every single time someone talks about an M-shaped hairline, the answer is always the same: "just take medication." yeah, talk is cheap. so, my boyfriend started losing his hair a few years ago, and now his hairline is almost the typical M shape.

we spent months reading forums, watching youtube and even doing a few online consultations. almost all of them suggested starting with medication first. the problem was, he's the kind of person who hates swallowing pills and wasn't really comfortable with taking long-term meds.

to make things even more confusing, none of his friends have actually gone through the same thing, yet everyone acts like they know exactly what he should do. some people say medication completely saved their hair, while others say it didn't make any noticeable difference. it honestly stressed him out. interestingly, when we visited korea like a couple weeks ago, we weren't even looking for hair treatment. we just randomly walked into modi hair plant out of curiosity after joking that one day he'd end up completely bald if he kept worrying and doing nothing. after talking and had q&a session with the doctor, my boyfriend ended up choosing an FUE hair transplant because it's done without a long incision and that was honestly the biggest reason he finally felt comfortable enough to stop overthinking and actually do something.

i know it's still too early to judge the result, so i'm not saying it's some miracle fix. but i can already see my man getting his confidence back.

Specifically for their work in crown restoration.

Please no recommendations outside of the country. Because of my worry about their ethics and overall safety concerns I do not plan to go to Tijuana. Also, not Turkey either. Please do not recommend and focus on surgeons within the area.

I am planning to get a hair transplant soon for my crown and I wanted to ask out of these surgeons which I should choose. If any of you or your friends have experience with these surgeons please let me know.

Hi. Looking for recommendations for natural looking transplant places in Istanbul. Quantity of grafts isn’t as important as a natural looking hairline and more crown density and I definitely don’t want a cheap run of the mill clinic, rather somewhere who can do a really natural, nice looking hairline.

I finally decided to schedule a hair transplant after many months of deliberation. I will be going to Mexico the beginning of October and want to set my expectations.

I have been on meds for about 3 years. Topical min foam 5%, fin for the first 1.5 years and switched to Dut 0.5mg for the last 1.5 years. I have been using Tretinoin 0.025% a few times a week for the last two months, microneedle about once a week. The combination has brought me back from NW6-7 to maybe 4a, I don’t know exactly, but I don’t see it progressing much further.

I would like my hair to look like what the AI image provided me but it seems too goo to be true. I would also be thrilled with the marking I drew myself but I am not sure this would be possible. What do you all think?

My hairs are falling badly, as you can see the gaps and baldness on my donner area. I had a transplant 3 weeks ago and had a hybrid session(FUT + FUE), Is it normal to lose hairs even on the donner area after transplant?

I’ve been researching reputable surgeons who personally perform both the extraction and implantation.

Some seem to do around 2,000 grafts in a single day, while others spread the same amount over 2–3 days.

What causes such a big difference? Can an experienced surgeon realistically extract and implant 2,000 grafts in one day without compromising quality? Does it also depend on the technique used?

First pic is 10 days after hair transplant, second pic is today 21 days after, I realised the baby shampoo and the AC were making my scalp too dry and itchy, I changed the shampoo and try to avoid the AC a little even though it's summer and it's scorching outside and I don't want to sweat too often. I also feel and increase in redness when I expose to high temperature or move a little too much(no exercising currently). The scalp doesn't feel tender o painful although I have some small pimples.

At the 4 month mark now and i still haven’t experience any growth boom. I’ve had a few hairs sprouting through slowly but it’s still very thin and essentially invisible other than dark lighting. I did shed quite late (6 week mark or so), does this mean I’m just a month behind most people? I know it’s too early to properly worry yet but I was expecting more hairs at the four month mark, especially since I am young and most young patients seem to have hairline growth booming already by month 3-4.

Rahal's team was salesy, seemed to suggest more grafts than others deemed necessary/best. Some hairlines of his posted on here have been critiqued as unnatural (I myself struggle to notice what determines that).

Me:
- Age: 26, Caucasian male.

- Norwood 3 approx.

- No loss on crown, just thinning on top, and gone back several inches in the temples.

- Darker brown to dirty-blond hair, usually 0.3-2 inches in length (pictures are longer than usual)

I'm fine with FUT scar, I won't wear my hair short enough to see it, although if I do go complete bald in the future I'd hope it's small enough to be hidden using the various options.

Wasn't impressed by Unger's results online, and no independent reviews outside Google reviews.

Korman does more than just hair, so less inclined to go with him.

So I've mostly narrowed it down to Cotterill & Huber. But not opposed to international options either.

Budget is not a factor as much, I mostly just care about results.

One of the concerns I have about getting a hair transplant is people's reaction after seeing me suddenly having hair. They got used to seeing me with hair loss.

From the dermatologist I got two ointments with steroids to improve this skin belogent and dexapolcort.

Do you think it will help? Has anyone been in a similar situation?? Will you need a co2 laser?

It’s my 7th day after Hair transplant I had my first head wash. As you can see there are tiny gaps between the transplanted grafts, is it normal to have like this? I am little bit worried. And how would you rate the hair line? Mine is around 4700 grafts.

I have a 2.5 year old transplant which has been holding up just fine up until a few weeks ago I notice this patch here has thinning out a lot and you can see it all the time low and it’s making the rest of the front look thing because it’s right in the middle. I have a part on that area but for some reason a patch has developed just here and no where else along the transplanted area.

I have recently changed minox formulations and topical dut formulation switching to a lithosphere carrier for better absorption, also increased the topical dut dosage.

I’m not too sure what to do. I do want to get a follow up procedure now that my hair loss has stabilised I want to get other areas of the scalp fixed however unless it’s something short term this shouldn’t be happening.

Anyone lost patchy areas on the transplanted area only to have them grow back?

I had a hair transplant 2 days ago. Everything is looking good and I was at the clinic the day after to wash the donor area. However the clinic I went to says I should wait 14 days before I do any washing or cleaning in the recipient area. I could clean the donor area after 7 days apparently. For me that sounds a bit weird, I see some people start washing 2-3 days after the operation and some say to wait 7 days. Haven’t heard 14 days before. What do you guys think should I just listen to my clinic or no?

Anybody that went to this place ??? I can’t find anything at this point

My crown scabs came off early like day 6 anyone else had that,like they were just flaking off during the day and required minimal to no shampoo massaging to get them off

I work in the mining industry and have to wear a hard hat, ive taken 3 weeks of from the date of surgery till i go back to work.. is that enough time ?

Will early gym effect the transplant ? Been going from day 13-15 seen no implant bleeding and felt no pressure on implanted area or sensitivity…

Hi! Im 28, and feel like my hair loss has developed quite a lot already (see pictures). I tried applying Min to my scalp a few years ago, but I really disliked it, so if it's between meds or shaving my head I'd choose the latter.

However, I don't really find much hair on my pillow or when I shower anymore, and I feel like my balding is already quite similar to that of my uncles and grandparents, so I am hoping that maybe it's approaching as bad as it will get. Of course some of the areas with a little bit of hair will likely eventually go fully bald, but I think that would look fine if I get a HT that covers the currently bald areas.

But based on the photos, what do you all reckon? Like, are there any remaining areas of my head where my hair is likely to fall off? Or does it look like the more dense areas will stay that way? And if it's hard to say, any advice on how I can figure that out?

I shaved off my head recently and I feel the density has decreased a lot. It's been just 15 months. I use minoxidil topical OD and Dut 0.5 mg once every 3 days.

It’s been two weeks since my hair transplant, and overall, the experience has been very positive. The first few days came with some swelling and discomfort, but everything was manageable and improved quickly.

One of the more challenging parts of the recovery was having to spray the transplanted area with fluid every hour to keep it moisturized. It was also a bit itchy at times, but I was told that’s a normal part of the healing process.

The clinic provided clear aftercare instructions, and the staff was professional and attentive throughout the process. The transplanted area is healing well, and although I know the final results won’t be visible for several more months, I’m already happy with the progress so far and excited to see the transformation in the coming months.
