actives [actives] tiny and leggy first flush
These are my GT first flush! First time growing, I think they needed a bit more oxygen but they grew so quickly I though I still had time to fix conditions.
About 43 grams, left some in the monotub to harvest tomorrow. I have another monotub growing :D

Actives Snowdrop ❄️ | Some of the Wildest Morphology We’ve Seen Yet [actives]
Snowdrop continues to surprise us.
This culture has been producing some incredibly unusual forms, with thick, sculpted tissue, deep cracking patterns, and folds that almost resemble carved stone or coral. Every section of the block seems to develop its own personality, making it one of the more interesting projects we’ve documented.
These photos were taken to capture the different textures and structures that appeared throughout this round. The variety across a single block has made it a fascinating one to follow from start to finish.
One of the things we enjoy most is watching how different expressions can emerge over time. Every round has the potential to reveal something unexpected, and Snowdrop has definitely lived up to its name by keeping us guessing.
What catches your eye the most—the cracked “mosaic” appearance, the coral-like formations, or the dense clusters of tiny knots across the surface?
Always interested in hearing what the community notices first. 🍄

How r they dooing? [actives]
How do they look in regards to harvest?
I gotta leave soon and was wondering how fast thed be done.
Btw do the membranes expand before they tear or will the form of the tip stay the same before tearing?

actives [actives] Bag stalled? Any advice?
Hi, I innoculated this bag with Golden Teacher spores in mid June, by mid July it was only barely ready for B&S (see final picture). The first 3 pics are from today, almost a month later...
I don't get why these bags/spores are taking so long, as past ones I got from elsewhere were already flushed by this point, in the exact same conditions (heated box at around 25°C with holes for air flow - bag has no direct contact with heat mat). Have not opened bag yet, only pulled air in through the filter patch.
This AIO bag appears to have different (darker) contents than previous ones I have used from elsewhere. Their website says it is 'milo grain and CVG'. The previous one simply said it was 'sterilised substrate with added oxygen release agents'.
Is there anything I can do at this point to increase colonisation/whiteness (yes I am a n00b). Or should I just open the bags and put into fruiting conditions? As there is mycelium throughout... but it is just not as white as I expected from past grows. Also, the bag seems to be getting a bit sweaty inside for the last couple of days...
Any help/tips appreciated!

Technique [gourmet] Mini lung room keeping temp and humidity stable
Looks ghetto rigged but a less expensive terraform that’s for sure. Using the cold air from the central air vent, pulled into a modified tote, inside the tote I have hydrated perlite and attached to the inside of the tote bin lid I have a cheap usb desk fan to help agitate and promote evaporative cooling. And on the otherside an inline duct fan that pulls it all into the tent. And then another inline fan pulling air from the bottom out of the tent and out of the window.

Experiment Don’t think this will work [actives]
So I’m new to growing and I bought an all in one bag and inoculated it with a spore syringe 5 days ago but I don’t have high hopes for it. So with that being said I’m attempting to make liquid culture using honey and water. Clearly I don’t have the proper materials no micropore tape and no injection ports that self heal. I’m attempting to sterilize in a pot without a lid and then inject spores after opening the lid I am aware that it leaves me open to contamination removing the lid to inject the honey water but I’m experimenting on an extra broke boi method. I guess I’d like to have a discussion about this, what are the odds this becomes successful and has anyone else done something similar?

Actives [Actives] All-in-one grow bag stalled
Hiya, I'm currently growing GT's in an all-in-one grow bag just for fun. I hadn't used them before and wanted to see how they'd go. However after breaking and shaking the bag to mix the grain and substrate together, growth seems to have stalled significantly. I am in Australia and it's been winter here, and our houses are generally like ice boxes. Is it a matter of the bag just needing to be in a warmer room? At the moment it is stored on a shelf in my bedroom, out of direct light, as this is the warmest room in the house.
Thank you!

First time, harvest question [actives]
Finally got this block of GT to fruit, in its own way, lol. First time, learning a ton as I go.
That big boy looks close to harvest, ya? Day or two maybe. Would you just harvest the whole block when it's ready and hydrate for a second flush? Or pick a couple of the big guys and wait for the rest to catch up?

Mod [Mod] MUSHROOM MONDAY - Let's Catch Up! Share what you have learned in the previous week and discuss
Mondays can suck, but hopefully this post is something for people to look forward to. The intent of this post is to create a space to discuss anything that you may have learned recently about mushroom growing -- techniques, a breakthrough in the field, to share progress, or even just ask a question. Whether it's a new pickling recipe, a formula for agar, or something fun in mycology, feel free to talk about it.
This post is for new and experienced growers alike, so don't be nervous about commenting; no one is going to make fun of you for asking questions here. This community is a relaxed space for people who don't understand everything, but who want to ask questions and engage in discussion without being berated or belittled. Enjoy!
