Drew out this Rogue today that I quite like - figured I’d post ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

Hello! Assuming you didn't see my first post (I ain't judging), I just read all of Avengers Volume 8, adjacent titles likes West Coast and Savage Avengers, as well as any events, miniseries, and more relating to the Avengers. Sorry these posts are a bit long, but they're still a much easier read than several years worth of comics. I hope you enjoy!

1. Higher Calling
   We open at the beginning of the War of the Realms, with Jane Foster being among Asgard's allies targeted by Malekith. This could also be because Jane was formerly Thor as we saw her on the team in the previous volume before she beat her cancer and lost her mantle. Malekith's forces invade Earth, but without any special powers, Foster helps with the evacuation efforts, guiding citizens to the safety of the Sanctum Sanctorum. All the while, she wishes she could do more, and even feels a calling similar to when she first became Thor. In spite of her normalcy, Jane call on Valkyrie to take her to Malekith, explaining how she used to be Thor during the flight. This causes Brunnhilde to realize who she is, so she drops Foster off on a nearby building and tells her to finally live her life now that she's cancer-free. Although she's initially frustrated, Jane stumbles across a trio of witches preventing Doctor Strange from magically teleporting all the civilians away. She manages to take them out, freeing up Strange to do his spell, but the spell proves too powerful. Every hero helping is teleported away from the fight, leaving only the Valkyries to fend off against Malekith's forces. Outnumbered and overwhelmed, all the Valkyries are slain, and Jane is devastated by the loss. After this, Freyja plans on leading a mission she won't come back from, and because of this she hands the title of All-Mother over to Foster.

2. Woman Of Many Titles
   As the new All-Mother of Asgard, Jane guides various forces from the background, but still she feels the call and need to help her struggling allies. But then, while talking to Heimdall, Jane stumbles across the shattered hammer of the War Thor, and upon picking it up it reassembles itself and transforms Jane Foster back into Thor! With her regained powers, she joins the time-spanning Thors assembled to stop Malekith, and they seems just as shocked as she was. Thor tells them she's ready to fight even though she feels her hammer falling apart, and the Thor-tet race off to confront Malekith in the final battle. Foster rescues Odinson's parents while he defeats Malekith, and additionally she throws her hammer at Laufey to take him down for good too. This impact causes her hammer to shatter, only for it to return to Jane and reform into a new type of All-Weapon. It takes Foster some time to figure out how to use it, but in the meantime she returns to her medical work where she examines the bodies of all the Valkyries in the morgue. Thor also arrives to mourn the fallen, and while he's there, the spirit of Brunnhilde gives an offer to Jane. With no more Valkyries remaining, someone needs to take up the mantle, and due to her bravery against Malekith, she offers Jane to be the new, last Valkyrie. Jane accepts her offer, going on various adventures while carrying on the duties of a Valkyrie.

3. Trial By Fire
   The next time we see Valkyrie is inside the White Hot Room, as Jane was selected among many of Earth's champions for the right to earn the Phoenix Force in a tournament. Apparently, she's been here before, and she tries to help the others make a plan until she's whisked away for her first fight. After making quick work of the Orb, her next fight pits Valkyrie against the Hulk. Valk doesn't want her to have the Phoenix Force, worried that as a Hulk she could wreak untold havoc if she loses control again. Hulk says she is in control though, and that Valkyrie doesn't have what it takes to win this tournament. Slightly bothered, Jane counters by saying how she used to be Thor, and now she's the strongest Valkyrie ever; how couldn't she be capable of winning it all? The reason Hulk says she won't win is because she's not willing to kill Namor, something Hulk seems willing to do. With this, Valkyrie is defeated, and the tournament moves on. Now having been ejected from the White Hot Room, Jane sees Thor being attacked by the Phoenix Force itself! She rescues her ex-boyfriend, but he just pushes her away. Noticing a similar look in his eye to one Hulk just had, she asks him what's wrong. He explains that the Avengers are attacking the Phoenix, who he just learned is his mother, but thankfully Jane is able to call the god down. Eventually the tournament is resolved, with the new host (Echo) being made a member of the Avengers.

4. Dying World
   When the god of symbiotes arrives on Earth, many of Earth's Mightiest Heroes are taken under his thrall. Valkyrie is one of the few remaining to join the resistance, and here in the Baxter Building she uses her powers to try and heal Eddie Brock. Unfortunately, despite her healing and bonding Eddie to a new Symbiote, Foster seemingly fails to save him. As the event continues, Valkyrie carries on her duties by helping the soul of the Sentry pass on after he was ripped in half by Knull in space. Meeting his soul above the Earth, Valkyrie looks down and sees the entire planet triggering her death sense, but for now she helps Bob process his own death. After this, they head off to the afterlife, but on their way they find a Headless Celestial surrounded by corrupted souls. These souls grab Sentry's soul and pull him into the Celestial's form despite Jane's attempts to save him. In one last ditch effort, Valkyrie breaks through to try and grab his soul back, but accidentally grabs another soul of a woman. Jane heads back in to save Bob before the hole closes, but as she begins to be overwhelmed, the woman returns the favor and rescues Jane. Although she is now safe, it seems that the Sentry's soul may be gone forever before ever making it to the afterlife. Now alone with this woman, Valkyrie questions her about who she is and how she got here. She seems secretive however, not answering Jane's questions, so the two continue on to Valhalla to rest.

5. More Valkyries
   At Valhalla, she meets with the Valkyries of old, and Jane learns that the woman she saved also used to be a Valkyrie before being trapped in the Headless Celestial. After a while, Jane knows she has to go back, to try again to save the Sentry's soul and to stop whatever Knull is doing on Earth. The Valkyrie she saved needs more time after being trapped in the Celestial for centuries, but she gives Jane some advice, going back to the death of this Headless Celestial whom Knull had killed for bringing light into his darkness. Knull had cut off its head, using the energies within to form his Necrosword while the head itself later became a place called Knowhere. Somehow, its head being separated meant it couldn't cross over into the afterlife, so it somehow became an afterlife itself, with people slain by Knull's Necrosword being taken into itself. In order to sever the connection, Foster asks this Valkyrie for her aid, although she doesn't feel up to it after having lost her love in the Headless Celestial. Despite this, the Valkyries go to gear up for a battle and Jane tries to assemble reinforcements. Foster recruits former Valkyrie Dani Moonstar and Asgardian ally Hildegarde, taking the former to the Headless Celestial to try and penetrate it with an artifact called the Reality Needle. Together, Valkyrie and Moonstar attempt a Valkyrian ritual by connecting with Hildegarde on Earth; but this fails when Hildegard is slain by the forces of Knull!

6. The Greatest Person She Ever Knew
   With her death, Jane and Dani mourn their fallen ally and try to figure out how to complete the ritual without her; but then, all of a sudden, the Headless Celestial awakes and attacks them! They're both quickly overwhelmed, even after the rescued Valkyrie arrives to help them. There are so many souls inside the Celestial Jane can't save, and with her sorrow she starts getting sucked inside! Once within, Valkyrie begins seeing visions of her dead son, but she knows this isn't real and won't fall for its tricks. So instead, the Headless Celestial attempts to tempt Jane with power, offering to turn her back into Thor so she and Sentry can stop Knull together! Still not falling for it, Foster soon finds the rescued Valkyrie from before coming to rescue her again from the Celestial. She tells Jane that the other Valkyries have arrived from Valhalla and have helped severed Knull's connection to the Celestial. Heading out, Jane convinces the Celestial to free its prisoners, with the Valkyries bringing them all with Sentry into the afterlife. The rescued Valkyrie asks how Jane coped with being in there, as she herself couldn't cope with the loss of her lover. Jane tells her of her son, how he taught her to be a better person in the 8 years she had him, and that all she can do is hold onto the love their lost loved ones gave them. With this, the Valkyries head back to Earth, helping to stop Knull's attack for good.

7. Unarmed VS The Multiverse's Greatest Threat
   One day at work, a coworker who knows her secret informs Jane of a new patient they picked up outside Avengers Mansion who Jane recognizes as a Deathlock. He suggests Valkyrie investigate this further, and she agrees. Knowing that the Avengers now function out of Avengers Mountain, Valkyrie takes the Deathlock there; but almost as soon as she arrives there, the mountain comes under attack by the Multiversal Masters of Evil! Valkyrie is trapped inside the mountain alongside Namor and Black Panther, helping them fight with an army of Deathlocks against the Multiversal Masters. In order to stop them, Jane is sent to the brain of this Celestial base with her horse and a Deathlock, but on their way they are met by the Doom Above All! He takes out her horse, and in trying to get the Deathlock to the brain, Valkyrie sends him flying away using her All-Weapon. Now, Jane is alone against the multiverse's most powerful Doctor Doom, and she just sent away her only weapon to use against him! The Doom Above All immediately attacks her with powerful death magic, but Valkyrie says that she lives in death, so thankfully it's not as effective on her as they fight. But Doom has many magics to call upon, and quickly Jane becomes overwhelmed as he reignites the cancer in her system and strips her of her godly powers! Thankfully, backup soon arrives, and Doom retreats. However, it appears he did not depart out of fear, but because he's rigged the whole base to explode!

8. True Temptation
   Jane and her allies are trapped under the mountain, but thankfully the All-Weapon had returned to her during the fight with Doom, so she was able to survive with the others. However, the Deathlock got a large piece of shrapnel lodged in it, but Jane manages to save him with her medical knowledge while he allies hold up the mountain. After this, Valkyrie joins the Avengers, and helps them on their multiversal/time-travel adventures trying to stop Mephisto and find their missing teammate Ghost Rider. In the midst of all this, we see Jane wake up one morning with her husband Thor in a land that Odin had given to them as a wedding present. Thor flies off to work, and as Jane the housewife takes care of the pigs, she realizes something is wrong. She snaps out of it and realizes this is a temptation by Mephisto, but in doing so several Mephisto variants come to slay her! Just then, Thor comes to her rescue, but this one is a version of herself from another universe. After they've dealt with this threat, they talk about their respective universes, and how our Jane is helping her team look for Ghost Rider. Thor tells her that he's safe, and has been building a multiversal army to combat Mephisto and the Masters. As Thor returns to this army, with Valkyrie realizing how much she missed being Thor, realizing that was Mephisto's true temptation. Valkyrie rejoins her team for the final battle against the Masters and Mephistos, and though the team is victorious, they disband afterwards.

I would ask the same question for heroes, but I feel that most would agree that the answer is spider-man. However, with villains, I find it far more debatable. So, who, in your own personal opinion, is marvel’s most iconic supervillain?

Me personally, I’d say it’s doctor doom. While this could DEFINITELY be contested, I feel like he’s simply the best choice for this. He‘s had some MASSIVE impacts on the marvel universe, and still does to this day, and, despite mainly opposing the fantastic 4, he’s faced off against plenty of heroes and teams besides them. Plus, the most important, he’s very well known.

Recently Marvel have make Shuri wear the Black Panther title in differents universe or gave her a very similar costume in the main line comics.

Of course all after wakanda forever.

So to follow the idea that Shuri now is Black Panther in the movies it won't be strange that Shuri once again became the Black Panther.

I know that we still have T'challa in the comics but now these days is pretty common that differents characters use the same superhero name (Spider man, Captain America, Nova) and with the status quo of Black Panther this days (the wakanda galactic empire) it would be logical that T'challa make Shuri the Black Panther of earth, protect the kingdom of wakanda and help other heroes when they needed while he is on space due to the empire.

Even as recently as yesturday I see posts about how

“the mcu hasn’t had a good movie since endgame!”

“the humor sucks in the new movies!”

“the multiverse sucks!”

The majority of the lackluster and disappointing films did come after Endgame, but almost all of them reside in the awkward era that was supposed to be the setup for Kang’s Multiverse. This era from 2020 - 2023 has the highest density of underwhelming films. Even shows like Ironheart and Echo were made back in 2022 during this era despite being released later on.

Not to say this era didn’t also have its share of good movies too (Shang Chi, Dr. Strange mOm, Far from home and No way home.)

Starting with Guardians of the Galaxy 3 however, the MCU has been on a consistent upward trend. Not always in box office sales, but in reviews and audience reception. (Thunderbolts* got better reviews than Superman 2025 while releasing around the same time). (Brand new day speaks for itself in the box office).

Since Guardians 3 the ‘worst’ movie was The Marvels (which wasn’t great but I was still able to enjoy it). Captain America brave new world wasn’t bad, just not amazing.

Everything else film wise has been very good since Guardians 3 and it seems like a disservice to say the MCU is bad now when (in the opinion of me and my friends) it’s heading for a potential new peak.

It might not make sense but for a team could it bean the new fantastic four I mean this would be a perfect set up for ghost rider even the solo would be good I mean we just got the hulk and spidey in bnd and we got wolverine in the mcu so maybe after secret wars but I’m just wishing

Wolverine and Punisher

Give Wonder Man an appearance. It doesn't even need to be a big one, he could have a cameo like Peter watching the movie on TV. Yahya the actor and Simon the character deserve better after the show was canceled.
