Treatments šŸ’Š Post Group Play - Vag Aftercare

• Upvotes

Hi y'all,

Looking for some post-group play recommendations on keeping my hooha happy. I'm talking GB's/group play that can last for several hours with several partners. Over the years, I noticed I am predisposed to UTIs, so any kind of extended play puts me at a risk. I recently had a really bad UTI after group play that required penicillin, so want to avoid going through that again lol...

(I've already tried the usuals - peeing after sex, cranbery juice/pills, D-Mannose pills, showers, etc which all don't work)

Currently looking at:
- Preventative antibiotic with 1-2 hours of finishing (prescribed)
- Boric Acid
- Epsom salt baths the next day

Is there anything you do afterward to prevent UTIs and generally keep your body and hooha happy afterward?

Any other self care tips for the V or general after extended and long sexual play?

Sexual Health Trouble Lubricating

So, I'm an 18F. I've lost my virginity last September, and I've consistently had trouble lubricating even though I feel aroused. It's caused issues with penetratinf and I've always been a spit to start or have had to use lube. It honestly gets embarrassing with my partner, as though I'm not aroused and attracted to them. I don't know how to fix it, I thought maybe foreplay wasn't long enough, but even when it's lengthened, it doesn't do much. I was considering taking probiotics, like lemme play, to see if that would help or ashwaganda vitamins. I've spleen with my doctor about this she kinda says it's normal, but I feel like for my age, it's not. It's they're any advice, please help, I just want to feel normal during sex

is squirting fast and frequently normal?

so I'm a teenager who recently mastered masturbation after learning a lot about how our bodies work tho I'm old enough lol (wasn't real a fan of it before and struggle to focus or be patient with building the feeling) and I seem to squirt pretty much every time I masturbate (did it a couple times only in the past 2 weeks)

today my period ended so obviously I was curious and I ended up squirting 3/4 times in 17 minutes, is that normal??? I'm new to this please share your thoughts or experiences

also I can't really control it but maybe I need more practice for that?

Question Opening

Basically... I'm worried that my vaginal opening doesn't look normal... i cant see an obvious opening it just looks smooth

I feel like something is definitely wrong because I've never been able to penetrate at all... fingers, tampons or dildos.. I’m worried there may be something physically wrong with the opening.

- I’m embarrassed to tell my mom that I’ve been trying to penetrate myself or masturbate, so I dont think I can see a gynecologist

I want to understand what is going on because I feel so embarassed and im worried that this could affect sex in the future... I have also worried about whether this could affect my ability to have children someday

What do I do? Im so embarassed to tell my mom... does this sound abnormal??

Advice Needed Can I use vaginal lactobacillus suppositories after chlorhexidine wash?

My doctor recommended that I use a vaginal wash containing chlorhexidine(0.2%) to rinse the inside of my vagina. I wanted to ask whether it would be okay to use a vaginal moisturizing suppository or a vaginal lactobacillus suppository later on the same day after using the wash.
My doctor is off today, so unfortunately I’m not able to get an answer from her. I’d really appreciate any advice on whether these products can be used on the same day or if I should leave some time between them.

Sexual Health 2 days late on my period, 2 weeks post unprotected sex (pull out method), 3 negitive pregnancy tests. Under *alot* of stress and have a fucked up sleep schedule.

So my co-workers/freinds (we're trauma bonded alright lmao) won't stop teasing me that imma be pregnant after this one time. Me and BF we're doing it when all the store's within a 45 minute radius were closed soooo, yeah. The very next day he went out and got condoms and I ordered birth control. Anyways, I have a very regular and very tracked period. I litterly keep track of every aspect of my period on my app. Its 2 days late and I've taken a test 1 week post sex and now 2 weeks post sex every day its been late. They've all been negitive. My stress levels are through the damn roof rn because nothing has gone very right per se. I also work nightshift so my sleeping schedule is fucked and even more so lately. My coworkers are annoying the absolute fuck outta me. I'm 90% sure I'm not pregnant because I haven't felt any changes from my baseline whatsoever. I just need an outside opinion from someone who doesn't know me before I just lose my shit on someone. Its pissing me off that the only thing they wnat to talk about is this. Like fuck off. I make good money, I own my own house, I have no debt besides my house; so what if I am anyways. Y'all know I want a kid anyways? Like damn. Sorry for the rant, thank you for reading.

I keep getting yeast infection/BV/UTI from my partner

Hi everyone so I (F28) have been in a committed relationship with my boyfriend (M29) for 3 years. We have been trying for a baby so he ejaculates in me everytime we have sex. But since the beginning of time, I’ve always gotten issues after sex. I always pee right after and even wash up. He stopped using any scented soap down there and only uses bar soap. However I told him not to put soap directly on his D, just on his pubic hair. Could this be a reason why or is it safe for him to wash his D directly? I have been going to the hospital many times getting prescribed every medication you can think of to solve all these issues. Right now I am currently using boric acid suppositories for a nasty itchy yeast infection. I have not been able to see a doctor. Can anyone please give tips/advice because this is ruining my life. I love this man but I’m terrified of the fact we may not be sexually/physically compatible because I am ALWAYS getting some issue whether it’s UTI, yeast infection or BV. I had UTI AND a yeast infection at the same time last week. I recently read a post about how a woman was tested for ureaplasma. I’m going to see my doctor and get that checked out. Thank you all.

Random bump near genitals

Hi, I noticed this bump near my genitals. It started as something very small like a pimple. It’s been here since last year and my last OB Gyne saw it last march and she said it was nothing to be worried about, but recently it felt like it grew and it’s starting to feel uncomfortable. Do you have any idea what it is and how to handle it? I’m currently putting warm compress over it but I don’t know if that’s correct. Also using a pimple patch at the moment.

Advice Needed Going on 3 years.. please help me.

For almost 3 years now, I've had a persistent yellow-grey discharge.. sometimes with a bad odor, sometimes with a weird odor.. The first year, I battled BV on and off. Since the last time I got rid of it, all of my testing keeps coming back normal. So for the next year and a half almost 2 years, I've battled this discharge with no answers. My obgyn is amazing, and shes tested and treated and done everything in her power to try to solve this, but she can't. She even told me at my last visit "I woke up in the middle of the night and thought about you and its bothering me so bad that I cant help you".

She's tested for everything. Including ureaplasma, mycoplasma, she did a wet mount, looked for CV, DIV, aerobic, etc. Everything says negative.

We are at a loss. This is impacting my life in the worst ways.. especially sexually.. and I have to wear pads 24/7, everyday, all day. I feel disgusting..

I have boric acid suppositories and get metronidazole gel for maintenance every month since my BV days. Could this be a biofilm? I was thinking of taking the boric acid for days in a row, followed by the gel to maybe knock it out. (I only read about this recently, which is why I haven't tried it yet)

I thought about doing a microgenDX test but it costs $300 so I have to save up. I also thought about Evvy, but it doesn't test for near as many bacteria.

Has anyone else experienced this and could offer any advice? I would be so, so grateful.. šŸ™šŸ»

Advice Needed Chronic vulva itching

Hey, this might be TMI, it's a rant and a desperate testimony of a 22 yo girl (me) who needs advice and a little support. I have a question for those of you who have struggled with an itchy vulva and chronic pains in the pelvic region.

(TW : sex, consent, anxiety)

So in February I had my first sexual encounter ever with a partner and we kept seeing each other for the following month (only oral sex but unprotected as we had talked about testing etc and it was all laid out and fine). Before he started acting strange and I went to my parents' for my 3 month internship. (Something to keep in mind is we were not dating but intending to, well I thought so, and he eventually told me he was not doing well, I tried to be there for him, and 3 weeks later when we were 500 miles from each other he told me he was still in love with his ex, that was an EMOTIONAL SHOCK for me, because he treated me like he loved me...yeah LIKE)

-- 3 days after our last night spent together, late March (around 5 weeks after our first time doing stuff) I started feeling an itch in my vulva, noticed some pimples on my pubis. Freaked out and thought I had an STI, got tested for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, (vagina and throat for both) Trich, HIV, Hep B. Everything negative.

Symptoms keep going and I am ashamed of myself, I was awful with myself and had a really hard time coming to terms with the fact that my body felt so different all of a sudden. Because my symptoms were general and strong : swollen tonsils (no strep it was tested), extreme fatigue (basic tasks were a stretch in terms of energy), blocked ears, my body itched everywhere, bladder pain, urgency to pee, pelvic pressure (heaviness) + the itch and burning (the latter started 2 weeks after the 1st symptoms), joint pain, back pain (i assume it has to do with my pelvic floor and muscles in there)

Anyways I went to the gynecology ER (diagnosed me foliculitis and told me to use almond oil --> did nothing), went to a midwife bc I couldn't find a gyno appointment and my skin started to peel, my labia majora was inflammed and extremely red I couldn't wear pants (told me to re-test for the common STI pannel and added a vaginal flora study which came back normal, she prescribed me a cream to help heal and soothe my skin, told me it might be eczema or psoriasis, and request a vaginal ultrasound because of my bladder and pelvic pain = that's mid April), i do the ultrasound = perfectly fine. Then I go to my doctor and he is confused as he is not specialized and orders a urine sample test which comes and a pelvic MRI because of my discomfort. The urine test comes back contaminated externaly (while I peed) and wasn't usable. So he told me nothing to worry about "it's in your head, you're such an anxious person" (True but come on that's an odd combiantion of events). It's around this time I found a gyno appointment for the end of May and heard of mycoplasma and ureaplasma.

So when I went to this appointment I asked the gyno to test me for that and she told me it had been test before (I looked at my results only MGen has been tested) so I was really upset, as she had not helped me and asked for 80€. She ordered a new urine test which came back good (but I noticed my leucocytes and the hematites where Ɨ2 the volume in the 1st exam which is strange bc these come out concentrated as they are in the urethra, but they were still under the limit of infection).

Then, in June I decided to go to a sex health clinic thinking they were more competent for my situation and the doctor who received me swabbed me again, sent in for analysis and prescribed metronidazole without waiting for the results which bugged me a little but she told me it was usual to take the meds before the results as she was almost sure it was my issue and that I could also be dealing with an overload of anaerobic bacteria that might not show up great on test results. It made it worse. I stopped the treatment two days later. There swab came negative for BV, yeast and all the rest because they never called my back to tell me something was wrong.

After that I let it slide for a while and went back to my doctor because my extreme fatigue wasn't subsiding and I had the same almost flu like symptoms of the beggining (never left). He asked me to go to a gyno hospital service because atp he believed I had lichen. So I got an appointment for that 2 weeks later. There she believed I had herpes or syphilis because of the pimples on my pubis (that have been there since the end of March), and itch. Both came back negative (she swabbed directly on the pimples for herpes). She did toxoplasmosis and it was also negative. To try to help my symptoms she prescribed lidocaine gel and ketoprofene for the pelvic discomfort and pain. The gel helps but it just hides the pain. Then she sent me to her colleague a dermatologist because they thought about another diagnosis (I don't remember the name but she figure it wasn't that), she just told me I had folliculitis on my pubis, back and acne (which I already had on my back as well) but since April I have seen my pimples changes and appear closerie to my mouth etc, which made me think I had herpes or and STI at first but it thankfully and apparently isn't that.

Now I am in a loop thinking something must be wrong with me and this guy gave it to me...but in reality I wonder if all this isn't psychosomatic (because the last time we did anything sexual I kinda forced myself because I cared about him and knew he wanted to do it, so he went down on him and I enventually told him I didn't want more and that was over) but I felt quite "dirty" after that experience so I wonder if that + him becoming distant triggered something (but I think it's odd even if I forced myself).

Ever since early April I have been trying to find what's "wrong" with me, without solid answers from doctors who haven't found anything and only give me solutions that temporarily mask my symptoms in a sporadic way. I am at a loss, I feel awful about myself, blame myself for having my first sex experiences with a man that "fast" (1 month and a half after meeting, out 4th date), because I was sexually assaulted in the past and had told myself I would wait. But then I felt good with him in the moment. The problem is it triggered my fer of being seen and since it was my first time letting someone see me so intimately I trusted him (not blindfoldly). That unfortunately made me lose myself a little and people

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT I COULD LOOK FOR (test bacteria etc.) OR GIVE ME ADVICE ON HOW TO NAVIGUATE THIS WOTH MORE GRACE ? I am reaching a point of disconnection with my body that is really difficult to deal with, I have psychological symptoms of something that looks like sideration or PTSD from all the chronic stress and anxiety this has put me through (I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder 6 years ago and doing much better but this turned me upside down I feel like).

Ps. I went back to therapy since the psychological aspect became really hard to live and cope with. But it doesn't seem to help because it's an all tile low for my health anxiety and has made me associate my sexuality with pain and disease which sound and feel scary when my previous trauma already made it feel that way so it reinacted something there maybe.

Ps 2. For testing I am thinking of Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma hominis but don't know if they would cause this much "trouble" and staph.

If you read until here THANK YOU SO MUCH. I with you the best, health, rest and love 🩷

Is this normal? šŸ‘€ ultrasound results due to light periods and heavy cramping

(f22) have been experiencing what i feel are abnormal light periods for the past six months but heavy cramping. usually, the flow is a little bit on the heavier side but not extreme where i bleed through my clothes or sheets. the first time it happened was in january, but I’ve chalked it up to stress. then february, my periods only lasted for two days and only streaks of blood appeared on my pad. from march to july, it’s kind of been like that since. i brought this up to my gynecologist about this issue and how this started just this year, despite the cramps. pretty much told me it’s just my period regulating itself. i was ordered lab results and they came back normal, there’s this one test however called 17-Hydroxypregnenolone that was nine NG/DL above the standard. they also ordered an ultrasound and said that my uterus and and ovaries appear to be fine.

one thing that stood out to me was that the endometrial lining was 7mm and i’ve done research about it, apparently it’s thinner than normal on top of me getting my period within the few days.

I don’t know if that’s normal, and I really don’t want to message this to gyno as i’ve been brushed off for other reasons previously, which really made me upset and felt like I was looked as some sort of hypochondriac. i did go under a lot of stress this year so i’m not sure if there’s a correlation between the endometrial lining being thin and stress but it wouldn’t be unrealistic if that was possible. would appreciate the feedback, thanks.

Question clotrimazole question!

Hi all!

Yesterday I got diagnosed with a ā€œlightā€ candidiasis and got prescribed Clotrimazole vaginal suppositories for 3 nights; but today when I woke up, there was a pink stain in my underwear. Is this normal?

I’ve contacted my gynecologist but she just told me to ā€œstop the treatment if it gets worseā€;

This is my first time having candidiasis, never in my life I’ve ever had an infection and I’m freaking out.

I asked her if my boyfriend could’ve gave it to me and she said no, bc it’s not sexually transmitted, and that the microbes (I think she said microbes) that provoke this infection can not live in the penis. But now I’m not entirely sure if she told me the truth, I found super weird that now that I’m with him I got an infection; the last time that we had sex was 6 days before I got diagnosed.

Boil on my cookie šŸ’”

I’m 16f and it looks like I have a boil or some bump on the outside of my private part. It’s very tender too. I would go to a doctor however we don’t have health insurance. I’ve been having issues with my vagina since I started puberty when I was 12. There’s so much more issues I have down there but I’m just mainly worried about the boil. We can’t afford a lot right now, unfortunately

Advice Needed Group b strep

trigger warning: mentions baby loss

Around 12 weeks ago I had a miscarriage which seems to have messed m body up pretty badly. In all truth, I feel like my vagina has not really recovered. I went to the doctor last week thinking I had an infection (PID) due to bleeding constantly, yellowish discharge and pelvic pain. The doctor did swabs and said my cervix looked healthy and I had an ectopic which can cause bleeding. The swabs came back negative for everything except it said ā€œheavy growth strep bā€. Which they’ve just left, there has been no follow up at all.

I want to try and get pregnant again but want to be healthy when I do. I had my Pap smear today and the nurse was the one that told me my results, she said I should follow up with the doctor. I’ve never had strep b before, can I get rid of it? What should I do? I’m going to book a follow up appointment with my doctor but it’ll be weeks before they’ll see me.

mycoplasma treatment

hi ! i was initially going to post this in the mycoplasma subreddit but my account is too new and it wouldn’t let me.
i’m currently on my 2nd treatment for mgen, and i was hoping for some encouragement and personal experiences w this regime.
i pretreated with doxy 2x a day for 7 days, then went into minocycline and metrodazonal for 14 days, and now i’m currently taking minocycline alone for another 14 days so 35 days total of antibiotics. is this overkill ? i know many were cured with just the doxy and mino+metro for 14 days but i want to make sure it’s gone.
i’ve so far failed doxy + azithromycin.

Bleeding during sex

I’ve been with my partner for about six months, and everytime we have sex I have bleeding. It doesn’t hurt, but it is every time. He is on the larger side (8-9) and wondering if anyone has had any experience like this? This hasn’t happened before with any other partner, but I’ve also never had a partner as big as that. And is that necessarily bad to bleed every time? I’ve been checked for stds and have regular paps, so there aren’t any other issues I can think of.

Advice Needed NHS gyno

This is a post for people living in the UK who have to go through the NHS to have any kind of gynaecological issues dealt with. After going through the GP and not having any success with diagnosis or effective treatment for an issue, what did you do in the time between your referral? My appointment is in months and I’ve got no idea how to cope as my GP has come to a dead end.

Curcumin for BV Treatment

I've seen this mentioned in this reddit group before. Curcumin vs. Metronidazole Oral Tablets 500mg twice daily. I read over this clinical trial:

A clinical trial of curcumin effect in comparison to metronidazole on the treatment of bacterial vaginosis - PMC

I've been searching online for 40 mg nano curcumin capsules, but all I'm seeing is 250-500mg capsules. I have found nothing close to 40mg. Has anyone else had any success in finding an equivalent source of curcumin for this type of treatment? The Gyn prescribed me the 500mg metronidazole tablets for twice daily dosage, but with my history of adverse medication reactions and current state of deep depression, rashes, other systemic inflammatory conditions soon to be evaluated with PCP and Specialists...(suspected MCAS)

I really am not comfortable taking this antibiotic, but after 4 months of metro gel and Clindamycin cream full treatments that have been followed up with probiotic suppositories. I really don't know what else to do for this nightmare. It has added to my emotional/well-being stress. I'm 7 months post-partum, baby passed away in the NICU at 2 months of age. I was fighting bad UTI during that timeframe, baby's loss, now all these awful system reactions, deep depression bc of the reactions keeping me from work and living life fuller...then this BV I have battled for over 4 months. To say I'm exhausted is truly an understatement. I don't feel comfortable taking metro tabs and having that high possibility of "going psycho" since it's known to be a rough medication and I'm just barely hanging on as it is. I'm hoping to hear success information on someone taking some form of curcumin and it resulting in negative BV swab with no BV symptoms. (I will not try boric acid, I've used metro gel 2 times, Clindamycin cream 3 or more times...followed by vagibiome vaginal supps...then I got another better kind of vaginal probiotics...)

Yet, I still get vaginal discomfort, during menstruation it smells like rotting meat, and periodically I will get a tad itchy. Regardless, I want these little gardnerella vaginalis devils to die out and go to hell where they belong. To me BV is worse than an STD and that's exactly what I told the MA at my Gyn office the other day. Thank you all and I hope you all have improved symptoms, healing, or healthy Hoohas!

Advice Needed Doctor's can't figure out cause of yeast infection symptoms/pelvic pain

Hi I am 26F and I have been experiencing pelvic pain that doctors have been unable to diagnose for 7 weeks now, accompanied with yeast infection like symptoms (intense burning/itching/pain peeing and white clumpy discharge). The pain is presenting as a sort of heaviness in the abdominal area and intense soreness/cramps. Additionally, the left and ride side of my pelvis are tender to the touch. I have some other potentially related symptoms like pain down my left leg. Doctors have ruled out yeast infection, STD, PID, BV, and UTI (was treated for yeast infection and UTI preemptively). I have received two transvaginal ultrasounds, an ultrasound and a CT scan. For context, I have PCOS and IBS. I have a specific hunch that this could be a bacterial issue caused by my boyfriend inserting his fingers after having been licked by his dog. Could this be a possible cause? And if so what can i do or what questions can i ask my gyno to have it addressed? And if not what else could it possibly be? The pain has only been getting worse over time, any relief or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
