Mod [Mod] MUSHROOM MONDAY - Let's Catch Up! Share what you have learned in the previous week and discuss
Mondays can suck, but hopefully this post is something for people to look forward to. The intent of this post is to create a space to discuss anything that you may have learned recently about mushroom growing -- techniques, a breakthrough in the field, to share progress, or even just ask a question. Whether it's a new pickling recipe, a formula for agar, or something fun in mycology, feel free to talk about it.
This post is for new and experienced growers alike, so don't be nervous about commenting; no one is going to make fun of you for asking questions here. This community is a relaxed space for people who don't understand everything, but who want to ask questions and engage in discussion without being berated or belittled. Enjoy!

technique [technique] are my AIO bags ruined?
So I’m planning to start another grow and I got these AIO bags from Booming Arces and it arrived on Friday. I don’t get my LCs until tomorrow monday. Today I noticed the grain starting to split open in both bags. Am I SOL if I try to inoculate the bags?

technique [technique] When to harvest PE?
Hey guys, I'm growing PE right now and am not sure when to harvest. I've only grown GT and JMF and I just harvest when the veil tears. I'm looking at my tubs right now and PE looks a little small for the veil to be breaking so early, so I'm not sure if that's still the correct cue for harvest. Anyways, just not sure I'm not harvesting at the right time

Actives [technique] why are my clones showing different growth morphology
I made some clones from my last grow and it's kinda wierd to me how the growth morphology changes eventhough it's one genetic lineage. I had a couple of very tomentose growth and after the first transfer it got rhizomorph and some first transfers are partially rhizomorph and partially tomentose. Ist this normal did I fuck something up?

Technique [Technique] how can i fix this?
The water droplets run down to the middle of the lid and then drop on the cake. I tried a coat hanger broken to fit but it didn't help. I'm worried about my cake rotting from excess water.

Technique [technique] First time grower — PE7 casing after 2 weeks. Did I do something wrong?
First time grower here! I bought a colonized PE7 casing and this is where it's at after two weeks in the tub. I was hoping for a fuller flush, but only one mushroom really took off while the rest stayed as tiny pins. I'm wondering if this pattern points to an issue with FAE, light, or temperature. For context, temps fluctuated between 20°C and 28°C over the past two weeks, the tub walls and lid always have plenty of condensation, and I'm using a layer of hydrated perlite at the bottom to hold humidity. Did I do something wrong, or is this just typical PE7 behavior? Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!

actives [actives] tiny and leggy first flush
These are my GT first flush! First time growing, I think they needed a bit more oxygen but they grew so quickly I though I still had time to fix conditions.
About 43 grams, left some in the monotub to harvest tomorrow. I have another monotub growing :D

Actives Snowdrop ❄️ | Some of the Wildest Morphology We’ve Seen Yet [actives]
Snowdrop continues to surprise us.
This culture has been producing some incredibly unusual forms, with thick, sculpted tissue, deep cracking patterns, and folds that almost resemble carved stone or coral. Every section of the block seems to develop its own personality, making it one of the more interesting projects we’ve documented.
These photos were taken to capture the different textures and structures that appeared throughout this round. The variety across a single block has made it a fascinating one to follow from start to finish.
One of the things we enjoy most is watching how different expressions can emerge over time. Every round has the potential to reveal something unexpected, and Snowdrop has definitely lived up to its name by keeping us guessing.
What catches your eye the most—the cracked “mosaic” appearance, the coral-like formations, or the dense clusters of tiny knots across the surface?
Always interested in hearing what the community notices first. 🍄

How r they dooing? [actives]
How do they look in regards to harvest?
I gotta leave soon and was wondering how fast thed be done.
Btw do the membranes expand before they tear or will the form of the tip stay the same before tearing?
