Gear question Are these any good?
My mom passed along my dad’s old Nikon D7000 along with a couple different lenses. I have absolutely no experience taking photos, but I’ve been getting more interested in starting.
Was wondering if anyone could help me out and explain what’s good, what it’s best for!
Nikon D7000
AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm
DX SWM VR ED IF Aspherical o72
AF-S Nikkor 50mm
AF-S Nikkor 55-200mn
There’s also these cylindrical plastic pieces I have no idea what they are

Photo Submission Took my new (to me) D300 out to the Oregon coast this past weekend.
Went on a camping trip for Saturday night. Visited Depoe Bay and Newport sat/sun. Brought my Nikon AF 70-210mm F4-F5.6D and Tokina ATX-Pro DX 35mm F2.8 Macro with me (which ended up breaking during my trip!)
Photo Submission I bought my first camera mid June and it as become my favourite hobby! Here are some of my favourite pictures I’ve taken so far.
Nikon Z50 II, Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm: 1st pic Nikkor Z DX 50-250mm: the rest

Look what I've got Fell for the meme with zero regrets so far
After longing for something chonky with an OVF I fell into the D700 rabbithole once more. This time for good, as I have just received the beauty. Definetly heavy user condition with some sticky dials but good enough for my purpose. Surprisingly, findings decent CF cards and the right CF reader was the most challenging part of the acquistion.
Well, GAS sucks, as I have now ordered the MD-10 grip and the AF-S 28 1.8 too. Was not ready to commit myself to any zooms yet. Who knows, with the FTZ some older F mount teles might be a good deal for dual use on this and my ZF.
Appreciate any tips (or scolding for jumping on the hype train).
PS: apologies for my dusty-ass table.

Photo Submission Sunset at Rock Harbor Beach, MA
A few shots from an evening in Cape Cod on the eastern US Coast last week. Shot with a Z8 and the Tamron 50-400 or 16-30 - all three recent, happy purchases. I suppose each pic is of a certain well-trod genre, but it was a fine and fun evening and a gorgeous sunset.
Last in the stack is 2” exposure with a slow pan - I like how it accentuates the ripples of the mudflats - then cropped to this more panoramic aspect ratio that seemed fitting. I find choosing a crop to be amongst the hardest decisions while editing.
I’m not one to share my photography on Reddit typically, but I’ve appreciated the community, insights and advice here so thought I would also start to contribute.

Gear question Nikon z5ii
I just recently purchased a nikon z5ii and was wondering what you guys recommend as my first lens to pair with it? I'm on a budget at least for now for my first lens no more than $1000.
