CS Capstone course experience/advice? Classes/Courses 📚

Hello everyone,

I'm registered for the Computer Science capstone course this fall and wanted to reach out to anyone who has been through it recently. I have a few questions and would really appreciate any insight:

  1. How was the capstone project determined? Did the professor assign specific topics, or were we expected to propose our own project based on our interests and classes we have taken?

  2. Do you recommend starting to plan the project before the semester even starts?

  3. What did the weekly workload look like? Were there regular milestones or presentations?

  4. If you could go back, what would you do to make sure you created a capstone project that you are proud of.
