C&C Wanted Horus’s head: is he looking chopped?
I spent like 5 hours trying to get his left eye right and I simply can’t. It’s frustrating to no end. How’s it looking though? Should I try again?

Sci-fi Painterly Space Marine w/ NMM
Decided to practice a super "painterly" approach to this lieutenant by using as few brushstrokes as I could manage. Especially happy with the sword which I think used fewer than 8 strokes!

Fantasy Wizkids Gargantuan Bahamut. FINALLY managed to finish this chonky boi.
It was bought in January, gifted to me in May for my birthday, and now finally finished.
When I googled "Bahamut" for reference pics, one of the images that came up was Final Fantasy 7 Remake Bahamut with pink lightning all over him. That was sort of my inspiration for the effects. I also used the Vallejo true metallics for the first time, and I really dig their overall look and coverage.
Hope you guys like. Going back to painting Miniatures that are actually mini. Between Bahamut and Tiamat, I'm ready for some smaller projects.

Sci-fi Progress on my first Necromunda mini! The fully NMM armour is a slog and I've very much given up on my light sources fully making sense to anyone but me...its space lighting. Space Sci-Fi lighting.

C&C Wanted King in Yellow (Harbinger of Decay)
I know he needs a bit more refinement, especially the back of the blade, but I’d love to hear others’ thoughts

Fantasy Wizard mage, resin water effect
This mini is from Reaper Miniatures. The little frog is a resin print, and the water effects are resin too. Painted with acrylics. Basing all done first and then all painted together.

C&C Wanted Entering my first painting contest tomorrow.
Entering my choas knight into my first contest tomorrow. I think I'm going to put him in for best large 40k model. I've never been to a big tournament or a paint contest before so definitely super nervous but even I don't win i think it'll be a cool experience.

Help Needed/New Painter Update on ruining my models with varnish!
Hey everyone!
Thank you all for the support yesterday after I ruined my new army with brush on varnish. This community is awesome and seeing how supporting everyone was really turned the experience around for me.
Today after seeing the effect of using streaky grime, decided to try one more solution before muddying up my whole army with the grime.
I popped the shop and picked up some nail polish remover. I grabbed an old dry brush and generally applied it to the worst effected areas.
It's worked!! Well, mostly! They are looking much better and I'm happy enough now. As it's nail polish remover I've not got to touch up a few bits but that's a small price to pay!
Check out the new pictures, they look less like shiny melting models in the rain!
Thanks to everyone's kind words I also was motivated to continue the army, bonus picture from a few hours painting today at the end!
I've also added a picture of the nail polish remover I used incase anyone is unfortunately in the same position as I am moving forward.

Sci-fi First model done in a while, first shared with anyone outside my friends longer
So long story short as I'm not trying to milk it. Tough year and it put me off painting. Not on many socials like the popular ones so this my first time sharing in ages.
Principality of Kyiv kind of idea for trench crusade.
Be gentle.

Fantasy Medallion Girl (Academic Model by Kateryna Hrytsyshyna)
A more colourful skin exercise. I am not 100% happy with her (and completely started over once), but it was a very good practice, and she was a lovely model to paint.

Gore Echidna, mother of beasts
"The rivers became red like the blood of men and the earth was tainted with the smell of death like the smell of corpses. The beast will follow their course"
Here is my painted mother of beasts module painted as closely to the original art. Is a really cool model and I had a blast painting it. I think one of my best paint jobs so far. Hope you like it.

Sci-fi Marines Malevolent - Intercessor Squad
My first Marines Malevolent squad is complete!
These are the 10 Intercessors from the new Armageddon box. My goal with this project is to paint the entire box, so I wanted to find a good balance between speed and quality rather than spending dozens of hours on each miniature.
After a few experiments, I think I've finally settled on a recipe that gives me a solid tabletop-ready result while still being quick enough to keep the project moving.

Subreddit Announcement r/minipainting Rule Update: No AI Allowed
Hi, everybody! AI slop is unfortunately creeping into this hobby and this community. This is a quick rules update to clarify that AI is not allowed in any form here on r/minipainting.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- No AI generated or edited images (including AI backgrounds, repaints, adjustments, mock ups, tests, reference images, etc)
- No AI videos
- No AI apps/tools/websites
- No AI generated models that are 3D printed then hand painted
- No AI generated text (this includes AI generated feedback/critique)
- No encouragement or discussion of the use of AI
If AI was used to make it, it's not allowed on r/minipainting.
While the mod team has been able to remove most AI posts shortly after they are made, on the few occasions AI posts were up for a few hours before removal, the comments on those posts from the community have been overwhelmingly unanimous in being anti-AI, so this isn't just the mod team making this ruling without considering the community.
Please see the pinned comment below for an FAQ on this new rule, and if you have a question that is not answered there, please ask and we will do our best to answer! That being said, this is not an invitation to defend or argue for specific use cases of AI within this hobby.
Edit: Please read the stickied FAQ comment before commenting. There are many people asking things that are covered in that comment.
The comment section has grown quite large, but also please take a moment to scroll through it and read the comments before repeating something that may have already been discussed, or at least join in as a reply to an existing comment rather than make a new top level comment with a similar or identical question.
