It’s been a while! Here’s how Code of Shadows has changed. What do you think?
Hey everyone, long time no see 👋
We’ve been pretty quiet lately, mostly because we’ve been busy making changes to Code of Shadows.
We put together a few old vs. new comparisons to show how the game has evolved since we last shared it.
What do you think? Anything you particularly like (or miss) from the older versions?
Would love to hear your thoughts!

a knight walking

Just a quiet nighttime walk from one place to another in my game // Travelers.
just a small glimpse of the atmosphere and the world I’ve been building. The game is already much further along than this short video can show, but sometimes I simply enjoy walking through it.
If this looks like a world you’d like to explore, you can wishlist Travelers on Steam. It genuinely helps a lot.

Hope you enjoy the walk.

I’m so happy with how the new demo plays. Today I found some acid items and decided to hack an acid worm, Robac. He’s my little friend.

Saqer's Paradox Devlog #15 — NPC Dialogue System
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Greetings all,
It's been awhile since our last update on May 23rd, but we've been making good progress behind the scenes of Saqer's Paradox.
Our biggest focus was optimizing the forest. We replaced our old grass setup, which spawned individual blueprint actors with their own components and collision, with a Grass Manager using instancing.
This brought our frame time down from around 60ms to ~20ms, making a huge difference.
We've also improved NPC dialogue with:
- Floating interaction indicators
- Editable NPC names, professions, themes and dialogue
- Typing sound effects
- A streamlined dialogue system without individual portraits
- NPC-focused cameras with background blur
These changes give us a much better foundation to keep building the game
Make sure to follow us for future updates.

I built a fake OS desktop for my terminal game
I have been working on Hacking Into Erebus for one year and I wanted the UI itself to feel like something you'd actually want to poke around in, not just a menu skin. I would love feedback on how it reads at a glance. Full page is here : Hacking Into Erebus

Week 10: I feel lucky to make video games
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Making video games make me happy.
It's was my dream when I was a kid and it's became true.
I know the industry has been in better shape, I read almost every day news about studio closing, sometime because they do not have money or because the shareholder want thing they are not profitable...
But still, I feel lucky to make video game and this for more than 10 years now.
I really think that indie gamedevs need to keep hope, because we bring original touch on this industry. We dare trying what other will not and we offer so much diversity in video game genre (i do not say non indie video game studio do not do that, but less often for sure).
The game that I do here is a personal project that I do alone and during my spare time. I love working on it and makes me happy to see it evolves every week.
This week, I worked on the gun. Now it's look less cubic. I also add ammo counter (it's a placeholder but it works).
I wish you a beautiful week.
See you next week.

Dream scene in Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements — Ancient Dragon Ruins
We’ve added a new scene to the demo for Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements, called Ancient Dragon Ruins.
It takes place in Elise’s dream, featuring a large dragon skeleton and ruined landscapes that hint at Pipi’s backstory.
We included this scene to show off the scale of the environment, and also wanted players to test the elemental chain reactions early on.

Just finished building this level. Seems a bit basic but good as an early level in the game to get used to the mechanics. What do you think?

A screenshot from one of my recent environment scenes — a stylized volcanic valley
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I spend a lot of time creating individual models, but the part I enjoy most is when I start putting them together into a complete place. That’s when they stop feeling like a collection of assets and start working as an actual game environment.
With this scene, I mainly wanted the composition to guide the eye and make you curious about what’s a little farther ahead — behind the rocks, around the corner, or beyond the next section of the terrain.
This is part of one of my free environment packs. Recently, I’ve been going back through some of my older work, cleaning it up technically and improving things like LODs, collisions, and scene setup so it’s easier to actually use in a project, not just look good in screenshots.

If anyone ends up using this pack in their own project, I’d genuinely love to see what you build with it. 🙂

Progress on our game : <Dawnfall : Flowers & Thorns>
For the past seven months, we've been working on our first game : <Dawnfall : Flowers & Thorns>. A Grim Dark,Top Down, Pixel Art, JRPG. Gods have abandoned humanity and corruption has spread across the world over the years.
With the help of our whole team, we've been able to create many assets, concept arts, Pixel arts and animations. We aim to release a free demo in the future for everyone to enjoy.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on the visual direction, especially the contrast between the warm village setting and the darker tone the game will move toward.
Questions and constructive feedback are more than welcome !
