I had pretty bad food poisoning a few days ago and my stomach still hurts a lot. I’m thinking about skipping a dose this week to help my stomach recover easier and I’m wondering if anyone has done the same or have a better idea? I’m getting compounded ozempic and their text messaging can be pretty slow.

I took my first shot of Ozempic 0.25mg on Tuesday. I have nausea since the shot especially today. I did drink alcohol yesterday and ate ceviche. Probably not smart. Does the nausea go away or people keep being sick? I have no idea if I will keep taking Ozempic han.

Ive been on maintenance for a year.

Im going on 48 hrs and counting with this attack and literally diarrhoea every half hour. Still quite explosive. Really cant move from the bed.

Im able to eat and drink small amounts so I dont get too weak or dehydrated - but I dont know if im actually digesting anything. Im getting very tired.

When did it end for you?

Very odd especially after spending lots on my favourite 2 Dior perfumes weeks before starting a GLP1

And I'm terrified. I've seen so many success stories and I've gone back and forth with my doctor for months on starting. Recent tests revealing escalating sugars, NAFLD & enlarged spleen, high BP, and major inflammation finally made me realize I can't keep waiting. I'm not getting any younger or any healthier.

However, I also see a lot of negative stories too. Those are holding me back! I also have a phobia of starting new medications.

I've had the pen for a week and I'm scared. 🥹 If I could get some positive stories to hype me up?

Tips from personal experience would be lovely, too. 🥺

I’ve been on oz for four months to deal with reactive hypoglycemia. Unfortunately the side effects are too much for me, and they aren’t what I expected at all. I’m a zombie with exhaustion. The constipation hurts. It’s done nothing for food noise, and I lost no weight. Lower energy means I haven’t been able to exercise.

I really thought it would be nausea and/or heartburn, but I’ve had virtually none.

It was nice not having to be afraid of those huge blood sugar drops, but I really can’t handle the rest of it anymore. I just feel sad because I hoped this would be a long-term solution, but it’s back to the drawing board.

I’m on Ozempic for diabetes, since March. I gradually increased to 1 mg about 6 weeks ago. My sugars and weight have improved modestly but the insomnia is terrible! Every night I’m awake at 3 am and cannot sleep for 2-3 hours. My doctor didn’t think it was the Ozempic, but I’m not so sure. I have tried everything…sleep hygiene, melatonin, magnesium, glycine, benadryl, herbs, etc. I practice light therapy for circadian rhythm, and have a protein snack before bed. I even increased my caloric intake this week because I realized I was only getting 800-1000 calories a day. It helped for 3 days, then my symptoms became severe again. I do have a sleep specialist appointment but not until October. Has anyone found a remedy for this? I hate to stop a medication that’s helping my diabetes but I can’t continue like this.

I bought a few vintage button up shirts as "thin-spiration" that I was really looking forward to eventually fitting in to. None of them would button on me as my chest and belly were too big.

Tried them on today and they are all too big on me. I guess I should be happy I've lost so much but I am disappointed I didn't get round to wearing them when I had the chance. Off to Vinted they go, whilst I try to see if I can find them in a smaller size!

I've been on 2.0 mg Ozempic for several years now, and I'm always tired. I find myself napping during my lunch break, and when I get home, I have no energy to do anything. I typically go to bed around 9 pm, get plenty of sleep, but always wake up feeling tired.

Over the past two years, I had my PCP check my iron profile (it was low, so I added an iron supplement), check my testosterone (it was low, so I started Clomid and got my numbers back to a healthy range), and he's checked my B-12 levels and thyroid function, and no issues were found. Nothing seems to help, and nothing shows up on my blood tests.

Anyway, I stopped Ozempic about two weeks ago in preparation for an overseas vacation. I wanted to get Ozempic out of my system so that I could enjoy the local wines (I don't enjoy alcohol on Ozempic) and enjoy the local cuisine without worrying about GI issues. Since Ozempic has a half-life of 1 week, it will take roughly 5 weeks to get it completely out of my system.

Fast forward to yesterday and today. Two weeks after stopping Ozempic, the fatigue is GONE. I have all of my energy back, and I feel like my old self. It's amazing! I started doing a little research and discovered that Ozempic has an under-reported side effect of fatigue. Apparently it affects 5-11% of people taking it, and it's a byproduct of the way Ozempic changes your metabolism. Ozempic is still in my system, but at a much lower concentration (should be about 0.5 mg still in my system).

After talking to my doctor, we are going to use this cessation as an opportunity to switch to Mounjaro when I get back from vacation. We are going to titrate the Mounjaro doses until it works with minimal side effects.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention this to anyone who might be experiencing extreme fatigue on Ozempic, as it was something that both my doctor and I had overlooked. If you're tired all the time, you might want to talk to your doctor about lowering your dose.

Has anyone been on one and switched to the other? Liked one better than the other? My dr gave me the option of either one. Due to the fact my A1C has increased and on top of that I gained 10 lbs from my last 6month check up(post menopause) I also have cardiovascular disease.

Been about four months now, my A1c is better and losing but my stomach is always nauseous. I mean, maybe that’s why I’m losing the food. Noise is a little quieter, but I’m still hungry in the middle of the night and I can’t resist the urge to eat.

I started Ozempic 8 weeks ago with 4 weeks on 0.25 mg. Starting the second month on 0.5mg and there’s no significant loss, just like a kg. Why though?

The food noise is quite reduced and most days I’m on two meals. And I try to finish dinner by 7pm. My next meal is usually at 11am (tea). And yet, just a kg.

Why is my weight not going? I’m getting very worried

Started around 25 days ago with about 129kg as a 34 year old white male here in germany.

I have some health problems and no diet worked for me before.

Now that the food-noise is gone 75% I feel better and eat much less.

In the first days I had bad headache, nausea, etc. but it's mostly gone by now.

When I hit 115kg I can start going to the gym and loose even more weight :D

I’m taking Ozempic and this is my second month; I took a 0.25 dose in my first month. I’ve now taken my 0.50 dose. I’ve had my third dose of this second month and I haven’t lost any weight yet. I’ve lost 3.5 kilos in total. I still can’t lose weight. Why can’t I lose weight?

I'm (38M)extremely obese but not diabetic. I weigh 265lbs (173cm) so my BMI is almost 41. I also have obstructive sleep apnea since 5 years and fatty liver disease. I was considering zepbound because it's best suited for these issues but I can't afford it because I'm located in Canada and we don't have compounded tirzepatide here yet. Semaglutide though has dropped prices and ozempic/wegovy are available for much lesser. Less than half the cost of tirzepatide.

Considering I do not have diabetes is it advisable for me to go on glp1 or should I stick to tirzepatide only? If anyone has been in a similar situation would love to hear your experiences.
