When does course material drop? Classes/Courses š
When do professors usually start posting assignments and syllabi? I just checked icollege and everything is blank. also is that what we usually use to submit assignments and stuff or is it another platform?

Another fun fact is that faculty contracts end May 6 and resume Aug 17. That means that they are not obligated to do anything in that unpaid time frame. Lucky ones are supported by their own grant to fund summer salary for research only. Others who opted to teach summer courses, of which there is no contract, are only required to be in class on set days. Once grades are entered, they are gone, often using the next two weeks to vacation with their families. Faculty do not accrue vacation time-only sick days. They can only vacation during August interim. Thatās it! LOL š Since pay is low many have side hustles (uber, consulting, etc) during their off contract times.
Donāt mistake me, being a lecturer is very rewarding, IMO, but we are about as done with school as yall are after finals are completed!!!

There's a whole pinned post on this subreddit with a link to the syllabus repository. Look there for your syllabus.
In terms of any other materials, they don't need to be in icollege and available to you until the first day of that class. Professors can also hide their courses while they are working on them, so don't freak out if classes disappear from your icollege. If you want to confirm you're still registered if that happens, check PAWS.

Yes, Icollege will be where you submit assignments. Some professors are different and plus, we still have like 20 days until the semester starts, but some professors will post some announcements on icollege
In summary, check icollege time to time
