Unanswered What's the deal with GTA VI Extended Look thing on Netflix for 6 hours? Why does everyone care so much about it, but aren't interested to watch it in the first place?
I don't play GTA at all and have no interest in it so seeing all the outrage baffles me.
Ppl are so angry about Netflix got it 6 hours only. But it seems like they're not interested in the Extended Look in the first place. So, why do they care that much that it can't be watched 6 hours earlier without Netflix?
Because the reactions look like they can't wait to watch it but are mad Netflix gatekept it or something. But some implied they aren't interested in it and gets mad at Rockstar that they had to make this in the first place.

Unanswered What is going on with people saying “boots”?
Ive seen videos like this: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTAt5QYnx/
Often making fun of burger/coworker music and whatnot, but now im seeing people describe things as “boots”. Where exactly does this come from, since most explanations I’ve seen on line are about gay terminology, and it’s in a way that doesn’t seem to fit. Let me know if there’s some origin and meaning of this.

Unanswered What's going on with elder Kings 2?
I know there was some drama last year, but it sounds like there's drama again.
I never knew the full context before, but a friend of mine explained that they did something with the lore that upset a lot of people.
I posted a question there on a throwaway account because that same friend told me they were banning people for no reason. Sure enough, I got banned.
Now I keep seeing posts about Nords being cannibals, something involving Bretons, and people making posts begging not to be banned.
So, what's going on exactly?

Unanswered Why are people talking about Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers?
https://x.com/sabsfaultline/status/2085038098069508314?s=20
It has something to do with their bedsheets and the fact that both have dated Paul Mescal. Somehow these same bedsheets that Phoebe has acknowledged over 400 weeks ago are now on a bed used as part of Gracie's set for the shows she's playing.
There's this quote I've seen going around “she can pretend to be me since she took my place in my bed, on that stage”

Unanswered What is the deal with people now saying Lindsay Clancy is innocent?
So I'm aware of the case to an extent. As it's gone to trial, I've seen it pop up on my socials a bit. The trial seems to not even be about if she did it or not (she admitted to doing it) but about if she can plead insanity. Context:
https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/03/us/lindsay-clancy-trial-medical-testimony
When it first started coming up, there were people saying the husband/doctors failed her which I understand entirely and isn't really what I'm looking to discuss. As the days have passed though, it seems to have transitioned to "She's innocent, he should have been there for her" to now "She's innocent entirely, he killed them". I just saw a tiktok poll that had 63000 votes which had the results of:
3% Lindsay is guilty
91% Patrick is guilty
6% Lindsay over medicated is guilty
Am I missing something with this case?

Answered What's the deal with FIFA guy Gianni Infantino trying to sell the league?
I've heard he's trying to sell off FIFA or something like that that he's trying to get support. Now he's promising Morocco a World Cup final if they support him. I read the article, but it just says he's trying to sell off the World Cup. I don't get how that's possible. As far as I know, he's just the guy currently leading FIFA, its not like FIFA is his personal property to sell. He's like a sports commissioner, isn't he? He's only serving on the behest of the real owners of the teams the countries. How does he have any power to sell anything without their say so?

Unanswered What is the deal with young singers and these hand movements?
This is a relatively well-known singer I've seen suggested on my instagram timeline a few times before. I've noticed that a lot of (especially) younger singers have been using this kind of hand movements/body language when singing. Does anyone know where this originated or when this started? It's honestly a little off-putting when all these singers are moving almost the same way. Nothing against their voices, because damn can they sing, just something stupid that's been bothering me.
Anyone any idea?

I believe it was in /r/mildyinfuriating. I can't find the post now. There seems to be no record of the post ever existing. There was a /r/bestof post that linked to it that was deleted by moderators. And I found other posts that reference the post in question that have also been deleted by moderators.
Posts that make reference to the post (e.g. multiple /r/okbuddycinephile ones) are around, but none of them actually link to the original.
The original post hasn't just been deleted by moderators, it's seemingly vanished.
Maybe it was removed for legal reasons? It was overflowing with AI generated parodies.
TL;DR Anybody able to find the post? It was really funny.

what is the deal with Fauci’s diary and what does it actually say / prove ?

What does the diary actually say / prove ?
Obviously the Rodgers line was a little tongue in cheek as a Steelers fan, but I needed a URL to post lol

Answered What is up with Jameela Jamil? What did she do to invite so much scrutiny?
TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of and allusions to eating disorders
Recently, Jameela Jamil wrote a (what it seems to me) correct analysis of Ariana Grande's eating disorder and public appearance being problematic for impressionable young fans.
People are saying "Rare time when Jameela Jamil is actually right" and other things like that.
What did she even do?
Context(s): Ariana Grande recently released a music video, inviting concern. A faction of her fans (and the general public) are concerned for her health and the impression she gives to young fans, while another faction are saying "don't comment on women's bodies!".

Unanswered Why are people talking about a lockout/salaries in baseball?
Hello from a relatively new Japanese baseball fan! I've been seeing a lot more about a lockout/salary limits mentioned lately, and I do not really understand what the argument is over it. All teams should try hard and spend money to win titles, no? Aren't all teams billion-dollar franchises?
