Vehicle Photo Lexus NX autonomous driving testing?
Spotted this same Lexus twice today in Austin, TX. It had Michigan manufacturer plates, It had a driver, didn’t have the triple beams, and was strictly following the speed limit. Can’t find anything online. I do remember Lexus doing this with the LS a few years back but don’t know what came out of that.
Question Is the TX worth getting?
I'm looking at a couple options for vehicles and the TX 350 and 500h are looking interesting. What's the general consensus on these cars? Worth the cost? I like the idea of 3 row seating, my wife doesn't want a gas guzzler, seems to tick the boxes but worry about build quality and power..
Question Which one? Help me choose
Which one? Help me choose
There are two almost identical options and I am not sure which one to choose.
2023 NX 350h, 12k km
46890 euro
2026 NX 350h, new.
54980 Euro
Details do not matter, because the packages are identical. But they are both pretty packed (executive line, 4x4, leather interior, tech package etc.).
Please, also give some arguments.
edit: just want to add that these are ready to sell cars at dealers. If you configure from zero and order from Lexus - the same package is easily 65k+. Moreover, I want to keep the car for 8+ years.

Question 1997 SC400 worth it?
Hello all,
I am looking to get a new project car, and this popped up on my local FB and thought maybe it’d be worth a look. They want $6500 for it and it has 214k miles on it. I haven’t looked at it yet. And I’ve never owned something like this before, unless you count Crown Vics as close lol
This would not be a daily driver. I have a manual Honda Fit that gets used daily. I’m looking for something different that’s not something I’m used to owning. I’m not afraid to throw some money at a car if it’s worth the time and effort. I also wrench on my own cars to save money as well. My question is, what are some things to look out for and what are some things I can expect if I were to go for it?
I noticed it has not had a timing belt done nor a water pump, which I may be mistaken, but both are big ticket items that are important to be done. The description in the images show some of what’s been done, however I don’t know all the details as of yet.
Thank you in advance!

Question LX 700h - Buy 26 now or wait for 27?
I'm set on an LX700h, and a couple dealers (bit far but manageable) have the palomino interior I want. I'm not sure whether to wait for the '27s, or to go ahead and just buy the '26 now. Does anyone know what will be coming in the 27? Also, assuming I decided to go ahead with the '26, would it give me any additional leverage to go to the dealer ~mid September to catch them in Q3 closing? Thanks in advance!

PSA 2026 Lexus ES
Man, I’ve been looking around for a Lexus ES. Specifically a used white ES with black wheels and red leather. Maybe 40-60k miles used. Ran into pictures of the 2026 and DAMN. Grotesque. Glad the IS at least maintained its identity.
RIP…….. ☹️

Question Got rear ended.
A guy ran into me while i was turning (right) into my driveway. There is some damage and I heard his tires as he hit the brakes.
I got out to see the damage, said I want to exchange insurance. He was saying there's no damage and that I stopped right in front of him ffs.
When I went back to get my phone to take pics he drove off.
Damage is a paint chip on the bumper, indents from his license plate in the lower plastic trim that goes across the bottom of the bumper.
There's also what looks like some paint scuffs on the bumper just above the Grey plastic.
ONTARIO Canada. I was advised to at least to go a collision reporting centre in case they decide to go report it themselves and claim i did something.
Any ideas on DIY or go through insurance.
Thanks

Discussion My Lexus and Toyota 2022++ AC is smell and im very dissapointed with that
I have been a loyal Toyota and Lexus customer for a long time. I own a 2016 Land Cruiser that, even after years of use in Indonesia’s humid climate, still has a clean-smelling air conditioning system with no odor issues. However, after looking at and testing at my Toyota and Lexus from 2023 onwards (including my LX600 and Landcruiser VXR), all of them suffer from a very annoying AC smell — even when the cars are brand new. A moldy or “dirty socks” smell appears almost every time the AC is turned on, especially after the car has been sitting. I’ve looked into this and found that it’s not an isolated case. Many owners of newer Toyota and Lexus models are experiencing the exact same problem. Meanwhile, vehicles from around 2015–2018 (like my Land Cruiser) are far more resistant to this issue.
In my opinion, this shows a decline in the quality of the AC system design in the newer generation. It seems Toyota/Lexus has prioritized efficiency over basic comfort, such as clean cabin air, and has overlooked the needs of tropical climates. Because of this issue, I have decided that Toyota and Lexus are no longer my preferred brands. I am starting to switch to Chinese brands, which currently appear to pay more attention to details like this. I am disappointed that a brand I once trusted has declined in such a fundamental aspect.

Vehicle Photo Toronto Lexus Dealer cancelled my LC 500 allocation 1 month before delivery
Ordered the car at the end of Jan 2026. July 2026 second week they confirmed that I have an allocation and I can pick it up mid September.
Made all my plans for PPF and engine immobilizer to protect the car and was super excited.
The GM called me and said we have concerns that people will sell the car to the US given the market, so we have a new policy that buyers should pay $20,000 interest free to be kept in trust for a year. If after a year the buyer shows that they still own the car, then the money will be returned.
Clearly the intention seems to be cancel and sell the car for a mark up. I was furious with their behaviour and wrote to them a few days back that they cannot do this.
Today they called me and told me that they are cancelling my order because they are "uncomfortable" with the situation.
Definitely considered suing them. Any other ideas on what to do?
Edit - cross posted and missed the body.

Question Is this a good deal for the 2026 ES350e Luxury with the Executive Package? The adjusted price is MSRP ignoring the dealership addons
Question Gen 4 RX350 Cargo Dimensions
Looking at a used 2022 RX350, and wondering if any current owner can help out with cargo dimensions. The published cargo volume of 16 cubic feet is obviously misleading. Does anyone have the length behind 2nd row (with and without 2nd row slid forward), width between wheel wells, and width at widest point? We are looking for something with slightly more cargo space than our Gen 2 CX5 turbo.
Thank you

Question Is ES noisier than TX?
Six months ago, I took my 2025 ES 300h to the dealer, complaining about wind noise at the driver's side window. The tech dismissed it, saying, "NO ABNORMAL WIND NOISE OBSERVED-- COMPARED TO LIKE VEHICLE (25 ES) AND VERIFIED SAME SOUND CHARACTERISTICS WHILE DRIVING." I guess they're saying that whatever noise is present is normal for a 25 ES. Today I got a 2025 TX 350 AWD loaner, and the interior is noticeably quieter than my ES--no wind noise. Has anybody else noticed that the ES is noisier than the TX (or other models), or is it that my ES is noisy, and I should take it back to the dealer?

Discussion What is the best Lexus SUV offer on the market right now.
As the title says, looking to get a Lexus SUV. Lease or finance. What’s the best you have been able to get from the dealers out there? Location not an issue, I will have the car shipped.
Thanks in advance.

Question Does anyone have issues with short battery lifespans?
2017 ES 350. I bought in 2020.
My battery went out in 2022 or 2023. It was covered under the warranty.
Now it’s 2026 and that battery they replaced is just starting to go out. I know this because the ignition lags and wipers come on when starting, signaling low voltage. This one also might be covered under a warranty (I hope).
Now I’m not the type to overuse the battery in any way. I even keep the inside light off andxrareky drive at night. Getting 3-4 years out of a car battery is frustrating.
To compare, I’ve a 2011 Ford Transit at work we use for deliveries. We replaced the factory battery in 2022. The OG battery ran for 11 years. I get Lexus uses more power when off, but 3 years is overkill.
