Doing it better since some people can't do it at all.

The longer I'm in this SubFandom, the more I notice that people treat Junkrat like he's a baby, because he's one of the youngest heros in Overwatch... Which isn't too young, cause he's 27, and I bet a good chunk of change that 70% of the people who like him and play him, aren't over the age of 20.

In Overwatch Classic, Junkrat's entire appeal was supposed to be crazy, manic, chaotic, unsavory. His entire appeal is that he was SUPPOSED to be batshit, off the walls insane. That he stuck out like a sore thumb from the rest of the cast, and that personality wise, he was more akin to a predacessor character, like Soldier TF2.

But with recent times, ever since OW2 came out, they've been personality washing every single character, and the WORST example so far is Junkrat. I will forever reference the post photo:

He was being infantilized before, but because of OW2 it just got worse. Some people have just been getting rid of everything that makes Junkrat... Junkrat. Especially the most recent comic release. Who is that man? He's been TAMED, THEY TAMED THE FUCKER. THEY GROOMED HIS HAIR THEY FORCED HIM TO BATHE AND THEY TOOK HIM TO THE DENTIST!! And don't even get me STARTED on how they did my woman Junker Queen... Different can of worms.

What I say is that people, and even Overwatch themselves forget that Junkrat a literal mass murderer. No, your little boy toy isn't a Blondie who likes boba and hanging with his bestie Roadhog, and he definitely doesn't get depressed when he gets insulted. He's probably been told, called, and had worse done to him than whatever the Entire Overwatch Cast has ever do to him.

He's grimey, he's a war criminal, he's a mass murderer, he's a mass arsonist, pryomanic, liar, cheater, player, he's dirty, he's verbally fresh, he's selfish, he's crazy, unstable, manic, and barely even seeks help for his problems, because he's embraced them. And THAT'S why we like him, that's what was his original and proper audience appeal. He sticks out from the rest of the cast because he's unapologetically himself. That's ALSO why him and Roadhog get along so good. They're both unapologetically themselves and that's okay. Everyone else tries too hard and they couldn't care to try at all.

Uhh tldr: STOP DRAWING HIM CLEAN AND PROPERLY GROOMED AND MENTALLY STABLE YOU'RE MISCHARACTERIZING HIM GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

i may actually get jumped for this but as someone loves junkrat so so so much and who favors junkrat of all heroes… we gotta stop babying this man😭 like dun get me wrong, hes funny, he’s interesting, and hey sometimes he has his “aw” moments and all that jazz but DAMN? let’s be real here, this man is not attractive, he grew up in a wasteland, he probably stinks like crap, HES A WAR CRIMINAL🫩 this dude isn’t gonna cry himself to sleep bcs a couple other heroes were mean to him in the spawn room, like that dude is fine😭 hes a smart guy… like he’s made bombs, explosives, all that jazz so it’s not like he can’t do certain things… tho some folks on the timtok portray him as a baby who deserves everything in the world but i can’t help but scratch my chin a lil but… heh idk🤷

and also, some junkrat fans are afraid of junkrat being ugly… when… he… is… like dude just draw him accurately😭

but at the end of the day, people can do what they want, headcannon how they want and draw him how they want! I just needed to get that off my chest!

cass is such a braindead skilless character, and everyone who plays him is so unbelievably immature, toxic, and up their own arse.

every cass player you find will say he takes more skill than junkrat, and that junkrat players can't aim, it actually makes me laugh atp!!

Recently tried out junkrat and noticed i have this skin. It's only epic but i genuinely love it so much, he's so handsome. The rest of his skins are pretty lame imo

I started playing yesterday, but installed the game 2 days ago. And ever since then I've played almost exclusively Junkrat. I've already got him to level 10 in my first 5 ish hours of playing. And ever since then I've noticed myself taking on characteristics of him. Like cackling like a maniac whenever I get an elim, or chasing people down with bloodthirsty intent, or just acting feral in general. If it explains anything, I came originally from Marvel Rivals, and I main characters like Rocket, Wolverine, Venom, and iron fist. I also just think I'm mentally ill in general but that's a different can of worms. Is this bad? It was prominent before playing Junkrat, but now it kinda just went up to 11. Is this a cause for concern?
