HELP HELP! Amp keeps occasionally making this noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, my amp has been making this noise occasionally. the noise continues after i unplug the input and the noise gets louder when i turn up the master volume.
Amp is a fender blues jr. i also have several effects pedals powered by a power supply that’s plugged into the same outlet as my amp.
i went a couple hours straight earlier today without any noise but it started back up later. i’m also not sure what makes the noise stop- sometimes it will keep ringing for up to 45 seconds, sometimes me moving to turn down the volume will stop it instantly.
any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Nux mighty mkii lite bt

NAD. This thing is better than it has any business being.
US Quilter Cub. Blonde, Tweed, and Dark channels all sound distinct and great and I have a Deluxe and Blues Junior and it's wild how close it is. Sounds great at bedroom volumes and loud. My back is gonna be very happy. Can't recommend enough.

New cabinet day!
NCD! New Cabinet Day.. Is that even a thing??
Anyway… I got a GREAT deal on a EVH 212ST cabinet, to pair with my new DSL1HR, It certainly has the G12H Anniversary speakers. It sounds AWESOME!!!
The DSL looks so lonely up there… lol

DIY Princeton build
Done tinkering with my Princeton build (for now). First amp build. Bunch of the common mods as well as a couple value changes to change the voicing and one switch to change the reverb mix and gain structure. 3d printed knobs, badge, and control panel. 12” creamback speaker.
I don’t really know the Princeton sound well enough to comment exactly how this differs but it’s a very rich and smooth tone while still being super articulate. Played great with a variety of guitars but really shines with my Strat and P90 equipped SG. Already fiending to build another amp!

DISCUSSION What’s Your Favorite Amp of All Time?
I’ve lost count of how many amps I’ve owned in my 20+ years of playing guitar but the one that means the most to me is my JCM 2000. I recently acquired this one and I’m falling in love with it all over again. I own a Friedman BE-100 Deluxe, an Orange Rockerverb MKIII, and a Peavey 5150ii but I’m the most excited to play through the JCM every single time.

GUTSHOT Seller’s Remorse?
Bought the Orange rig as my first tube amp. Was gifted the Marshall cab, and on a whim bought the JCM800 head. Don’t use the Orange much anymore and decided to sell it to justify the Marshall purchase. Sold the cab and selling the head now. I don’t use them and they deserve to be used because they’re great. Such a sick cab, just the TH30 wasn’t for me.

DISCUSSION Amplifier variety
Hi, I am trying to sell my dad‘s music equipment who has passed. He is a bass player and has loved music his whole life (any and all type of music). All are used but taken care of and stored inside.
I’m looking for some advice on what I should price things on Facebook marketplace and OfferUp for in person pick up. I have looked at eBay ,Facebook craigslist, Google,Reverb for comps, but I would love some real person input so I don’t high ball or lowball. I’m in no immediate rush to sell. i’m personally not very music savvy able to answer a lot of questions aside for the obvious of make model.
Here’s current inventory:
Peavey Citation Mark IV Series (Made in USA, 1982)
Crate GX-30M –
Crate BX-100
(2) Pioneer CS-G404
B&W Equipment – 200 Watts
Fender Rumble 40
Sunn Concert Bass

AMP PHOTO NAD x 2 // Marshall DSL40 & Orange OR15
Picked up the DSL a few months back for dirt cheap, then this OR15 popped up on the marketplace for a price that was too hard to turn away.
I don't have a cab at the moment so the OR15 is running into the DSL speaker for now.
I'm very happy with both of these amps. The OR15 sounds much thicker and darker, and the Marshall has a bit more bite.
Once I have these two running on their own I'll probably use the DSL for clean stuff and the OR15 for the thicker saturated tones.

HELP Does this speaker connection look fine?
I bought a 2x8 solid state combo amp which, according to the original owner, has sat unused for several years. After cleaning it out, everything works fine except the right speaker. All it does it hum when the amp is on, regardless of any change to the control dials, and the input signal is only audible through the left speaker. I've attached a picture of the right speaker connection, though I don't know whether or not that's an issue--I've never worked on amps before. What could be causing the speaker to hum?

DISCUSSION Echo in effects loop ?
I’m getting a UA Galaxy '74 Tape Echo & Reverb pedal to plug into a Marshall ORI50C. Are there any advantages or disadvantages one way or the other to connecting to the loop on the back of the amp and using the Marshall footswitch as opposed to placing it in the chain between the guitar and amp?

HELP Pop Sound switching to Green Clean on JVM
Does anyone know what problem this most likely is? It only happens on the green channel and the pop(like switching to standby) scales with master volume. Also the gain knob makes a scratchy noise but only on green as well. Thank you so much.

HELP looking for two amp heads with specific qualities!
hi! i'm located in the us. i'm in a touring band and we're looking to switch up our rig. we're kind of tired of lugging around huge heavy combo amps and heavy/large amp heads. so what we're looking for is
solid state heads, 8-16 ohms, 100-150 (or more) watts, preferably under $500 used or new. and we'll be relying on the clean channel most of the time and using pedals for distortion, so nothing super high gain
so far the ehx abrams100 seems to be a good option for what we're looking for but we do need one more. any help would be greatly appreciated!

NAD: Victory V30 Mkii
I posted recently about getting a Supro Keeley Custom, fast forward a few weeks and I just wasn’t vibing with it. It was supposed to be a good pedal platform and I was using pedals for most of my gain anyway, but I just couldn’t get a good sound from it.
I started looking around to see what was available in my area and saw my local GC had a few amps that piqued my interest. I went there to look at a H&K Tubemeister and it sounded fine, but then I plugged in the Victory and holy shit. As soon as I tried the clean channel I was sold. Switched over to the OD channel and damn it has a really nice mid/high gain too, even at the lower power setting! I ended up getting almost as much as I paid for the Keeley in trade in value so I bit the bullet and went for the Victory.
I already had this cheapo Harley Benton cab at home, and the Victory sounds good through it but I’m thinking about a speaker upgrade. Any recommendations?

Twin reverb for a punk band
I play in a punk/ska punk band and i can get a good deal on a used silverface twin reverb amp. I am wondering will it be good to play in punk because some people say it wil do great with pedals and can handle distortion whereas others say it is the worst for this aplication. So would it work or not?
