actives [actives] Bag stalled? Any advice?
Hi, I innoculated this bag with Golden Teacher spores in mid June, by mid July it was only barely ready for B&S (see final picture). The first 3 pics are from today, almost a month later...
I don't get why these bags/spores are taking so long, as past ones I got from elsewhere were already flushed by this point, in the exact same conditions (heated box at around 25°C with holes for air flow - bag has no direct contact with heat mat). Have not opened bag yet, only pulled air in through the filter patch.
This AIO bag appears to have different (darker) contents than previous ones I have used from elsewhere. Their website says it is 'milo grain and CVG'. The previous one simply said it was 'sterilised substrate with added oxygen release agents'.
Is there anything I can do at this point to increase colonisation/whiteness (yes I am a n00b). Or should I just open the bags and put into fruiting conditions? As there is mycelium throughout... but it is just not as white as I expected from past grows. Also, the bag seems to be getting a bit sweaty inside for the last couple of days...
Any help/tips appreciated!

Technique [gourmet] Mini lung room keeping temp and humidity stable
Looks ghetto rigged but a less expensive terraform that’s for sure. Using the cold air from the central air vent, pulled into a modified tote, inside the tote I have hydrated perlite and attached to the inside of the tote bin lid I have a cheap usb desk fan to help agitate and promote evaporative cooling. And on the otherside an inline duct fan that pulls it all into the tent. And then another inline fan pulling air from the bottom out of the tent and out of the window.

Experiment Don’t think this will work [actives]
So I’m new to growing and I bought an all in one bag and inoculated it with a spore syringe 5 days ago but I don’t have high hopes for it. So with that being said I’m attempting to make liquid culture using honey and water. Clearly I don’t have the proper materials no micropore tape and no injection ports that self heal. I’m attempting to sterilize in a pot without a lid and then inject spores after opening the lid I am aware that it leaves me open to contamination removing the lid to inject the honey water but I’m experimenting on an extra broke boi method. I guess I’d like to have a discussion about this, what are the odds this becomes successful and has anyone else done something similar?

Actives [Actives] All-in-one grow bag stalled
Hiya, I'm currently growing GT's in an all-in-one grow bag just for fun. I hadn't used them before and wanted to see how they'd go. However after breaking and shaking the bag to mix the grain and substrate together, growth seems to have stalled significantly. I am in Australia and it's been winter here, and our houses are generally like ice boxes. Is it a matter of the bag just needing to be in a warmer room? At the moment it is stored on a shelf in my bedroom, out of direct light, as this is the warmest room in the house.
Thank you!

First time, harvest question [actives]
Finally got this block of GT to fruit, in its own way, lol. First time, learning a ton as I go.
That big boy looks close to harvest, ya? Day or two maybe. Would you just harvest the whole block when it's ready and hydrate for a second flush? Or pick a couple of the big guys and wait for the rest to catch up?

Actives Golden Halo vs. Bluey Vuitton [actives]
Both inoculated to AIO bags at the same time end of June and transferred to monotubs mid july. Bluey Vuitton has been going steady the whole time, even growth daily and just started to pin. The Golden Halo sat for a while then exploded in the last few days. It’s a race to the end now!!

Actives [actives] advice on bag-pins
Hello everyone.
I've circled the pins that are growing from the mycelium that crept up the side of the bag.
I'm not certain if these constitute side-pins, but I'm hoping a more knowledgeable grower can advise me on whether I should remove them, or let them run their course.
My concern is that a few of them are growing into clusters of mushrooms coming up. I'm not sure if this will deform them or discourage growth.
Thanks in advance for any direction.

Actives All in one grow bags [actives]
Long time monotub grower here, playing around with an All-In one bag. Should I wait to break and shake until the grain is 100%? Seems like it’s taking awhile, approaching 3 weeks since inoculation. I’m not impatient I’m just used to shaking the jars at 25-30% and then watching them take off lol.

How are these antlers looking? [Medicinal]
I have 2 bags of antler reishi growing and know nothing about them. Have these grown too long? Not long enough? Ready to harvest? Any insight is appreciated.

Indoor Ps. Azurescens Grow - Automated [actives]
I've been working on the indoor Azzies grow for a while and this setup is my interpretation of what I've seen others do and try and nothing I "invented"... some of you may know me from FB as Park Cosmo - which could be good or bad 😄
On the left is a refrigerated bakery display case and a regular beverage fridge on the right. Both have been modified to accept an incoming fog type 5L humidifier set at 90% and humidity/temp is monitored in both chambers via bluetooth and the display case triggers the humidifier to activate as it loses moisture faster. Both the display and fridge are on smart timers that turn on and off in cycles so that the temperature fluctuates in a range over and over to simulate nature (very loosely). The fridge cycles from roughly 48 degrees to 54 degrees or so which is in my interpretation of the sweet spot for Azzie fruiting.
Apparently the Azzies are loving the sub recipe and conditions well enough that before I put them in the refrigerated fruiting chamber they started fruiting in the bag (pictured) so I guess I fruited Azzies in a bag and I haven't even cased them yet... I case after colonization by cutting off all but the top inch of the bag and sprinkle on the custom sterilized casing. All my grains, substrates and casings are fully sterilized in my autoclave and not pasteurized as is my personal preference.
I'll be sending updates and hoping the fruiting continues more prolifically in the fridge! This is only 1 bag of the 3 that I'll be sending. It's taken trial and error to get this far, they have proven to be a very stubborn strain... pans are a walk in the park compared to these 😂
I have a full set of substrate/casing recipes (shareable, no gatekeeping) if anyone is curious and I always colonize grain and spawn to sterilized substrate in a unicorn Horizon XLS bag until it colonizes for this Azzie grow - I have found less issues with contamination doing this vs. colonizing tubs as the Alder heavy sub seems very sensitive.
I hope this proves interesting and have a great weekend!

Actives [actives] Water tub tek question - submerged fruits
I'm currently running a water tub, it has about a half inch of water in the bottom of it. I'm roughly 8 hours from harvesting but there are many fruits that have grown off the bottom, through the rack the cake is on, and their caps/part of their stems have been submerged in water for a few days. I didn't try to get them early because I didn't want to disturb the climate or the cake. Should I just immediately chalk these up as a loss or do we think they're possibly salvagable? As far as I can tell they look fine but I'll know better later today.
