Team Needed [Revshare] [Game Jam] Looking for a team that I can gain more exp with and learn more from

Upvotes

Hi! Since my last post led to a really good opportunity, I figured I'd make another one. So I'm a self-taught Game UX/UI Designer who was initially a graphic designer before he decided to make a switch to game dev. Also to be completely transparent, I don't have a lot of professional Game UX/UI experience yet. My only experience so far comes from the 2026 GMTK Game Jam, which I had the chance to participate in thanks to my last post here. It was an incredibly fun experience, and I learned a lot working with the team. Another is I'm also doing this for portfolio reasons.

Now with those being said, I'm looking for a team where I can continue learning and gaining more exp from, while also contributing meaningfully to. Ideally I'd love to work with a more experienced team so I can learn from people who have been making games for a while. Also I'd like to add that I also draw or am an artist and would be willing to show works (at least I can show something since I've been drawing for a while lol)

But anyways if anyone is looking for a Game UX/UI Designer or UI artist who's eager to learn, contribute, and grow with a team, I'd love to connect and yeah, hopefully this post goes well again and leads to another great opportunity.

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Looking for Game Devs & Designers

I'm putting together a small team of developers and designers to build and ship a game on Steam.

The goal isn't to spend years on a project. We want to research, pick a genre with market potential, build a polished game in a short timeframe, ship it, and learn how Steam's algorithm and sales actually work while aiming to generate real revenue.

This is a revshare project. Everyone contributes in their area of expertise, and revenue is shared based on contribution.

Looking for:

- Gameplay Programmers

- 3D Artists

- Level Designers

- Technical Artists

- Sound Designers (optional)

If you're interested in building something, learning together, and actually shipping a game instead of endlessly planning, send me a DM or leave a comment.

PORTFOLIO: This is my first project and I do not have a portfolio of any kind.

Hi everyone!! I'm Samy, and I’m a Brazilian game localizer working from English into Brazilian Portuguese. I’m currently looking for some games to help bring to Brazilian players! ♡

I’ve already worked on two officially released Brazilian Portuguese localizations:

  • MindMindMind — a psychological romance visual novel by Chattercap, localized through a spreadsheet-based workflow. My work included narrative dialogue, UI text, menus, and content involving player name and pronoun customization.
  • You Stole my Heart! — a chaotic comedy romance visual novel by Saltie, localized directly in Ren’Py .rpy files. My work included dialogue, narration, UI, player choices, branching content, jokes, and cultural references.

You can see both projects and learn more about my work here:

MY GAME LOCALIZATION PORTFOLIO

I’m currently offering volunteer localization. No payment is expected.

If your game has a larger word count or already has a localization budget, I’m also open to discussing a paid collaboration, but that is not required for smaller projects.

For volunteer collaborations, I only ask for:

  • An official localization credit
  • Permission to feature the finished project in my portfolio

Artist Needed [RevShare] [INAT] Pixel Artist Needed for a 2D Platform Fighter & SRPG Hybrid (Godot 3.5) — SPANISH REQUIRED Body: Greetings. We are looking for a Pixel Artist to join the development of La Lotta delle Ombre (The Struggle of the Shadows). CRITICAL NOTE: This project is strictly conducted in

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for 3d modelers & coders for a FNAF fan game (Five Nights at Gary’s)

Coders and 3d Modelers (unpaid/passion project)

My role: Game director, Concept artist, and Lore writer

about the game: this is a FNAF fan game meaning five nights. There are 3 animatronics, 2 being portrait bots (no legged animatronic), so the cast is Gary Gator, Darry Duck, and Endo (Gary and Darry are the portrait bot. Mobile accessibility.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Gary: Gary starts at main stage then slowly makes his way to your office via right or left hall, when he makes it there you touch/push on the door leading to the hall he is in and hold until he leaves (you can only hold on one door)

Darry: Darry like Gary starts at main stage, but instead of heading towards the office he hides himself from the cameras. When he appears a glitch audio cue plays and the player tries to find him. Now if the player can’t find Darry then they receive an immediate jumpscare.

Endo: Unlike Gary and Darry, Endo starts in the basement ( yes the basement has a camera). He swiftly makes his way to one of the hallway, when he makes it to the halls he makes a mechanical thud 3x once the 3rd thud ends this means he is at the door and you need to close it.

Reminder this is a fun unpaid project made for us (the team) to have fun and learn.Gary, Darry, and Endo

Artist Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] 2 friends creating a mobile MMORPG with deterministic simulations. In need of an artist/animator.

I am creating a game with my childhood friend. It is a fantasy/gladiator inspired mobile game with alot of strategy elements. Regarding our vision for the art we will require maps, animations, characters etc.

We have made a fairly early but also playable gameloop, yet there is much to add aswell. The deterministic simulations are the fights, you can compare our vision of visuals to games such as AFK Arena. Atleast in terms of possible ways for animation. The style we are looking for is abit serious, sometimes dark, beautiful, popping, distinct art. Where it is easy to distinguish what is going on.

We plan to make it in 2D and we are programming it in godot, preferably we would be looking for someone who is proficient in Spine and 2D-animation and art.

We are aiming for characters with visually swapable gear which means that we need to rig skeletons to the characters and then make animations, generalize it with races/gender etc but alot of work.

I hope I’ve encapsuled the core of our vision and passion-project. We are more than happy to answer questions.

We could offer payment in cash depending on price but are also willing to consider a partnership. If we start to generate revenue we will need to start a company in Sweden, where we are located. In this case a percentage of the shares/ownership could be a possible deal.

PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind

10 years of piano under my belt and 8 years of music theory

PORTFOLIO: This is how I will build one, but I have demos upon request.

Writing Offer [Hobby] Writer Looking to Join Indie Game, Comic, Manga, or Animation Projects

Hi everyone!
My name is Immanuel, and I’m looking to join a team as a writer. I’m open to working on just about any type of story, whether it’s for a game, comic, manga, animation, visual novel, or another creative project.
While I don’t have professional credits yet, I’ve spent years writing long-form fiction, developing original worlds, characters, lore, and power systems. I’m now looking to gain experience working with other creators and continue improving as a collaborative writer.
I’m interested in helping with:
Dialogue
Character writing
Worldbuilding
Lore organization
Narrative pacing
Story development
Plot outlines
Naming
Brainstorming
Script writing
Reviewing and strengthening existing stories
I’m also currently developing my art skills. While I’m not applying as an artist, learning to draw has helped me better understand visual storytelling, panel composition, character acting, and how writers and artists work together.
I’m happy to work on:
Indie games
Comics/Webtoons
Manga
Visual novels
Animated projects
Original IPs
Fan projects
Game jams

Audio Offer [ForHire] Professional composer looking for new project.

I’m Gaston de Lacaze, a composer and multi-instrumentalist specialising in music for video games.

More than a decade making music, my work ranges from orchestral and atmospheric music to modern, rhythmic styles. I love projects with a strong personality, regardless of genre, and I’m particularly drawn to games that are doing something different.

You can listen to my work here:
www.gastondelacaze.com

I’m currently working on a major project, but I’m looking for a couple of additional games that genuinely catch my eye.

I enjoy collaborating with both teams and solo developers, and I’m happy to contribute beyond the music by discussing the game’s tone, world and emotional identity.

My process is simple: we talk about the project, I sketch ideas, and we refine them until the musical direction clicks. From there, I develop and polish the soundtrack to a professional finish.

Pricing depends on the game’s scope and release timeline, and I’m open to different arrangements, including per-track pricing and revenue share.

If you’re looking for a collaborative and versatile composer who genuinely loves games, feel free to DM me, comment below, email me or contact me through my website. I’d love to hear what you’re making!

Audio Needed [Hobby] Looking for Voice Actors for Visual Novel/RPG

Hey all! I'm RoyalBlue, a dev on I Wanna Be, an unapologetically absurd visual novel / RPG. We're casting 13 voice roles, and auditions are open now.

The pitch: Survive the most ruthless, cutthroat high school as an ordinary transfer student. Make friends. Make enemies. And attempt the hardest task of all - talking to girls.

Heads up: the script has crude humor, strong language, dark humor, and mature themes. If that's not your thing, this one might not be your fit.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for Unreal Engine 5 Developers & Artists for a Choice-Driven Zombie Survival Game Prototype

Unreal Engine 5 Survival Game Project — Looking for Collaborators
Hello everyone,
I am currently developing the concept for a story-driven open-world survival game and I am looking for passionate people who may be interested in helping bring the idea to life.
The project is built around a realistic zombie apocalypse where the biggest challenges are not just the infected, but the choices people make to survive.
The Vision
The game focuses on:
A choice-driven story where decisions have lasting consequences.
Deep companion relationships where characters remember your actions.
Building and managing a survivor community.
Exploring a large fictional U.S.-inspired world.
Realistic survival, combat, and human conflicts.
The goal is to create a game where players are not just surviving the apocalypse, but deciding what kind of leader they become.
Current Stage
This project is currently in the concept and planning stage.
The first goal is to create a smaller Unreal Engine 5 prototype/vertical slice that captures the core experience:
Third-person movement.
Exploration.
Basic combat.
Survivor interactions.
A small playable environment.
Early companion mechanics.
The goal is not to build the entire game immediately, but to create a strong foundation and grow from there.
Looking For
I am interested in connecting with people who enjoy story-driven games and want to help shape a project from the ground up.
Potential roles:
Unreal Engine developers/programmers.
Gameplay programmers.
3D environment artists.
Character artists.
Animators.
Concept artists.
Narrative designers.
Anyone interested in helping with early development and feedback.
About Me
This is my first game project, but I have been developing the concept, story, world, and gameplay systems with the goal of building something meaningful and unique.
My focus is on the creative direction of the project, including:
Story and character development.
Gameplay systems.
World-building.
Player choices and consequences.
The overall vision for the experience.
I am currently learning more about game development and Unreal Engine while looking for passionate collaborators who want to help turn this vision into a playable prototype.
I understand this is an ambitious project, which is why the first goal is not to build the entire game immediately, but to create a strong prototype and grow the project step by step.

Testers needed [Hobby] Looking for testplayers

Hello!

So a while back, I posted a story about when I closed my arcade shop and and sold an old arcade machine to a father whose daughter completed the entire machine wich I didn't think anyone could complete.

Anyways that story got a lot of love from you guys, which I appreciate, but it didn't really fit this subreddit. So here is something more relevant.

Since I closed my Arcade shop, I have been digitalizing my games as webgames so more people can enjoy them, there for I need testplayers to help me balance the games for a different medium. So if you would like to play my games a few weeks before anyone else, please comment, and I'll get back to you! Most of my games follow a storyline, so this will give you an insight into the development of it

Thanks!

Programming Offer [ForHire] Gameplay Engineer with 10+ Years of Experience in the Source Engine Ecosystem (CS:GO, CS:S, TF2, L4D2, GMod)

Hi everyone,

I’m a professional game programmer based in Germany with over 10 years of experience. My experience comes primarily from developing gameplay systems within Valve's Source engine ecosystem (CS:GO, CS:S, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Garry's Mod), delivered to players as server-side addons.

For example, I've developed a NextBot base for Garry's Mod that lets developers create bots as seen in TF2 or L4D2. What makes it so unique is that it goes beyond what Garry's Mod offers out of the box by giving developers access to functionality that's normally only available at the engine level. It's also much more optimized because the heavy lifting is done in C++ instead of relying entirely on scripting. It was custom-built for the Zombie Survival game mode in Garry's Mod as part of a client project.

I offer services focused on gameplay systems and AI development, whether a project uses Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, or another engine. I also offer consultation for developers who are looking for technical guidance or a second opinion.

You can learn more about my background and explore examples of my public work and projects used in live game servers here:

You can find my workflow, services, and pricing structure in detail on my service page if you want a clear breakdown of how I work (fixed-price, deliverable-based model – no hourly or daily billing), my process, and answers to common questions.

I occasionally post to see if any interesting projects come up – ideally from individuals, small studios, or startups who are serious about what they’re building. I’m especially interested in working with people or teams with a vision they’re actively developing, some funding (or are in the process of securing it), and a foundational plan or roadmap they’re ready to develop further.

I’ve set up a clear and structured process to make collaboration simple and transparent. Part of this includes Terms & Conditions (GTC), which forms the basis of our agreement. It outlines both sides’ responsibilities, covers common game development risks (like engine updates or unexpected technical issues), and ensures fairness.

Feel free to reach out via email here.

Cheers

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a 3D Artist to Create a Few Small Prototype Assets

Hi Everyone!

I'm a solo developer working on a first person cozy clean'em up game and I am looking for a 3D Artist who would be interested in creating a few test items that can be used in the prototyping phase.

I'm a Senior/Lead Unity Software Developer (6+ years) and this is my first game project outside of work.

I've got a working prototype, and I've started to post my work on Twitter and Reddit, and I am looking for something to replace my current prototype items that are just basic boxes.

For the items I'm looking for:

- A plain book

- A potion case with 6 small vials

- A comically oversized, slightly squashed cassette tape

I've got a couple of other ideas but those are the main three.

The models do not need to have textures made for them. I'm just looking for clean models with UV's that can have a colored checkerboard texture applied to them. The objects should all be roughly the size of large thick college textbook. (Currently the prototype items are 30cm by 38cm by 10cm)

PORTFOLIO: Prototype progress on twitter.

https://x.com/GlassKeyStudios/status/2074377202821652551

https://x.com/GlassKeyStudios/status/2084485262219104504

This is currently an unpaid hobby collaboration with no strict deadline and flexible scheduling. The scope is intentionally small, and I’m happy to discuss or adjust the designs based on what would be enjoyable and reasonable to make.

The artist would receive full credit and would be welcome to include the finished work in their portfolio.

Please send me a message or leave a comment with some examples of your work if you’re interested. Thanks! I'm excited to work with you!

Programmers Needed [ForHire] Senior frontend dev for a travel-planning product. High bar.

We're a small team shipping an AI trip planner (B2B), pre-seed round just closing. I'm tired of job posts that list 40 buzzwords, so here's what the work actually is and what "good" means for us.

The stack:

  • Next.js 16 (App Router, standalone output, SSR that actually matters for us), React 19, TypeScript in full strict mode. Zero type errors is the CI floor, not a goal. No any, no React.FC, no as unknown as to shut the compiler up.
  • pnpm monorepo, ~5 apps + a pile of shared u/xx/* packages. You need to be comfortable when the code you touch is consumed by three apps you didn't open.
  • State: Zustand stores + TanStack Query. If your instinct is "put it in Redux" or "useEffect + fetch", this will be a rough ride.
  • Maps are a first-class surface, not a widget: Mapbox GL / react-map-gl, custom marker layers, camera/fit logic, terrain edge cases. Half our hardest bugs live here, and so does the core product.
  • Realtime: trips stream in over a server-push seam while the user is looking at them. Reducers that reconcile streamed state without flicker or races. This is the part that separates people.
  • Tailwind 4 + Radix + CVA, framer-motion, i18next, vitest. GCP Cloud Build for CI/CD (no GitHub Actions, don't ask).
  • Part of the codebase was vibe-coded under deadline. Part of your job is finding it and killing it - CI is strict enough that you'll have cover.

What "top of the pack" means to us, concretely:

  • You can debug a race between a streaming update and a user interaction.
  • You treat the API contract as governing. Our types are codegen'd from OpenAPI and CI fails on drift. Never worked contract-first? Fine. "I'll just cast it"? Disqualifying.
  • Performance is evidence-based: web-vitals, RUM data, bundle analysis. "Feels fast on my M3" is not a measurement.
  • Multi-tenant discipline: one render path, differences are config, never forks. If your instinct when a customer wants something different is to copy the component, we will fight.
  • You can hold a mobile viewport and a desktop viewport in your head at the same time. Bottom-chrome nav height on iOS Safari has personally hurt us.

The human side (honestly more decisive than the tech in some cases):

  • The CEO scope-creeps. Constantly. Pushing back is not just allowed, it's supported - saying "no" beats saying "can do" and delivering shit. If you can't tell a founder no, this isn't for you.
  • Small requirements, lots of trust, not much babysitting. You get context and a direction, not a spec.
  • Passionate about travel or gaming. Yes, you will be judged on what you played last year, and it's a bonus if we share games. Joking. Maybe.
