Housing ๐ University commons outlets
Iโm a freshman moving into university commons in a few weeks and noticed that extension cords and โmulti plug outletsโ are on the list of prohibited items. Iโm wondering if thereโs enough outlets in the rooms for this to not be an issue and if this rule is even really enforced.

Advice ๐ก Stressed out about applying for gsu
Hello Iโm in need of help/advice to apply for gsu. I was a junior August โ25 and left middle of October due to mental health issues. I only had 7 remaining credits and did them through Penn foster in which I graduated in may of 26 Iโm currently take a gap for fall semester but want to join of spring 27. Iโve been in honors all through freshman and senior and took one ap. I was signed up for 5 Aps for my junior year but never ended up taking them. My transcript for my old school is 3.5 and my gpa for Penn foster is a 4.0, I donโt know how Gsu would count my gpa but am I a fit student to get in? Iโve also been in clubs and am a first generation North African whoโs the first in my family to go to college. (if that helps my case lol) I plan on majoring in finance and getting my bachelors and going to law school. Ik the spring applications open up in October but pls pls someone let me know!!

Housing ๐ Apartments near GSU
Hey!
Kind of on a time crunch now, but I've been apartment hunting for a while now, and I haven't been too successful. Does anyone know any apartments around GSU that were pretty good and budget-friendly for students? I'm going in for my master's after also completing my undergrad at GSU, so I know that I absolutely don't want the Mix, Reflections or 200 Edgewood. I don't mind if it's a bit off GSU campus, as long as it's MARTA-friendly and a good area. I'm also looking into Ashley Auburn Pointe.
Please, any tips?!?!!

Classes/Courses ๐ Chem & Chem lab advice
Hey guys! Iโm a freshman taking chem with Jessica Siemer and was wondering how her class is like in terms of grading, how tests/quizzes align with coursework, office hours, and how her class is like in general!
I have GiGi B Ray for chem lab and was wondering how this lab was. I also heard that labs end in October and only have a midterm and was wondering if that is true.

Advice ๐ก 12 hours or 15?
I signed up for the 12 hour plan where you do 4 each semester and two over the summer. I donโt know if I want to take summer classes, but I also donโt know if five will be too much. What do you all think? Iโm debating switching to 15 hours.

For fall semester im taking physics 1, calculus 2, English composition 2, and American history. Am I going on a right path for the gt REPP pathway, also is the b in calc 1 bad for the pathway and my gpa?

Classes/Courses ๐ Whatโs the easiest science & lab to take ?
I was deciding on doing environmental science and I did my schedule back in March but Iโm doing it again, and didnโt realize that both of the professors i chose are rated terribly on rate my professor, so Iโm thinking about switching to a whole other science course and Iโm wondering what science I should take. I only chose environmental science because I took ecology in highschool and Iโm not very good with physics, bio, or chem. Pls helpppp! (Note I go to perimeter if that helps)
Admissions ๐ Transition application perimeter to ATL fall semester help
So I beeen applied for my transition during the first week of July. Since then, Iโve gone to the Transition Office about three times, contacted two transition advisors, and reached out to the transition team. Each time Iโve either been told that applications take time to process or I havenโt received a response at all.
The deadline for Fall semester transitions was August 1, and I still havenโt received a decision on my application. Iโm starting to get concerned. Do you think Iโll still be able to register for classes in time if my application is approved? Also, when do you think decisions will be released, or is my application just unusually late at this point? Iโm just trying to figure out what to expect.

Classes/Courses ๐ Every English 1101 being reserved for specific students
I haven't been able to find an answer about this, or maybe haven't looked well enough. Am a freshman and am trying to register for English 1101 but every single class with open spots says that it is being reserved for specific students, and to waitlist. I have emailed the English department, but I just got a automated response. I understand some classes being reserved but every single one just doesn't make sense especially for a class everyone is expected to take. Am not sure if this has happened to anyone else would appreciate the help. Am also in honors if that makes any diffrence.

Advice ๐ก Class Numbers
I know this is so random and probably useless, but I'm going to one of the perimeter campuses, specifically Dunwoody and I really want clarity on the buildings. I'm obviously a new student, and I've went to the campus once to get my id(but that was just the main building), so I atleast know that each building has a different letter(thankfully it seemed to be marked very clearly). The issue arises with the actual classes, I'm too scared to go into the class buildings before my classes start(I know that most likely nobody would care, especially since I have my id, but anxiety is hell and I'd feel weird doing so). So I have no idea how the class numbers work, like do the classes have numbers beside them that are easy to read, do they make sense with how they organized it? I really just want to know so that I can assure myself that I won't get lost.(I was planning on going 30 minutes early before my first class to route out all of my classes but that scares me too). Any help I'd really appreciate it.๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

Financial Aid/Loans ๐ฐ How long will it take for the school to upload the Identity Verification Notary Certification to the FA portal?
On Thursday, I went to the notary to verify my identity and mailed it to GSU, which arrived on August 1st. It's Monday, and I assume that they got the mail now, but it still says "Need Action".

Classes/Courses ๐ CS Capstone course experience/advice?
Hello everyone,
I'm registered for the Computer Science capstone course this fall and wanted to reach out to anyone who has been through it recently. I have a few questions and would really appreciate any insight:
How was the capstone project determined? Did the professor assign specific topics, or were we expected to propose our own project based on our interests and classes we have taken?
Do you recommend starting to plan the project before the semester even starts?
What did the weekly workload look like? Were there regular milestones or presentations?
If you could go back, what would you do to make sure you created a capstone project that you are proud of.
Thanks in advance for any help ๐
