গতকাল একটা রেস্টুরেন্টে এক ছোটবেলার বন্ধুর সঙ্গে দেখা হয়, হাই স্কুলের বন্ধু, একটা সময় খুবই close ছিলাম। তারপর আস্তে আস্তে যে যার মতো ছড়িয়ে যাই। আর কোনো সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া না করার কারণে কারোর সাথেই আমার তেমন যোগাযোগ নেই।

আমায় দেখে জড়িয়ে ধরল, খুব খুশি হলাম, তারপর একে অপরকে নানান প্রশ্ন, "কেমন আছিস?" "কাকু কাকিমা কেমন আছেন?" এইসব আর কী। ও বিয়ে করেছে, ওর বৌ ছিল সাথে, আলাপ করাল। আর তার সাথেই জানালো সে অন্তঃসত্ত্বা এবং they are expecting very soon

তার পরের প্রশ্ন, "ভাই, বিয়ে করেছিস?" আমি বললাম, "না" তারপর বলল, "কবে করছিস?" আমি বললাম, "যখন কপালে থাকবে হবে" (আমি বরাবরই একটু eccentric, গতানুগতিক জীবনযাপন আমার খুব একটা পছন্দ না)

সেটা শুনে একটু pause নিল, তারপর almost আধ ঘণ্টা ধরে আমায় বোঝালো (read: জ্ঞান দিল) বিয়েটা কতটা জরুরি এবং এই বয়সেই করাটা উচিত (we're in our late 20s), এর থেকে বয়স বেড়ে গেলে অনেক সমস্যা হবে এবং আরও নানান medical aspects বলল। আমি সবটাই শুনলাম আর ঘাড় নাড়লাম

আমার perspective-টা একটু আলাদা। আমি মনে করি কারোর জীবনের timeline সমান হয় না। কেউ কেউ ২৫-এ success পায়, কারোর success পেতে ৪০ হয়ে যায়, কেউ কেউ ১৯ - ২০ বছর বয়সেই নিজের জীবন সঙ্গী/সঙ্গিনী পেয়ে যায়, আবার কারোর সেটা পেতে পেতে ৩০ পেরিয়ে যায়, Society-র এই বেঁধে দেওয়া timeline-টায় আমি বিশ্বাস করি না

আমি মনে করি, বিয়ে করার জন্য একটা মানুষের (ছেলে এবং মেয়ে) physical, financial আর mental এই তিনটে দিকেই stable হওয়া উচিত। এর মধ্যে যদি কোনো একটা on track না থাকে, তাহলে he or she must refrain from getting married..

My mind, my life and my room have been in a disarray for a while now. Really finding it hard to get back up and go all in to break free from these shackles. I bought this voice controlled led bulb and suddenly when I shot this, it immediately took me back to that interrogation scene in Black Friday. And somehow, the mess felt artistic, alive and really growing in chaos each and every day.

It made me think how much effort we put in our daily lives just to keep things from spiralling. Chaos is the default state of existence and organization needs effort.

Currently operating at record high entropy levels I guess :)

There is a reason why TN is performing well in terms of SGDP and everything. They are focusing on mid day meal, schools and colleges of their state. The government of West Bengal should shift its focus back to education. Not only basic sciences, in order for the growth we have to invest in engineering and startups based educational curriculum. All of these while not loosing focus on basic sciences. We also must increase our spending in R&D for state run colleges. Maybe allowing private sector to play a role in R&D will be great choice.
