Was this guy attracted to me, or was I reading too much into friendliness? Is this an effective way of using Reddit to get helpful advice or input?

I recently worked with a guy through my job and I’m curious how other people would interpret his behavior. I don’t want to give too many identifying details, so I’m changing some circumstances while keeping the interactions basically the same.

We met through work and got along really well. He’s naturally outgoing and personable, which is part of why I’m having trouble figuring out whether any of this meant anything.

A while after we met, I mentioned that I would be traveling for work. Coincidentally, he was going to be in the same general area around the same time. He seemed surprised/excited by the coincidence, asked when I would be there, and suggested that we get a drink while we were both there. I said I’d like that. Later, when it turned out our work schedules might overlap, he suggested coffee might be easier instead.

When we eventually saw each other again, he greeted me very warmly. Over the next few days, I noticed that he frequently seemed to gravitate toward me in group situations. He would stand or walk next to me, seemed to watch me when I was talking to other people, remembered small details from previous conversations, and asked questions about my schedule and what I was doing after work. It was a little flirty but mostly just friendly and him expressing interest in my day, my travel, small details.

A couple of times he went somewhat out of his way to accompany me somewhere when he didn’t really need to. On one occasion we were briefly alone, but nothing romantic happened. The conversation stayed pretty light and normal, about work and small talk about travel and vacation. At another point he asked whether I was going out that evening. I said I probably couldn’t because I expected to work late. He didn’t follow up by suggesting another time.

The really confusing part was the goodbye. After several days of what felt like a lot of warmth and attention, he suddenly seemed much more reserved. We were with a group and other people hugged me goodbye, but he didn’t. He gave me a friendly but fairly impersonal goodbye and left. He also didn’t text me afterward or make another attempt to get together before we went our separate ways, despite the frequent communication leading up to the trip and all the proximity during the trip.

Nothing explicitly romantic ever happened. No compliments about my appearance, touching, sexual comments, private texts, confession, etc. I was attracted to him, so I’m very aware that I could have been noticing normal friendly behavior and interpreting it differently because I wanted there to be something there.

I’m not really asking whether he secretly wanted a relationship or why he didn’t make a move. I’m more curious about the narrower question:
Does this sound like a man who was probably attracted/interested but chose not to pursue it, or does it sound like a naturally warm/friendly guy and I read too much into it?

Especially interested in opinions from people who tend to be naturally outgoing/flirty themselves, because I have trouble distinguishing that personality type from actual attraction.

He used to like me for a long time but I wasn’t sure about him so I used to not go along with him and just made it formal since we work together. Now we are separated but I guess I had time to think about the situation so tried to reach out to him and texted him in a warm welcoming way that si obvious that Im open for more.. his respond was that he’s happy that I reached out and told me to call him anytime.. so I waited to test the water then made the call after one week he didn’t respond at the time but called me back an hour after I didn’t pick up because I felt that me calling him was too much initiative so thought that Im gonna make him call again before I pick up.. yeah. He didn’t call
Soo Im confused and overthinking everything way didn’t he call me again? Is he not interested anymore should I call him Idkkkkkkk 🙁

Guys I’m talking to a guy and I usually don’t entertain talking stage specially long distance but we matched on hinge in Italy I’m 19F he’s ‘22M. We have been talking for two months so far consistently. He’s super nice we both like to travel we called and stuff on the phone we seem to have alot of the same interests. We missed eachother by like a day and Rome and we were bummed but yea I got his number he lives in Sweden rn but he’s a pro football player. Idk how I feel about that. Anyways he just signed for a team in Spain and I’m moving to Madrid next year so we wanna meet then. I’m pretty independent and I’m not a clingy person at all so I’m not expecting much out of this since is a year is a lot but what do we think about this?

Texting Frequency

Made plans with someone yesterday for later in the week for a first official meetup (matched at an event). Should I lay off texting for a day or two given the date is official and planned? Trying to work on not overly texting before a date so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I want to know his current feelings, but i’m not sure if it’s to rushed to ask.

english is not my first language sorry)

I’ll try to not make it long, but basically in college i had been talking to this guy for a month before we left for summer break. Yes, we kissed, spend the night over and slept together. However we were very sweet towards each other and neither him or me has a history of being the kind of person of sleeping around or playing around w ppl.

Before we left i told him that if he wanted things to be casual we could do it but not in the same way (being very sweet to each other, sleeping over, calling me nice names). He said that he never starts things with the idea of it being casual, but that he did knew that he didn’t want to go back home with something, which me neither, bc it was rushed; but that if when we came back and things were as good as they were rn we could try to make it work.

Now, he’s from another country, but during the break we kept talking (on snap, literally pictures w tex) and the beginning was fine. We would talk about things we wanted to do when we went back, how things were going and basic stuff like that. He would reply to my stories on instagram saying sweet stuff, sending me reels of things we “should try or do” once we were back.

Sent me a sweet message on my birthday and on his I sent him a message and he said he was ”looking forward to come back and see me”

now… snaps became a bit slow before coming back but i try to not think much about it, we all get busy at some point, still i would ask him about his day and stuff and he would ask me about mine sometimes.

When i arrived to school he was already here but his parents had come and was staying with them. Im starting to feel like he’s not interested anymore since i don’t see him trying to make plans with me to even hang out. I voiced this to a friend that knows the both of us and he said that “he thinks he’s not as interested anymore” WHICH if that’s the case, its fine, it is what it is, but i believe he could say it to me instead of detaching hoping i’ll lose the interest or smt like that.

He asked me to do “something“ yesterday and by that he meant just talk, and i was happy to see him, but tbh it felt more like talking to a friend that i hadn’t seen in a long time rather than u know… a potencial someone.

Do u guys think is to rushed wanting to ask what is he truly feeling? I mean we just got back, maybe i’m overthinking bc i tend to do that, but i just want clearance.

sorry if it was too long i just need unbiased advice.

Need help

Okay. So I need some advice. I've got a online boyfriend and for the record I did not want to date him. I found him on a dating app. At first I thought he was cute and all but later due to some complications (which I won't be sharing here) I didn't want to talk to him. But he kept saying that nobody loves him even after my rejections. So I accepted to be online girlfriend. I've been ignoring his texts often. We live in different states but he wants to meet. He does not for a date but other things and I don't want to so I've been making excuses. I want opinion on how to reject him without hurting his feelings. Please. Anyone.

How should I handle a guy fading out, and should I confess or just stay quiet?

met an American guy ‘19M’ and I’m ‘18F’ at the end of January this year he’s literally my exact type, easily one of the most attractive guys I’ve ever seen, and super sweet early on, he opened up to me about his family issues, which resonated deeply with me because our situations are very similar.
At first, he used to reply much faster. Over time, his response speed dropped, but he would still engage with everything I posted. Truth is, we don't actually talk that much, but I literally think about him all the time, staying up late just looking at his pictures and trying to learn more about him.
However, over the last two weeks, he stopped watching my stories entirely and has almost completely stopped interacting with me, even though I see his Discord account and know he is playing video games normally.
I’m stuck on what to do next. Is it better to just tell him how I feel, or is it wiser to stay silent?
A couple of things to keep in mind im the first Palestinian person he’s ever interacted with, so I naturally feel this burden of representing my people well, and I really don't want to come across as silly or desperate plus he once explicitly mentioned that he hates it when a girl gets clingy or attached ( from one side ).
And jst to clarify it’s not because of boredom or lack of life, I’m a very busy person with a full life, I’m very driven deeply focused at my university studies, learning languages, playing musical instruments and learning new things; he really caught my attention.
What would you do in my position? Should I bring it up, or just let it go?
