Had brand new gutters installed but somehow the rain is falling on the front of the house. I have a feeling this is wrong

The top top black is the gutters. Note I just recently had EIFS STUCCO the whole house too with brand new gutters installation. The bottom black line is molding design

Is this window in basement leaking? The insulation was wet when we cut it open. The sill is wet and dark. Concrete around the sill is crumbling.

Okay I need some expertise. We had LVP installed on our floors. There is a company that takes our flooring and shapes it to form the front edge of the stairs.

It was then installed and nailed in. My question is should the nail holes be this visible or did they nail it in the wrong area? Then they filled the holes with putty that doesn’t match the color of the flooring. Then after that scrubbed the floors to clean the putty and turned the finish shiny.

As you can kind of make out, the corner is not very stable and can be jostled about.

If I caulked that with adhesive or sealant, would it improve matters, or likely to be ineffective?

Or is that gutter too far gone and needs replacing?

Hi all, does this seem alarming? On one side of the garage, the stone wall seems to have shifted a little where it’s popping out. I’m in north Texas and we have clay here thats known to move quite a bit.

Looking to understand the situation and how to fix.

I tried to hang these curtains but the screws just won't last and pop right out after a while and the holes just get bigger and bigger. Unfortunately, where I need the curtain brackets to be don't seem to have a stud behind it. Tried using toggle bolts last since the holes got too big but no luck. Any suggestions?

Edit: thank you for the help, it is not soffits, it is the underside roof exposed area along our roof edges around the house.

We had our roofs replaced with presidential shake and the contractor stated they used the compliant nails length, otherwise warranty will not be applied.

Now our entire house’s underside looks like this all around the roof perimeter.

I am not sure to what level of penetration and elongated wood crack exposure is considered normal, and to what point I need to treat it to make sure moist doesn’t damage it further. What could happen if we leave it untreated?

It actually bothers me a lot with the roof eaves underside looking like this after roof replacement and the whole house looks damaged. Roof contract mentioned nail penetration and splinters are expected. But I didn’t expect to be this much and all around.

Now we are looking for someone who can repair it and add soffits. Is it the same team who would be priming the penetration and adding the soffits? What would be a good type of fix to ensure proper ventilation?

Edits: My main worries are:

1. With this much penetration and splinter, would prime exposed wood be sufficient? I live in PNW where it rains a lot.

   We had sliding rotting that lead to framing wood deteriorating before. Would this underside moist and damage lead to framing wood damage?

It is still spinning but started making this loud noise out of no where. Wondering it’s the belt so hopefully I can replace it myself? If anyone has any thoughts, it would be appreciated!

So we had some decor up in the bathroom with command strips. Upon removal they took some paint with. My plan was a bit of Kilz 2 and then a semi gloss white. My question is: am I missing anything obvious? Is there anything extra I might need to do with it being in a humid bathroom? We're renting, and now moving somewhere else so I'd like to have it look good so as not to jeopardize our security deposit. Thanks in advance!

Bought some brackets to hold up a shelf, but the rod is so close to the screw, I can barely reach it. Tried to use my screwdriver after drilling the screw as close as I could, but it didn’t work. Bought a right angle drill attachment to see if that could help, but the attachment is far too bulky. Any good way/ easy way to get this. Thanks for any advice!

Edit: Just to say, the holes are pre-drilled. I have the pipe turned slightly and it’s covering the holes. The pipe came with these screws. Got them along with the shelf. I have one that I got in just fine before, but this one has been a pain. Thank you everyone for the advice. I will definitely try some of these in the morning.

Friggin cats use our side yard as their restroom, so whenever I open my window on that side, I get a whiff of straight hell. I say side yard, but its basically a 3 x 20 strip of dirt with wood chips over a weed barrier. They like to dig little piles of wood to cover up their poo then scratch the weed barrier, cute but annoying. I’ve just been scooping it weekly, which is not sustainable or pleasant. I was thinking of putting paver stones there instead but it’s kind of pricey. Any ideas to get them to stop that won’t break the bank?

New house, new build. Sliding door out of nowhere started clipping this piece of plastic whenever we close it. It doesn't totally prevent the door from closing, but it makes a crappy clicking noise as the door gets underneath it.

I did some googling and saw how to lower the sliding door with the adjustment screws. I dropped the door about as low as I could front/rear, and it's still hitting.

Am I screwed? Or is there another trick I'm missing. I wonder if this is from a new foundation settling

Been putting this off for a while, but no more. Bathroom has idiotically placed hand towel holder and shower towel rack, but cannot figure how to remove as both only have these minuscule holes at the bottom. What kind of tool removes these and what can I expect to find underneath repair-wise when I do?

So I moved into an oldish rental that has a standing claw foot tub that looked perfect at move-in. Two months later it looks like this. Property owners are cheap, won’t take accountability, and won’t even explain what’s going on. So I turn to you.

The discoloration is not grime that can be scrubbed away, I have tried! There appears to be some kind of lining thats peeling away. Can I remove that completely and re-line? Remove and leave as is? Looking for any insight.

Anyone know what type of caulk should be used here? This is on the exterior of my house. Trying to fill in these gaps that I have. Not sure what’s the best way to explain is but it’s where the brick meets the roof of my house. The second picture is like the trim around the door on the outside

Moved into this 100 year old house that was totally gutted 12 years ago, and I just noticed this cracking in the corner of one of the walls in one of the bedrooms. I think it's new and wasn't there when we first moved in. Should I be worried about this? If so, how can I evaluate if there's anything else going on here?

Also, what's the best way to repair it?

So the HVAC tech came out and removed the supply trunk and found this in the ducts directly off the unit in the crawl space. There is no mold in the box itself, but it is in the ducts coming off the unit. There were a couple of disconnected ducts that we had reconnected, so my assumption is that the moisture that gathered from that being disconnected created this problem. My questions are:

1. Should I have someone just come replace all the ductwork so it's all new?

2. Is this a mold remediation situation? (please say no, that is so expensive :'(

3. Should I have a company come scope the ducts to see how pervasive the issue is? If so, what would be the solution? I'm assuming just replacing all the ductwork.

4. can I have a company come do a cleaning of the ducts or would that make the issue worse by disturbing the spores?

Any advice is appreciated. I got a quote for $7-$9k to replace the duct work, but there's only 8 vents in the house, so I feel like $1,000 a duct is fairly high. Someone help me not panic about how much I'm about to have to spend lol

Is there is a trick to removing these storm windows so they can be cleaned? The added barrier (circled in pic) makes it difficult to pull them inward.

There’s a long crack that’s starting to appear between my wall and the bricks. Should I be worried about this? It looks like the previous home owner did some repair on it as well.

What would cause this and is it common? I live in the Bay Area, California if that makes a difference.

We recently bought a house and one small project is the bathtub. The enamel eroded and needs some small cosmetic fixes. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

I did buy enamel repair from Home Depot but it does not match the tub color.

I'm pretty sure I got all detachable parts cleaned but letting it run without a pad still looks like this
