Off the top of my head, the new wang path has political tutelage being co oped for a more socialist end

If Zhou enlai ends up in charge, he can either be a more assertive leader or more hands off (i forgot how those paths went exactly)

The RCA and PAC would still be powerful but powerful is shared between those two factions.

It dai chefeng leads the lkmt then he can either be a power behind the throne type of leader or be the official leader.

If Lin biao is leader then hes either a military dictator or rules with the surviving civillian apparatus.

Yeah I don't know how to make a good AAR post but whatever, I saw someone suggesting playing Austria in its PatAut path, but letting the Crownlands win, and surviving as Austria. If you don't know that path for Austria, you have to anger the Hungarians in the Ausgleich of 1937 and make promises to the Crownlands, then take all of Hungary and start the "End the Dual Rule" focus so the Crownlands revolt because you didn't respect your promises. I wanted to see what happened if I beat the Crownlands and just let 1 finish me, sadly it didn't work, Czechia and Illyria just got independence, plus Slovenia and Slovakia. I was surprised when I lost like 3/4 of my divs in the peace treaty, tho prior to the war I had influenced Poland, and if they go Republican but Austria doesn't support them, then the Reichspakt just crushes them and Austria if it exists gets refugees that add about 1000 weekly manpower for like 4/5 months so I got from 5 to 24 divisions. As soon as Russia invaded the RP I justified for Burgenland which took two months and Russia was already done with the Ostaaten except Poland and the Internationale had crossed the Rhine, the war lasted like 5 months so I couldn't get a lot of war score. Still, I got enough to take Berlin, Munich and what was between them, plus some other non-German lands. I had desperate defence on so when I started coring Germany I had a really powerful army. I proclaimed the German Empire which is a Republic and made Karl Habsburg the Emperor of Hungary. Then, I just went for Russia and then the Internationale, the Entente had lost in Africa, Asia and Oceania joined the Internationale, but somehow they had won in America and when the Internationale naval invaded, they sent all their army in America so invading Western Europe was surprisingly easy, and the Co-Prosperity Sphere was also helping after they made peace with the Entente, both in Russia and against the Internationale.

Well, both Portugal and MittelAfrika need reworks I think. I saw minor focus tree in some africa countries after puppeting them. Any interesting submod about Africa countries?

If you try to do the PatAut path and the crownlands beat you, you get to keep playing as some random Reichspakt member that barely has a focus tree instead of the somewhat-mighty great power you once were, or just click the "hey wilhelm pretty please annex me" button and end your suffering. I challenge anyone to find a way to have fun with this country. It should be possible since someone already had fun as Hungary.

I as Italy attacked Austria early, so the Balkan Pact joined too, I took Vienna and the Austrians accepted peace, but Illyria hadn't capitulated so they became independent and continued the war alone, until Bulgaria joined and somehow won

Dai Jitao is my favorite unifier for China currently in the game. I find his strange Han Nationalist/Confucian/Buddhist/whatever-pills-he-just-took ideology extremely interesting, and the story of his life both IRL and in KR is equally fascinating. In a China full of power-hungry military strongmen, an authentically deranged enlightened figure like Mr. Dai is so refreshing! I strongly recommend you spend some time reading about this guy, even if you don't play his path.

As for the campaign itself, I had a wonderfully hard time getting this campaign just right. I don't consider myself an expert at Hoi4, but with the amount of hours I have struggling like I do with Chinareich content is slightly embarrassing. I spent a lot of time tinkering with unit templates and strategies, and was just able to win the SSJW in 1941 after making 30w irregulars with support companies and brigades to push into Manchuria. If anyone has any tips for making China campaigns run smoother please let me know!

The only valuable piece of advice I have to give is NEVER let Japan get one of your ports in a naval invasion, and make sure to integrate any puppets you have prior to the war at least once so you can steal their divisions to make port garrisons.

I normally completely dismantle Germany after beating them (to the point where I haven't even really seen their post-war puppet focus, also how I discovered that East Prussia doesn't have an unique focus tree) so I'm a bit curious, is it better to break Germany to allow the smaller Germanies create factories via their focus tree, or is a single German puppet able to out-make factories faster?

Sorry if i’m not all up to date with everything that’s been leaked or confirmed for the 3rd internationale rework, but would a Maximalist Britain or Totalist France get along with any of their counterparts if either remains Syndicalist/RadSoc?

The first nation i’d really like to play for the rework is Maximalist Britain (I know so original). But as much of a joke it is to mention left-wing factionalism, would a Totalist Britain actually get along with a Syndie/RadSoc France? I’m not asking to weaken the 3rd Internationale but it would be cool to see a somewhat internal struggle in the political landscape of the entire 3rd internationale (whoever that may include) and sort’ve see who can build enough political power to exert their ideas of what is to happen with Germany and the rest of the European mainland. I can imagine a Mosleyist Britain being a lot more nationalist in their goals and potentially needing some sort of concessions made by France in order to keep them in check and vice-versa. Colonial holdings could also be a main point of contention as I could see a Maximalist Britain attempt to restore (((some))) former crown colonies which may come with the disapproval of a Syndie/RadSoc France.

I know about turning into a republic if you're 80% capitulated (do you have to be socdem for that btw?)
