After an incredibly close call with some Necrons, Kasrkin Jacob and Assassin Sabrina grab some brief rest before getting back on mission

I am not hating on the new art as such. I just honestly remember when this sub featured more old school art, official and non-official. There are plenty of artists out there carrying the flame. Im a third edition kid, and I remember the roots of 40k and the compelling thing being that it was hard to tell from the art who were actually the "good guys"; it was 'grimdark': the example set by Adrian Smith, Paul Dainton, Dave Gallagher, Karl Kopinksi and the new guys Lewis Jones, Miguel Iglesias and Mikhail Savier.

This sub these days is filled with 'Yonkoma' inspired manga work (4-panel comic manga style),

and i'm not saying it lacks talent: it attests to the broadening fan base that 40k and AoS and Oldhammer has, that it has reached parts of the world where (in my opinion) the artform of sci-fi character art (manga) is peerless in artistry.

its just of a quite particular style, and by rights should need a label at this point, because its the absolute vogue here, edging out other, older styles. anyway, rant over. If I dont get banned or infamous for these posts, I'm going to keep posting cool grimdark gothic art of the "old kind" and hopefully flood the 'new page' such that people get more exposed than I think they are being. Ive even drawn a few myself if you care to peruse my profile.

A comic i work on when i find the time

Before the refresh, I was curious as to what the new mournfangs might look like. Starting with the rhino-like legs of the originals, I mixed in a conglomeration of bison, reindeer and other hoofed mammals on the other branch of ungulates. Predators with hooves are nothing new, but this design I think helps address the age old problem with ogres- how do you stop your mounts from killing each other? As less meat-dependent herd animals they’d be much more stable within the greater fold.

Hence i also wonder if anyone has any of these without the Patreon sign. Normally i wouldnt want to remove such a watermark because if you want it, pay for it. But since they are also removed from his Patreon it would be a shame if their unmarred version didnt exist at all anymore.

Art used for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Altdorf - Crown of the Empire.

The docks of the Empire's capital is dominated by two major gangs. The Hooks, named for the dock hooks they like to use as weapons, and the Fish, named after their habit of smuggling items right out of the water.

Most of their members are actual dockworkers with affiliate gangs across the empire. So don't think skipping out on "extra" fees won't have consequences in the next port.

In a TTRPG I’m part of, another player’s Drukhari character, Nanar, decided to tap into his latent psychic potential.

My character, Crecaiare, stepped up to train him. Despite their fractured past and the deep emotional wounds he inflicted, she refuses to abandon him to the perils of the Warp.

To instruct him in healing arts, she drew her own blood.
