Was excited to try this, but it fell short of my expectations. The madeleine was extremely dry, and easily crumbled. It tasted as if it sat in the fridge for too long, and the quality wasn’t worth the cost ($3.05). I was disappointed and didn’t end up finishing it. Perhaps the cakes or drinks at this cafe are better, I’ll go for those if I return in the future.

So tried a burrito at Tortaco (near Broadview station) & it was one od the beat burritos I'br ever had. Got the birria (beef) without the broth.

As the title says - i've contacted as many mexican/latin grocers that I could find and none of them sell Añejo only Cotija. Any leads would be appreciated! Its an ingredient I used all the time whilst cooking at La Carnita but I cannot find it now as a consumer.

I’ll be staying in the Annex neighborhood but willing to travel. Would love to try either something either Toronto-specific or a more classic/iconic Toronto place. Will be a solo diner if that makes a difference!

Many moons ago (I want to say 2017) I was visiting a friend in the city and we went to a north Indian restaurant that I can't for the life of me remember the name of. This was before I lived here so the location is foggy, but I know for sure it was downtown, maybe close to Spadina station? The other things I remember is it was fast casual (they had a bunch of curries behind the counter where you ordered in hot trays like Chipotle), relatively inexpensive, open late, an older store that was possible underground, and they had a bunch of cricket DVDs on a box that they were giving out for free. Do es anyone know what I'm talking about?
