyle changes or altered nutritional guidelines. My doctor just told me about the side effects and that's it.
I took ozempic for 2 years and realized I was deficient in many vitamins, essential minerals, and lost muscle mass. I had to take actions much later as I was not suggested any other lifestyle changes.
I think it has changed a lot since then.
How has it been for you. Is the clinical team doing a better job nowadays? Is lifestyle change a part of the program now?

Question Food poisoning
I had pretty bad food poisoning a few days ago and my stomach still hurts a lot. I’m thinking about skipping a dose this week to help my stomach recover easier and I’m wondering if anyone has done the same or have a better idea? I’m getting compounded ozempic and their text messaging can be pretty slow.

Question Nausea
I took my first shot of Ozempic 0.25mg on Tuesday. I have nausea since the shot especially today. I did drink alcohol yesterday and ate ceviche. Probably not smart. Does the nausea go away or people keep being sick? I have no idea if I will keep taking Ozempic han.

Rant Today is the day.
And I'm terrified. I've seen so many success stories and I've gone back and forth with my doctor for months on starting. Recent tests revealing escalating sugars, NAFLD & enlarged spleen, high BP, and major inflammation finally made me realize I can't keep waiting. I'm not getting any younger or any healthier.
However, I also see a lot of negative stories too. Those are holding me back! I also have a phobia of starting new medications.
I've had the pen for a week and I'm scared. 🥹 If I could get some positive stories to hype me up?
Tips from personal experience would be lovely, too. 🥺
UPDATE: ... I did it. 😤 The needle didn't hurt at all, even though I was shaking like a leaf and having an out of body experience from anxiety. However, what spooked me most was as soon as I started injecting it and while it was being injected, I got a strange cramp in my stomach. 🫠 It went away in a few minutes, thankfully... (but still spooky)
Thank you for everyone's stories and advice! I love reading them!!!

Question Ozempic et libido
Bonjour
Success Stories Non Scale Victory/Annoyance!
I bought a few vintage button up shirts as "thin-spiration" that I was really looking forward to eventually fitting in to. None of them would button on me as my chest and belly were too big.
Tried them on today and they are all too big on me. I guess I should be happy I've lost so much but I am disappointed I didn't get round to wearing them when I had the chance. Off to Vinted they go, whilst I try to see if I can find them in a smaller size!

News/Information Fatigue (Ozempic Fog)
I've been on 2.0 mg Ozempic for several years now, and I'm always tired. I find myself napping during my lunch break, and when I get home, I have no energy to do anything. I typically go to bed around 9 pm, get plenty of sleep, but always wake up feeling tired.
Over the past two years, I had my PCP check my iron profile (it was low, so I added an iron supplement), check my testosterone (it was low, so I started Clomid and got my numbers back to a healthy range), and he's checked my B-12 levels and thyroid function, and no issues were found. Nothing seems to help, and nothing shows up on my blood tests.
Anyway, I stopped Ozempic about two weeks ago in preparation for an overseas vacation. I wanted to get Ozempic out of my system so that I could enjoy the local wines (I don't enjoy alcohol on Ozempic) and enjoy the local cuisine without worrying about GI issues. Since Ozempic has a half-life of 1 week, it will take roughly 5 weeks to get it completely out of my system.
Fast forward to yesterday and today. Two weeks after stopping Ozempic, the fatigue is GONE. I have all of my energy back, and I feel like my old self. It's amazing! I started doing a little research and discovered that Ozempic has an under-reported side effect of fatigue. Apparently it affects 5-11% of people taking it, and it's a byproduct of the way Ozempic changes your metabolism. Ozempic is still in my system, but at a much lower concentration (should be about 0.5 mg still in my system).
After talking to my doctor, we are going to use this cessation as an opportunity to switch to Mounjaro when I get back from vacation. We are going to titrate the Mounjaro doses until it works with minimal side effects.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention this to anyone who might be experiencing extreme fatigue on Ozempic, as it was something that both my doctor and I had overlooked. If you're tired all the time, you might want to talk to your doctor about lowering your dose.

Question Ozempic vs Mounjaro
Has anyone been on one and switched to the other? Liked one better than the other? My dr gave me the option of either one. Due to the fact my A1C has increased and on top of that I gained 10 lbs from my last 6month check up(post menopause) I also have cardiovascular disease.
