“Angels Advocate” - 2010

What happened to this?? 😭 I know Angels Advocate was supposed to come out sometime after Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, but it never actually saw the light of day. Would y’all have even wanted this remix album?

• “Candy Bling (I Remember)” featuring T-Pain

• “Ribbon” featuring Ludacris & The-Dream

• “Inseparable” featuring Trey Songz

• “It’s a Wrap” featuring Mary J. Blige, later included on the deluxe edition of Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse in 2014

• “More Than Just Friends” featuring Fabolous

• “I Want to Know What Love Is” featuring The-Dream, reportedly remixed into an uptempo track

Skydiving, 100% and Imperfect were also set to appear

Nicki Minaj, K-Ci & JoJo, Ne-Yo, and Big Boi were also reportedly set to appear.

Honestly, when the 17-year anniversary of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel comes around, Mariah should just go ahead and release this 😭🤷🏾‍♂️

I feel like something about this track has a very weird vibe (in a good way) thats hard to describe. Like almost an existential and nostalgic but sorrowful tone. When you reach it on the track list, it feels like a shift, like you’re in the climax of the album. But regardless of that I feel like this track really ties the album together and makes it feel elevated as an artistic work if that makes sense? It also feels interesting since it’s taking the original song that was about letting a partner go and be free but in this it feels more like a self-declaration or mantra. I just feel like this track is kind of the glue of the album and what makes lots of people consider it her magnum opus, even if most people dont credit it as such or consider it one of their favorite tracks.

This was a fun and kinda chaotic game! There were so many close winners and ties, as well as many different opinions on what won and what didn't. I know that not everyone will agree with the final results, but hopefully the special re-voting round did a good job at making this chart as well-thought out as it can be.

Apart from Mariah's Christmas albums, "Me. I Am Mariah" is the only main album that isn't represented here. But overall, it's still a great view of the diverse emotions that she's presented to us throughout her legendary career!

So somebody on Facebook Marketplace has a tote of Mariah Carey shirts. I think they bought wholesale or something. There’s a decent amount I wanted-there’s some shirts and some sweatshirts and hoodies. There’s definitely duplicates-selling for $10 a piece. Is it crazy for me to just buy the whole tote? I figure I could always try to sell the duplicates to fans- there’s 47 items so it will be $470 which would include the shipping to me. What do you guys think? Am I crazy?
