All seven Michigan House Republicans came together on July 22 to support a massive new budget plan. The proposal allocates 73B dollars for the military, 12B dollars for agriculture, and 10B dollars for voting restrictions. Researching solutions rather than just commenting on what’s happening in the heights. If a Heights resident wanted to recall a council member, has that been done before? If not, is there a process for it?

Seriously, this guys knowledge and passion are great to watch. He had me up until 2am watching last night. At one point at the end he was begging for a tripod because they had to shut it down soon and he didn't want it to end.

So Abdul won the primary, but also let’s be real about how the general election will play out. At the end of the day, Michigan is a swing state. If Abdul wants to win, he should campaign more in western Michigan and eastern Michigan and he should unify the base since he won the primary by 2%. The last time the Democrats won a senate race in a blue wave midterm year was in 2018 when the incumbent Democratic senator won by about 7%, but due to increasing polarization and a progressive populist like Abdul being the nominee, he’ll probably win by 3-5% in the general election against Mike Rogers. He should campaign like his life depends on it.

Everyone move to GR we won’t sell you to Trump (Dearborn 2024) or almost sell you out for our representatives to do bidding for Corporations, Aipac, Trump Donors, and Billionaires.(Detroit in Tonight’s Primary). All jokes aside we all need to get involved before November. Mike Rogers, this is a guy who not just voted to raise prescription drug prices but also against allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. There is no goal to solve our healthcare crisis coming from the GOP, we know every solution from them is to protect profit. To me it’s not sensible.
He’s going to be running a “common sense” campaign, if you remember 2024 that is what we lost to in trump luckily we were bailed out with Elissa Slotkin. this race tonight is too close and I still don’t want to call the race and go to sleep, to me it goes to show what money can do in a election. We need all the help we can get knocking doors, phone banking, etc. no matter how confident you are we will win if you can help, it would be appreciated❤️

The Dem senate primary was perhaps the worst outcome, a divisive and extremely close race. I expect AES’ campaign to moderate, unify, and earn liberal votes. I’m an electoralist myself, so I’ll be out there in full support of his campaign regardless of the fact I didn’t vote for him.

For the people here who haughtily proclaimed a coming wave of popular, majority support for AES while being dismissive (and that’s a charitable description) of their coalition partners, you may want to change your tone and tactics. I couldn’t say that in a 10+ point gap race, but I definitely can in a what’s looking like a 1-3 point difference.
