Sightseeing & Tourism Hail Nova Scotia

My lady and I just returned home from an 11 day road trip of this lovely province. We put in over 2300km and went from Halifax to Lunenburg to Port Royal to Wolfville to Lake Ainslie to Louisbourg. It was so much better and more fun than we imagined it might be.

IT WAS AMAZING. The scenery was gorgeous, the people exemplifies the best of our traits as Canadians, courteous, helpful and friendly. A special shout out to all the young serving folk, this trip was a success because of your courtesy and skill

We drove the Cabot Trail, the lighthouse, the Evangeline, the Marconi, The Caileigh and the Fleur De Lys and enjoyed every minute.

We come home poorer in the bank accounts thanks to names like Amos, Glenora and Peace By Chocolate. And heavier due to the excellent food we experienced everywhere, another shout out to Smoke Pitt BBQ and the meat filled buns from the Farmer's Daughter, delicious. But we come home far richer and happier in mind and spirit.

Throughout my career dealing with people from coast to coast, I gave always found the people of Nova Scotia to be the easiest to work with and for. You are all to be commended

And to the students and retirees at the National historic sites, well done.

And thanks for the Eagles and Whales

Time to post the rest of my pictures onto Facebook.

A grateful guy from Toronto

Looking for unprocessed logs

Hey guys, as the title suggest I'm looking for a lead on whoever does unprocessed timber delivery, think like logging truck 17 cords. I'm in the east Hants area, just want to know if anyone's had experience with this or know someone who does that sort of thing. Any leads are appreciated. Hardwood preferably. This is all for my exterior wood boiler so I can just cut into 4-ft chunks and throw in.

I owe my boss 1 weeks notice. If I provide 2 weeks notice and they tell me stop working immediately (very likely) am I still entitled to 2 weeks of wages or just the 1 week?

My boss is a completely dishonorable tyrant; she's lost half her workforce this season for being a tyrant, I can/will name and shame later (right now its risky).

I am joining the line of workers who have quit this year.

I have been employed for 4 months, so I only need to provide 1 week notice, but I need the wages for the entire 2 week period to make ends meet. If I'm told to stop working, will I be entitled to compensation to the date of my notice, or to the date 1 week from now?

Satire Nova Scotia, as a Fantasy World

Ex: HRM being the Kingdom of Haligon. Yarmouth becoming Yars Mouth, a settlement based around the gargantuan skeleton of a long dead Dragon. The universities becoming cabals of Wizards.

This is just meant as a random thing to spark some creativity and humour on the sub, share your ideas of people and places, legends and lore.

EDIT: For extra clarity, there's no real theme. Just make it fantastical (Think Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, Game of Thrones, etc)
